I specifically sought this place out because they do waterless pedicures which are way more hygienic than traditional pedicures where you soak your feet. I booked their waterless pedicure and their gel x extension manicure. I really enjoyed my pedicure, it was just as relaxing as a traditional pedicure. This will definitely be my go to for pedicures for here on out! However, I'm not fully convinced I'll keep getting my manicures here. Don't get me wrong my manicure was IMPECCABLE, I got gorgeous almond shaped gel x extensions but the manicures seem limited here. I was hoping to get the gel x in coffin/ square shape but they only had almond shaped extensions. I originally told my nail tech I wanted coffin shaped, and she tried to shape the almond extensions like a coffin- but the extensions were so almond already it just didn't look right trying to convert it into coffin. I told the nail tech that almond will be fine. Which it was fine, but I know in the future there will be times where I'll want to have coffin nails. And it seems like their extensions are only limited to almond. Additionally, my appointment took really really long! My appointment started at 11 and I didn't leave until 1:30 ish. Literally a 2 1/2 hour appointment. I don't think any of my appointments have ever taken that long! Again, my nail techs work was impeccable and I appreciate her attention to detail, but 2 1/2 hours seems excessive. In total I paid $163 and separately paid a $20 tip! Final thoughts: it's a gorgeous salon with friendly service and great work. I will definitely continue to come for those amazing waterless pedicures! read more

After trying multiple different nail salons in the area, I can confidently say Bellaviva will be my go to! It was easy and convenient to get a same day online appointment with my sister. We both went with the signature BV mani and were in and out in about 45 minutes. Everyone was very friendly, and the salon was clean and comfortably decorated. Horrible experience. Booked for a 2:50 gel removal. Came 45 minutes early so I waited til 2:50. Brittany was running late with a client and no one could simply take off my extensions. Brittany didn't even look up to apologize or even say hello. Iman thankfully took off my gel extensions. I left the shop at 4:15. I was there that long for a simple gel x removal didn't get a manicure or anything. Mind you, 2 nails broke off after getting them done a week ago. One broke on my vacation after getting them done 2 days prior. To top it off the site says $10 but it was $15. This is really upsetting. Never again. read more

My friend and I had a horrible experience getting pedicures here. It was explained to us that these would be "waterless" pedicures for $53 and we agreed to give it a shot. There are no massage chairs for the pedicures and the chairs are so uncomfortable and do not have a head rest. They have these foot rests that are not fixed to anything so putting any weight on it or relaxing is not an option. We both agreed that it felt like a workout to even place our feet on it and our poor nail techs had to try to hold it down so that we could put any weight on it at all. The "steam" was nonexistent and the towels were barely warm. My feet were uncomfortable and freezing. There is no scrub or foot massage involved in this pedicure. The nail tech explained to me that she didn't feel comfortable massaging my feet because I am pregnant. Not sure what the excuse was for my friend not getting any sort of massage as she is not pregnant. The nail polish they used was a quick dry type and was very gunky. The rim around the nail polish was also extremely caked with old polish. The quality of the polish was so poor that the nail tech working on my friend had to redo her toe because it kept coming out chunky. There also didn't seem to be enough supplies as the nail techs kept trying to find base and top coats and resorted to sharing and waiting for each other to finish to use it and it seemed stressful. To be clear, I do not blame the nail techs. The salon is overpriced and under delivers. Their methods and equipment are cheap and uncomfortable. Extremely disappointing and will never be back. read more

I got dragged to accompany my girlfriend. They asked me if I wanted a pedicure while I wait. I wasn't really down for it but I've never had my feet worked on so why not. Was actually one of the best decision I have made for my feet. They removed all the callous that was built up from all the running and sprinting I do and now i can actually feel the ground more while im playing basketball! They are appointment only and that means full attention on you. They don't do any add-on tips or acrylics tips so be prepared to have your nails done at whatever length they are. I got my wedding nails done here with the premium gels which are less toxic and super gentle. They have a huge selection of colors and can also add art, stamps, stickers, and jewels. The gels lasted me 4-5 weeks without any chips. Their waterless pedis are a must-try at least once. I loved that I didn't have to put my feet into a questionably sanitary tub. I haven't been to a nail salon in years and decided to book an appointment with this salon, not really fully knowing much about them besides their prices were expensive. Upon first setting foot in the salon, it was extremely aesthetically pleasing and truly a unique looking salon! I'd never seen one so pretty, peaceful, and ripe with many different plants and succulents. The furniture was really classy as well. Overall, great décor! I had the nail technician Dorothy, and she was extremely nice and greeted me by name when I came in for my appointment (i came in a little early). There was no wait time in between, either! The pedicure I got, which they only do with hot towels/no soaking in water, was amazing. I didn't know that pedicures could be done without soaking in gross/questionably clean water. Dorothy opened everything she used on me from a new package, and the hot towels felt great. This place is, without question, very clean! They do have a limited amount of colors you can get (both for pedicures and manicures) but that wasn't really an issue for me. The gel/no chip manicure I got seemed great the day (and a few days after) I got it. The reason for my three stars is because I was told this gel manicure would last three weeks, however my manicure by day 3 or 4 started yellowing at the ends and peeling upwards. I don't do much with my hands so that was surprising to me that they'd gone so gross so fast... i love the atmosphere of this place, and the service was really great. It's quite hard for me to find a salon I can be comfortable at, so this place, despite my manicure fail, really made an impression on me. I think I would come back.. but I'd have to try something different, because this gel manicure ($45 by the way) was not worth it. read more

She is not only doing it prefect, but could also design and change it upon my request! And it does last long (it has been 2 weeks so far and still remain perfectly!) The employees were very friendly and super nice. they fixed it for me because I messed up my nail couple times. I did the GelX extension and nail art art design. I was there a month ago got my nails done with the builder gel paid $85 for them to lift in a week I went back and blamed it on my job so they fixed it, which I'm appreciate them for doing that. After a few days my nails started chipping and once again the builder gel was lifting. I bet they can do other services well but builder gel isn't it. I like the atmosphere and the workers are nice. It was upsetting they over price and then they blame you for the outcome of the lift or chip. That being said will not recommend to go if it's for builder gel application. read more

Each nail artist has been very nice and respectful towards me and I don't think their prices are unreasonable either. This was my first time visiting this nail bar. I walked in at approximately at 4:30pm on 11/23/22 not knowing this place is by appointment only. I explained that I wanted to get nail art done and the lady that greated me said they could take me but not until 6:20pm that same day, which I was fine with waiting till then. Then she proceeded to tell me that she could get me started by removing the dip powder I already had on my nails and I could come back later at 6:20pm to get the manicure with nail art done. I agreed and she had me take a seat at her work station. The whole dip powder removal process took her an hour to complete. During the removal process she asked another nail tech if she could do my nails with nail art at 6:20pm and the tech said no, that I would have to make an appointment for another day. Then she came back to me with color samples during the removal process which then I was confused because she had told me earlier that I'd come back later to get my nails done. Then I told her that I was fine with coming back another day if they didn't have time today, since I overheard the conversation with the other nail tech. Clearly there was a language barrier because she didn't seem to comprehend what I was saying and I had a hard time understanding what she was saying. Overall it was a confusing and disappointing experience because at the end of my visit I still had pieces of dip powder on my nails. read more

I think I finally found a nail salon that I love in Naperville. For awhile, I've been specifically looking for nail salons in/near Naperville that provide gel-x extensions but also can do range of nail arts. I know there are many places in Chicago but I just didn't want to continue to drive all the way into the city just for nails. But after quite the search, I finally found one! Last Thursday around noon, I went in for my gel-x nail appointment but Dorothy took me in. By the first glance, the salon was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Dorothy got started on my nails and wow, she was so meticulous and detail-oriented!! I was also very pleasantly surprised about how clean their equipments were. They were individually packed and I even saw the UV sanitizer/sterilizer. This was a huge plus for me just because of COVID. Also, I've had my fair share of experiences where some nail technicians just rush through without really thinking about the customers, but Dorothy really made sure that I was satisfied with every single nail. And as a result, my nails turned out to be SO. FREAKIN. GORGEOUS. It was EXACTLY what I wanted - simple natural nails with a hint of pink and minimal gems. And wow, can I talk about how not overly priced they were?? I've had places that charge me $5 PER GEM! Bellaviva's combination of fair prices and amazing customer experience definitely got me thinking about my next appointment. I cannot recommend Bellaviva enough. I will definitely be coming back for another gel-x appointment and possibly a pedicure. Please give this nail salon a try. Once you try it, I know you'll love it. As for my star rating, the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because: 1. My whole nail appointment took a bit longer than expected. Going in, I was expecting to spend about an hour and a half but after everything was done, it took about two hours and a half....I truly did appreciate how Dorothy was meticulous but I do think there are ways to be meticulous but also time efficient. 2. Just after one week or less, I've been noticing some of my nails slightly lifting by the cuticles. This causes my hair to get caught between my natural nails and the gel-x nail. It's not a big deal (yet) but it's definitely a bit annoying. I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen after only a week, but I feel like it shouldn't?
