They are extraordinarily kind, quick-witted and a pleasure to interact with on a daily basis. Our daughter's teachers, from Ms Joanna when she was an infant - to Ms Zee, once she hit elementry school -have taken care of our kid like she was one of their own. Every teacher and administrator that our daughter has come in contact with has kept a gentle sense of humor when confronted with our daughter's awe-inspiring imagination. But I would say driving a lit longer and have your kids in a safe school with management/owner who sincerely value their customers is well invested and worth it. That being said, still I am giving that place one star while it deserves none, only because of Catarina, the admission coordinator. She is the sweetest person ever.

Many of the long-tenured teachers and administrative staff who had been with the school for 5+ years are no longer there, and the turnover has been very noticeable. The environment and approach feel completely different from what originally made this school such a wonderful place. If you are specifically looking for an authentic Montessori environment, I would strongly encourage you to do your research before enrolling here. Based on my experience, the school no longer reflects the Montessori philosophy and standards that initially attracted us. The changes in staff and classroom approach have been extremely disappointing. There was a child left outside for 10 minutes unattended and footage deleted. I feel horrible for not only the parents but this precious child. I cannot imagine how scary that must've been. There have also been ongoing plumbing issues, including situations where the school has had to shut down because of backed-up toilets in classrooms. We received an $50 for the week. yikes! Over the past six or more months, I have also noticed a persistent mildew/musty and unpleasant smell throughout the school. Unfortunately, the facility simply does not feel as clean or well-maintained as it once did. It genuinely hurts to leave this review because I once had such a positive opinion of this school and would have gladly recommended it. However, the changes over the past several months have been significant, and I can no longer recommend it to other families. I sincerely hope the school addresses the staffing, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall management concerns because there was once something very special here. We had previous problems with her getting diaper rashes because she was being kept in poopy diapers for a long time, this was becoming more manageable since she is currently potty training but if you have a young child that will likely be an issue, I changed her diaper myself at the school multiple times at pick up because of the state I found her in. Stephanie does morning drop off and always goes out of the way to make it easy on us all. Sasmita is truly a godsend. She is our daughter's teacher. Our daughter used to be quiet and shy and now has outstanding vocabulary and loves her dance parties with Sasmita. Sasmita treats all the children like her own with hugs, support, compassion and discipline. We get tons of pictures/ videos throughout the day that help us feel at ease and know she is having a good day. She also sends us home with lots of artwork that I know we will treasure for years to come. Our family is so grateful for the wonderful group of teachers at this school.

No word if this was an adult or another kid but we knew nothing would come from bringing it up since nothing happened the previous incident either. Where do I even begin? My son started attending Creative…read moreWorld Georgetown in March, and from the very beginning, there were red flags. Initially, we were hopeful and gave the school the benefit of the doubt, believing things would improve. Unfortunately, they only got worse. Within days, my son began coming home with multiple bite marks -- not small ones, either. These were severe enough that you could count the teeth. To this day, he has a scar on his arm from a bite he received while under their care. We were constantly met with excuses like "this is normal for the age" or "we can't provide one-on-one care." The school lacked to provide multiple incident reports for these injuries unless I found them myself and asked. Only some of them were created. After pushing for weeks, they finally moved my son to the next classroom up as he approached two years old -- something they had promised to do earlier in the month but again Erica provided me with multiple excuses as to why that wasn't happening. In this classroom, I began to notice a troubling pattern. My son, who was in the middle of potty training and doing well at home, suddenly regressed. He developed a severe diaper rash that we had to treat with prescription medication. I would clear it up over the weekend, only for it to return by Monday evening. It became clear he was not being changed regularly, and teachers admitted to this indirectly when I addressed it. I raised these concerns with the assistant director (Andrea), the director (Erica), the regional director (Lisa), and eventually the owner. I even provided emails with imaging. I was told to just "bite the bullet" and put him in underwear. Against my better judgment -- and despite knowing he wasn't quite ready -- I complied. Only then did they begin taking him to the bathroom more regularly, but the care and consistency still fluctuated. When he turned two and entered the "terrible twos" stage, my son began acting out occasionally -- as any child his age might. Instead of responding with developmental understanding, his teacher began accusing him of "bullying" her. I was told he pinched her for attention and hit her. I acknowledged these behaviors and shared the steps I was taking at home to correct them. However, these incidents were rarely documented in any formal report -- only mentioned in passing. Meanwhile, I witnessed other children hit or push my son without any consequences or follow-up from staff. During a meeting about his behavior, I was told by the staff -- including the director, Miss Erica -- that "it's okay for children to hit each other, but not a teacher." When I expressed concern about the lack of enrichment in the classroom -- where children were expected to play with puzzles missing pieces and books without pages -- it was brushed off. The environment was clearly not designed to engage or stimulate two-year-olds. The final straw came when I walked into the classroom unannounced and found my child physically restrained. He was seated in a chair, pinned between the table and a teacher's legs. The other children were playing while my son sat there, alone and without toys or books. This was deeply disturbing and unacceptable. As a former daycare teacher with experience in two-year-old classrooms, I know this job is hard and underpaid. But that does not excuse neglect, lack of training, or emotional harm to children. Every child deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and care -- especially at such a vulnerable age. I've now removed my son from Creative World Georgetown (and are still paying for 2 weeks notice here as well as another daycares fees) and am paying an exorbitant amount for a new daycare, just to undo the harm that was caused. My son has been left with bruises, scars, and emotional trauma. If you're a parent searching for a place where your child will be safe, supported, and nurtured -- do not send them to Creative World Georgetown

I am so incredibly disappointed in Upstream's decision to no longer have staff wear face masks. We…read morewere extremely excited to have our infant son go to preschool here, but Monday I showed up to pick him up and his teachers weren't wearing masks. They had removed them during the day without notice, as they were no longer technically required. I pleaded directly with his teachers to see if they were open to wearing them voluntarily, then with the director Jeneffer. My husband and I decided to withdraw our son. Even if they agreed at that point they had broken our trust; there was no way of knowing if staff would wear their masks when we weren't there. My husband spoke with the owner Emily on the phone, who during a heated conversation had a few odd things to say about the pandemic (including saying that staff weren't wearing masks during our tour in January, so we can't expect them now. Like, what?). We paid half tuition in July to save our son's spot under Emily's assurance that they would take every precaution when he started school in August. One month in, I feel duped and I'm suddenly without childcare. This is an excellent school, but I can't recommend them during the pandemic.

They will try to take away time from your lunch and have you do other stuff for the job, as if I'm not here full time already and need my full hour of lunch to relax for me as I should. 6. I was being asked by Jennifer, Where am I going for lunch because I did not want to stay in the building for my lunch. When I am off the clock, That is none of your concern first and foremost. I had asked her where Easter eggs were and that's when she showed me in the shed and started questioning me with abnormal questions where no one else was around and could hear the conversation. My privacy felt violated, I felt extremely uncomfortable. 7. If you've never been with a certain age group before, they will throw you in a class by yourself and expect you to know how to do everything, then give you attitude for not knowing and micromanage you for not doing this or that. 8. I unfortunately thought maybe this would've been a good place for myself to work at. Don't be fooled by a smile, it absolutely disgust me with the way these "women" behaved towards me and other employees. When parents are out the building, they are different towards the kids and us employees. The lazy employees/ bossy employees get prioritized, But the hard workers get treated horribly. that's why they can't find assistant teachers to stick around long in classrooms.
