My daughter is currently in Girls 2 and Tumbling 1, so the review is based on that class. Here's the scoop: -The classes are capped in sizes. They are strict about coach to student ratio. I appreciate this because the kids are doing things that they could easily get hurt if not monitored appropriately. It seems to be 8 kids per coach and most of the time it's even smaller. -The coaches are awesome. They all are great with the kids. They are always happy and very helpful to the students. I've seen them spend quality time with each kid to help the child progress on their skills. My daughter has told me how much her coaches care about her. She's 7 and feels great going to class, that says it all right there. -The gym area is huge. There's lots of space for the kids to move around. Lots of equipment so all of the kids in class can work on their stuff with minimal downtime. The equipment all is in good shape and well maintained. -There's a lot of different skill leveled classes. No matter your kid's skill level, they are in a class that's appropriate and one they they have fun and improve in. We have been at other gyms where did not happen, so I like this. -They offer lots of fun extra classes. About once a month they have a "Kid's Night Out" on a Friday from 7-10pm. My daughter thinks it's a party for the kids to go to and loves it. My hubby and I love that we can squeeze in a date night. More than anything, the coaches make soccer FUN! My son always has a smile on his face, gives his best effort, and is excited to come back. Compared to my son's club practices and other training sessions, nobody keeps him as engaged and in love with playing as 1A does. I think the technical trainings are fantastic and have seen his skills improve with each session. 1 hour spent at 1A gives him THOUSANDS of quality touches, reps, and skills he can take back to the field. An hour here is better than 2 weeks of training with his club. He absolutely loves the winter, spring break, and summer half-day camps and it is his top choice whenever we ask him what camps he wants to do. The facility is great as well, with a nice lounge area where parents can work or watch their kids. Thought it might be a good option for us, so wanted to check it out. After checking in, they said the coach would be out soon and showed us where to line up. When the time came, the kids lined up and were called in, but the ninja coach never came to introduce herself, which was disappointing. After a group stretching session, they split off into their own programs. At the ninja station, there just was not much going on. I was bored just watching them repeat the same few things over and over again. The instructor was bored too as she was yawning nonstop. At one point she was literally just sitting there while the kids kind of did free play on their own. I'm not sure if they do different things each class or if it's the same but this looks like it would get boring after 3-4 sessions. Once it was over, the coach did still did not come meet nor was there any follow up on whether we want to sign up or share thoughts. For me, this program was missing a few key things I expect - safety, inclusion, and real opportunities for growth, confidence, and community. The instructor barely paid attention, the activities felt unstructured, and there was no sense of connection or purpose. So basically it's just a really expensive option to have someone unenthusiastically watch your kid for one hour. The gymnastics side looked more active and organized, so maybe that is their main focus and the ninja program is just an add-on. Either way, I was really disappointed with the Lil ninja program. Also, the facility itself felt kind of dingy. The vending machine was broken and the space did not seem super clean or well kept. Would not recommend Lil ninja based on what I saw.

At first I loved it, we got a Groupon and loved how welcoming the front desk was. I finally felt like I was seen where at another gym I just felt like they could care less if we were there or not which I didn't care for. Platinum made us feel valued and seen. Well, I noticed pretty quickly the constant turnover of coaches, every week my daughters preschool class had a new coach which was discouraging as every week I had to tell my 3yo to not let them hold her hand. My daughter has been walking on a beam for a year without help yet every week with a new coach they would treat her like a baby again. My 5 year old started moving up into the pre team track and it was exciting! I was looking forward to better form, somewhat stricter coaching etc to see her skills really blossom but... honestly it wasn't much different. My daughter would do a terrible cartwheel and they were high giving her and baby taking "great job, wow". Palm to face, this is the pre team track and that flies??? Well they wanted to love her up again, she has been 5 for barely 2 months and wanted her to be on the actual pre team. Practice twice a week which isn't bad but wait for it.... For THREE HOURS on both days, 3:30-6:30. She just turned 5 teal and her skills aren't great, she has potential but she's no Shannon Miller and she's not even close to competing so why am I going to pay $225 a month to burn her out when she's in preschool. To me, here what I see, they are suffering. They need the money, they are pushing these kids up in ranks to fill the spots but these kids are not superstars, not yet at least. They need better coaching, more consistent staff, and higher standards. Final straw was when the owners husband (who is also an owner) and was working at the gym was arrested and being investigated for sex crimes. There was not a peep from them, nothing. To me this is something that should have been addressed, even a simple email stating what was going on and what steps they were taking. Example: As some of you may know, X was recently placed in custody for a crime. We want to assure you X will not be working at the gym during, at minimum, the investigation. We do think the girls were nice, very sweet! But as far as a competitive gymnastics program, keep looking y'all... this isn't the place.

That is customer service 101. The facility is nice and brand new. Should have someone walk thru the girls bathroom midday, everyday, to see if paper towel, soap, and toilet paper needs refilling. The private lessons (1x1) are reasonably priced. I just wish it was better communication when they charge my card on file. I receive an email receipt when they charge my card, and it would be helpful if they had a line or a little space where they could add the reason for the charge.

When we started going several months ago, Coach Victoria (the blonde lady), would work with all of the girls in at least one station, usually stretching and tumbling, working on correct posture or form. This was super beneficial and was helping all of the girls get better. All of the girls, no matter the skill level, did get better after just a few minutes of one on one time. Victoria is a good teacher. They then got additional younger coaches. Victoria would split the class in half and take one group. Her group would always work on different stations each week. I have seen her do all of the stations (floor/tumbling, vault, balance beam, and uneven bars) with whoever she picked for her group. The other girls would get the obviously less experienced coach. For the last 2 months, whichever girls who went with the new coach have only worked on casting and swings on the uneven bars and walking the balance beam. I know this because no matter how the class was divided, my daughter was always with the new coach. She hasn't gotten to do any vaulting and very little tumbling. She even asked me why some girls get to do the other stuff and she doesn't. She's 6 and has noticed the unequal treatment. When the class divisions first started, the groupings were clear. It would be the most experienced in class and the least. The newest girls and the regulars. Then it was mixed random groups. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for weeks until I realized my daughter hadn't been with Victoria for 2 months straight. Not once, no matter how the girls were split. Victoria always hands picks the girls to go with her, so I'm just not sure what is going on. I'm not saying my kid deserves special treatment, but it was becoming obvious, that my daughter and 2 other girls were never in Victoria's group. These 3 were not getting the one on one time with a very experienced coach. We all pay the same amount. Each kid deserves the same instruction across the board. My husband went to one of the classes recently. He usually can't make it due to his work schedule, but was able to come to one. He asked me afterwards why our daughter didn't get to do what all of the other girls were doing. I hadn't even mentioned anything to him, so I knew there was an issue right then. 2. The classes themselves. At the level my daughter is at, classes are usually split up by age groups. The class she was in was for 5-6 year olds. Then they started letting younger kids in, usually younger siblings of girls already enrolled. For a while there was a 3 year old in the class. Now, if the younger child was really good at gymnastics and can keep up with the bigger kids, that's one thing, but when the child is brand new with no experience, it's not good for anyone. The little girl needed help the entire class to do basic skills. It wasn't her fault though since she was 3 and had no experience. She needed to be in a beginner class so she could learn the age appropriate skills. This little girl would monopolize one coach for the whole class because she needed so much help. The other 8 girls had to share one coach then for the class, so it wasn't fair to any kid in the class. It then got to where the little girl would just start crying because she was so frustrated that she couldn't do what the other kids were doing. In her last class, she actually ran to the viewing area in tears to her dad. I heard her say she didn't want to do it anymore because she was so stupid. She wasn't even my kid and my heart was hurting for her. She should had never been made to feel that way. I'm not sure why this happened, but it's just bad practice across the board. 3. There is this one teen girl who just shows up and does random practices in the gym while the main class is going on. She just comes in and goes between all of the stations and works on her things, but in a super random and distracting way. She has even gotten in the way of the actual class that was going on on more than one occasion. She often turns on her floor routine music to a ridiculously loud level during the regular class. 4. It also smells strongly of stinky feet. It sounds silly but when you are there for an hour, some air freshner would be nice. I don't mean to sound whiny or just a major complainer, but I have a bit of experience with gymnastic gyms. My daughter started in baby gymnastics at 9 months old. She's been going continuously for over 5 years. We left our previous gym because it really only focused on age 5 and down and we also moved across town. I gave High Tech a chance but it ended up being very disappointing across the board. Save yourself the headache and go else where if your child is interested in gymnastics.
