Their beginner camps and early-stage programs offer a welcoming environment for that demographic. However, beyond that level, the shortcomings of the organization become apparent. Our family was with CF for four years, and while our first two years were relatively positive, the last two revealed significant concerns about the club's leadership, stability, and priorities. Over time, CF has experienced a noticeable decline. They have struggled to retain coaches, maintain teams, and deliver on the competitive environment they advertise. Two seasons ago, they had multiple teams per age group (two 17s, two 16s, two 15s, and one 14s). That year, one entire team quit mid-season, and in the following season they struggled to field even one team per age group. Half of our daughter's team quit after that season. We recommended she consider another club, but out of loyalty to her friends and coach, she stayed. Unfortunately, CF reassigned her coach to a different age group, leaving our team without a coach until just weeks before the season began. The coaches assigned to us were unprepared--at our first tournament, they delayed the start of a game because they did not know how to submit a lineup. Throughout the year, the coaching lacked consistency. The team used over 30 different lineups, and rather than following the competitive "play-to-win" approach we were promised, players were rotated equally regardless of ability or performance. Communication with the club director, Jason Tootles, was slow. Requests for private training often went unanswered for weeks, and when sessions were offered, they were at inconvenient times (e.g., 5:30 a.m.). In prior years, weekly private sessions with our coach were easy to schedule. When we asked for more diverse training experiences, the response from leadership was dismissive. In our experience, CF prioritizes convenience and cost-efficiency over individualized player development. They promote Christian values publicly but do not consistently uphold those values in practice. Certain families appear to receive preferential treatment, including mid-tournament coaching changes at their request, while others are ignored. From a competitive standpoint, CF rarely places teams in higher divisions or attends large, recognized tournaments. Instead, they often register for smaller, local events to reduce travel and expenses, which limits player exposure and development. Despite promoting their ability to help with college recruiting, during our time there not a single player advanced to college-level volleyball through their program--something competitive clubs routinely achieve. Finally, the leadership's professionalism is questionable. After our final season, my wife replied to a public social media post from a parent asking about club options, simply stating: "We are leaving CF after four years. If you'd like to hear our experience, feel free to DM me." No negative statements were made publicly. Within hours, Mr. Tootles sent my wife a text threatening to publicly disparage her and our daughter if he heard us speak negatively about the club. This was particularly disappointing given that he had ignored a previous message from her asking for clarification about our daughter's treatment. In summary, while Country Fire Volleyball Club may be a decent starting point for young players learning basic skills, it is not the place for athletes seeking a truly competitive, well-structured, and professionally managed environment. In our opinion, their priorities lie in protecting profits and convenience rather than fostering the long-term growth and success of their athletes.

My daughter is currently in Girls 2 and Tumbling 1, so the review is based on that class. Here's the scoop: -The classes are capped in sizes. They are strict about coach to student ratio. I appreciate this because the kids are doing things that they could easily get hurt if not monitored appropriately. It seems to be 8 kids per coach and most of the time it's even smaller. -The coaches are awesome. They all are great with the kids. They are always happy and very helpful to the students. I've seen them spend quality time with each kid to help the child progress on their skills. My daughter has told me how much her coaches care about her. She's 7 and feels great going to class, that says it all right there. -The gym area is huge. There's lots of space for the kids to move around. Lots of equipment so all of the kids in class can work on their stuff with minimal downtime. The equipment all is in good shape and well maintained. -There's a lot of different skill leveled classes. No matter your kid's skill level, they are in a class that's appropriate and one they they have fun and improve in. We have been at other gyms where did not happen, so I like this. -They offer lots of fun extra classes. About once a month they have a "Kid's Night Out" on a Friday from 7-10pm. My daughter thinks it's a party for the kids to go to and loves it. My hubby and I love that we can squeeze in a date night. They also do clinics on different skills to help the kids improve on their skills. I highly recommend this gym for your kids.

After 5 months in class, she hadn't learned anything new, so I taught her how to do a cartwheel in our living room in 15 mins. That's when I knew I had to do better by my daughter. The younger program is GREAT if you just want to wear your child down, but my girl was very disappointed she wasn't learning anything. We love the kids night outs and camps, but as far as actual gymnastics for 4-5 yr olds, meh.

Those details--rehearsal schedules, dates, and location--were never communicated. When we asked for clarification, we were told the studio was still working through the details, which is unacceptable given that families had already paid. To make matters worse, the studio attempted to attribute the confusion to my child rather than taking accountability for their lack of communication. It also became clear that the studio prioritizes its competition team, while other students receive significantly less organization and preparation--despite paying for recital participation and costumes. We expected a much higher level of professionalism and transparency.

It is hard to express how disappointed we were with this experience. I emailed at least five times with concerns and never got a response. The production itself was also really disappointing, and I felt it made my child hesitant to be involved in productions moving forward. They preformed scenes they NEVER rehearsed. What should have been a 50 min show was 1.5 hours, largely because the teacher was feeding them all their lines. My child has been in four different productions, some for much younger kids. This production was by far the least developed and "roughest" to get through. These concerns seem to be tied to larger business issues. Although I know some folks who have had god experience with the dance side of things, the theater program is underserved and it was incredibly frustrating.
