The doctor's here , Benshar, Schwartzwald are very compassionate and caring. The first time that I visited Dr. Benshar, I was so pleased with his service, I had to ask him to be my primary care doctor. I was in need of one because my doctor retired. Dr. Benshar is so thorough. I was referred to Dr. Schwartzwald and this was like the greatest gift ever given unto me. He practically wooed me. Dr. Schwartzwald never cease to amaze me ever time he speak. He has a wealth of information that he gives to his patients and he is so reassuring leaving no stones unturned. He's answering questions before you ask! The office staff are wonderful and prompt. The call the next person in line and they verify all of your information and make sure that you have a copay or no copay. They give you pleasant interaction at all times. read more

This office 3003 new hyde park internal medicine is the worst . The wait times are minimum in person 1.5 hours. The wait to talk to someone on the phone is minimum 1 hour . The front desk is deplorable . It's sad that horrible staff is allowed to work at northwell and represent these physicians . The front desk is deplorable . They don't belong in healthcare. They are rude and disrespectful . They have no empathy which is needed for individuals who work In healthcare . They disregard the value of a human life. Women in the front desk have attitudes and hang up on patients regularly after waiting for one hr on the phone. Terrible doctor and office experience! Waited four hours in Dr. Evan Schwarzwald's office, only to learn he gave the lab the wrong script; which meant I waited for nothing! And the lady who took my vitals offered no hello or goodbye, only mentioned my blood pressure... She treated me like a piece of meat. I did not have heart palpitations before coming to see this cardiologist, but I left with them! You are fired Dr. Schwartzwald! First off I torn between two reviews. Because on one hand Doc Schwarzwald & staff really good individually & when working efficiently. The trouble is that point RARELY is ever around when I am - My shortest trip to see the Doctor was just shy of the 2 hour mark - the longest being 41/2 hours in which I spend at best a total of 15 minutes w/ Doc himself They don't just overbook the doctors in this office they legitimately create the atmosphere of Dante's Inferno itself walking in through the double glass doors ought to have sign above them stating -"Abandon hope all ye who enter here" read more

Appproximately one year ago, I was at my internist getting a check-up. I wasn't feeling well. He found that my heartbeat was very slow, and sent me the following day (emergency visit) to Dr. Schwarzwald (a cardiologist). Dr. Schwarzwald ordered three tests. I was never called back about the results of the tests, or a follow up appointment. I called multiple times and spoke to a secretary. She did not have the results and conjectered that all was well. I called my internist to see if he could get the results. He got the results and promptly called me back. Since this was an emergency visit, one would think that the doctor would have shown some compassion for my situation. It turned out that I had an arrythmia. One would think that any reputable cardiologist would promptly contact me to give me the results and tell me how to proceed. I am still waiting for that call. read more

It is ridiculous to wait 2.5 hours for am annual appointment! Last year we waited 2 hours. Avoid this place unless you like to wait. I even called in advance to check on the delays and was told 30 minutes. I am sitting in the waiting room now almost 2.5 hours. read more

I brought my son to Dr.Schwarzwald a few weeks ago when a "Doc in the box" told me he had a heart issue. I found the experience at his office to be stellar. He was warm caring and concerned. The wait time in this office is the worst I've ever experienced. A minimum wait of 2 hours with no apologies.

The front desk secretary who greets you and takes your information completely screwed me and my husband over in terms of billing. I asked her a question regarding the billing to make sure my insurance would cover what I was being billed for (a general check-up) and she assured me that it would not be a problem. I told her I had heard this could be a problem and she laughed it off and said it has never been an issue before. Now, I receive a bill saying that my insurance is not covering the routine check-up and they charge $350 each for a checkup. Let me also add that the check up was 5 minutes in length after waiting for an hour to be seen. Highly disappointed in the moronic, uninformed staff who gives misinformation. read more

I found Dr Schwarzwald to be out of control, rude & extremely inappropriate with his patients & staff. He was a bully & very careless with his patients medications, etc. he also announced how he would love to leave medicine if he could. read more

My family and myself have been with Dr. Schwarzwald for over 10 years , he has consistently provided a great level of care, despite the insurance company hassles that a placed in his way. I like him and can recommended him highly without reservation. The office is clean and modern but very busy during certain hours, be prepared . I guess thats as good thing. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Schwarzwald for 15 years. He is compassioante, takes his time and really gets to know you and help you. An old fashioned doctor who loves what he does, always available and goes out of his way to research your problems and find latest treatments. I hated his old office because always had trouble parking and staff was rude but always thought he was a great doctor so I stayed with him. The office he is in now has better parking and nicer people working there. Highly recommend. read more

The wait time in this office is absolutely unacceptable. I was referred to this office by my primary care physician. On my first visit, after I arrived, and completed all of the paper work, I was told the doctor was running 1.5 hours behind. I immediately rescheduled asking if he always ran behind. I was advised to take the first appointment on a day when he started at 1pm. On my rescheduled visit, I arrived, and asked if the doctor was was running behind. The receptionist who looked and acted like she could not be bothered with you, said No he is just starting. I sat for 48 minutes without being called, when I inquired at the desk when I would be called in, I was advised that the doctor was not even in the office yet. This offie is poorly run, rude and clearly does not give a darn about their patients. I left again, and will never go back. Clearly not interested in quality of care of your time. read more
