We went on Friday night. Our party was large (9 people). It was a little chilly outside, so we waited for some indoor space to clear. If they had outdoor heating lamps, we would've used the outside tables. Overall, the food was great! The ribs were cooked perfectly, and the slaw was my favorite side. My girls order chicken wings but thought the hot was a little too hot. They enjoyed the banana pudding. Service was great, and multiple staff checked on our party the entire night. There's ALWAYS a line up the street around dinner time and there's a good reason. This is a local favorite! The food is excellent and at a really good price. The portions are hearty and the food has a lot of flavor. The service is always great. The best time to visit is in warmer weather. While Evan's has a small but adequate inside dining area, the outside area is perfect in nice weather. There are plenty of picnic tables outside with large umbrellas. The look of the restaurant area is so cute and eclectic from the outside. It invites families to come and enjoy good food together. They have several little buildings as the place has grown over the years and parking can look a little confusing. Park to the right of all the buildings. We travel between Atlanta and Alabama on a regular basis and this is our favorite stopping off point. The friendly service and the eclectic atmosphere are only exceeded by the food quality! The Courtyard tables were very pleasant. The fried green tomatoes were brought to the table hot from the kitchen and were excellent. Our waitress was congenial and very fast and competent. The special was a big disappointment however. It was chopped meat formed with bacon around it and needed a lot of sauce to have much flavor. The ranch potatoes were also a disappointment. The cole slaw was very tasty. I will go again but only for the fried green tomatoes and to try the eggrolls. I loved the fresh potted violas on the table. I'm going back to try maybe their traditional barbecue sandwich and fries and some more those great fried tomatoes. The outdoor atmosphere is very nice but the inside tables are in a cramped and dark area. I recommend only going on days that are warm enough to sit in the very nice outdoor area. read more

Visited this for the 2nd time this week. I always pass by and the lines is always long but my younger brother convinced me to try it. My first time eating here was the hot smoked wings and WOW they were amazing! The second time I had wings again and added the fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were good but needs a little bit more seasoning. The customer service was great from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. Two takeaways- it's not the best option to have employees eating openly where food is being prepared and also for them not to be playing in there hair as a server.
