And the guy( I think his name was Emmanuel) told us that only the worship band could go in. which is my tia, dad and tio. and they wouldn't let them in either then we rented out the chapel for 2 hours and they tried to kick us out 30 minutes early! then when it was actaully time to leave they straight away said give us the money and leave! they made it a horrible way to say our final goodbyes. especially for my cousins( the kids of my tia who passed away). Riverside National Cemetery is a peaceful and restful placed for loved ones. Was here for the…read moresecond time this year, with a recent visit to pay respect to a loved community member who passed away from cancer. The service was very moving, with a three-volley salute, which is a military honor for those who served. There was also a covered space so guests did not have to stand under the sun. This is a very big cemetery, but once you drive up to the entrance kiosk, you can ask to find a burial space. The grounds are very open and small roads in between to drive through. Parking can be very limited during national holidays and large funeral events. There was almost no parking during Memorial Day when visited earlier this year. And you can't really park outside the cemetery because it's just a large road, with multi-lane traffic. So for non-event days, parking will be easy, but for major events, this is a very busy place.

At the gravesite before the service it was announced that we are to promptly leave after the service so that the employees don't have to stay longer, then after the service while family was taking pictures the funeral director announced "You don't have to go home but you can't stay here." The shared head stone was pulled up and thoughtlessly thrown to the side. Very classless service and lack of empathy for those mourning. If you can go someplace else to someone who hasn't sold out to a heartless corporation.

My Niece is laid to rest in their mausoleum and when my family was making her arraignments they…read morewere misled on the space they bought. They were told since she is the bottom space we can decorate and there is even a plug so we can put lights around her crypt. We found out a month later that nothing is allowed around her crypt. You would think that they would talk to my Nephew (her husband) who visits every day but no. He stopped by last week and everything was gone. Thank goodness they had everything in the office for him to pick up. So ok, we do not put anything on the floor but put a temporary lettered sign on the crypt with a command strip holder which does not damage the granite and he stopped by today and that was gone now too. BUT they do not pick up any flowers or beer cans or other decorations. I do not understand. We just wanted something to show this was my Niece's crypt since it is going to take 6 months for them to get her a plaque for her crypt. Also, our lettered sign was small and tasteful if they even mark your crypt it's with a tacky computer-printed sign.
