This mortuary handled the preparation and services for our Grandmother. They did a good job and left her looking as natural as she did in life. This gave our family a lot of peace. They were very accommodating and respectful to our memorial service. The staff was nice and made sure we all got to say goodbye before closing the casket. Where to begin, from no communication to posting our family pictures online to posting an obituary without our knowledge or approval. Then having to contact the manager several times to get things moving. No communication when our loved one was getting picked up from the hospital to being told she would be ready for the viewing when she was already cremated to going to the day of the service to being pulled from my seat moments before the service started to sign paperwork and having missed to beginning of the service to having the DVD skip several times during the service for Josephine to say wow I didn't notice that. Was then told we would receive a flash drive of the pictures we are now 2+months and have not received said flash drive after emailing Josephine several times asking for it. To never being told we need to have a phase for the fingerprint necklace until the day we picked up the ashes which was a day before the service to find out it take 4-5weeks to come in. We are now at the 5 week mark with once again no communication. So your question would I recommend miller jones absolutely not, not ever to my worse enemy. read more

I was as happy as I could be at a funeral because of the amazing staff and facility of Miller-Jones mortuary in Hemet. Friendly, helpful and professional best describe the staff there. Olga Magallanes directly assisted me with my father's arrangements when he passed away last month. She made the process so easy and it went so smooth. Bob and the other women there helped make it a stress free experience as well. The mortuary chapel, lobby, parking and meeting rooms were all above expectations. The large TVs are great for photo slide shows and the sound system was good. The only thing I'd recommend would be Bluetooth options or APPs as another option to play music. I love the atrium in the lobby with the quails, pheasants and other birds. It is so peaceful and tranquil. It is a great touch that had a huge impact on my first impression. I would definitely choose them again if I had to do it over. read more

Death is not fun. I know it is kind of morbid to be Yelping about funeral home, but these folks definitely made the whole process of putting my Grandmother to rest a whole lot easier. The entire staff was kind, compassionate and very helpful. We held Grandma's memorial service in the sanctuary, and Miller-jones went above and beyond to make it was special and everything we wanted. They took the time to find out what her interests were and had a special little table set up in her honor. I had to laugh, because she loved poker & gambling so they set up a little Vegas like casino vigil. It was very sweet, and an extra touch that made me smile. I'd never been to a mortuary or funeral until my grandma died. I actually didn't know Miller-Jones existed until my grandma died. Mr. Hamilton Jones was really helpful and understanding throughout the whole process. There were 10 of us all crowded into one little room, discussing what we wanted for my grandma and what she'd already arranged for. Mexican tradition dictates that the deceased by buried within three days of their death. My grandma passed on 30 March, the services were on 3 April at Miller-Jones, and her burial was on the following day at Riverside National Cemetery. Mr. Jones had said that he would have liked more time to have everything perfect, but my three uncles and mom were insistent that their mother be buried as soon as possible. Mr. Jones understood and everything turned perfect, even though the funeral home only had a few days of preparation. Thank you. read more

I will never do Business with this Funeral home again. Bernice Montoya is a problem and shouldnt be working in the funeral Business. She moves at a snails pace and because she takes her sweet time getting back to you it causes your bill to go up. Everyday she is out of office and doesn't answer your call, it costs you more money. I called the deceased Dr's office to have the death certificate expedited. All Bernice had to do was fax over the paperwork. Instead she was out of the office for 3 + days and came back and felt no need to rush. I asked Bernice if I can style the deceased hair. She said no without even taking a beat to understand my question. I am a celebrity hair Stylist and that is what I do. Lastly the makeup artist does NOT know black skin and made the deceased 4 shades darker out of pure inexperience. read more

I'm still so heartbroken to have lost my beautiful father last month but I was so content and happy with this mortuary. My daddy looked like himself at his services, they did such an awesome job with everything pertaining to my father and that helps a bit when you're so emotional and saddened by your loss. My husband and I made arrangements over seven years ago, he just went to be with the Lord this April. The Mortuary took care of everything like I had just made arrangements that day. Hospice made one call to them and they were there within the hour To receive my loved one. From then on to the day of burial, they called me and took care of everything. A few weeks ago I called for information about an upcoming service, and rather than being immediately put on hold like other places, the receptionist was friendly, helpful and professional. I work for a florist in Escondido and had questions about my customer transporting the flower arrangements to the service, as well as any restrictions they may have in the chapel. I was transferred to a director who listened to my customer's dilemma and said he would look into it. Literally 15 minutes later, he called me back with a follow up!! It seems like a blur now but Olga Magallanes's guidance helped us through the process. I recall how she would check in to remind us of what we needed to do and when to have a decision. She patiently kept us on track to make decisions that we painfully had to face and lovingly had to make. There is something about Olga that was so comforting and familiar. She is definitely a very patient person. I live out of town and regretfully never met the staff but everyone I spoke to was very professional and kind. Olga calls periodically to check in to see how we are. It is always a comfort to hear her voice. I don't know what we would have done without Olga and the wonderful staff. There were flowers ordered that were not present, but most of all the follow up is awful. After the service, I was wanting to print out the obituary and I email Ms. Reeder, left messages with Miller Jones and was given no response. Finally, I was able to get in contact and was told I would receive help me, but am still waiting. Just know, they are willing until they get your money then they are MIA. read more

What I can say is that the people at Miller-Jones made what is inevitably a difficult time, as stress-free as possible. My mother passed away a few days ago. It was recommended by the PD to have her picked up by Miller Jones. We as a family decided to have sent somewhere else. I received 6 phone calls the SAME day as her death. An employee by the name of FABIAN called saying that the company would MATCH the price of the other mortuary as well as their facility is more "beautiful" then the other. The same day, I get phone calls from them wanting to be compensated for their service. REALLY? My mother just passed away; show some compassion. Paying someone is the last thing on my mind. The next day, Hamilton called asking the same thing. When her remains were picked up; Miller Jones was quite rude because the funds weren't brought. I told them to bill me. Yes, I understand this is a business, but don't hound me over something over and over. SO, please RUN away from this business. I am going to make a complaint to the state of CA that is under mortuaries and crematories. read more

I want to say that they were very nice to do business with at such a sad and emotion time in your life. I did not look ahead of time for a Mortuary & Crematory and took the recommendation from the place my father passed away at. Later on I find other companies that do it for half or 1/3 the price as Miller-Jones. I had two loved ones in my life pass away 3 months apart, so did my homework the second time and the second company was even more professional and at a much less cost. Please do your homework. I used The Best Cremation Company and cost was only $711.00, compared to $1784.00 at Miller-Jones. I know that this is a very hard time for anyone when going through it, so shop around. They are all there for you when needed, any time of the day. read more
