Jana Evans needs to be disbarred. Not only does she completely lack professionalism, loosing all contacts twice while I employed her when she changed assistants, but she lacks entirely any ability to litigate in the court room, bowing down to the demands of the opposing side once you walk through the doors. She had one thing that she said she would handle before our hearing, and that was to subpeona my exs previous employer, all other foot work was placed on me, and I exceeded expectations, while she just forgot her one task I guesd because she didnt do it. She seemed to choke, just holding my hand and saying "I can't imagine what you are going through right now", while my entire life walked away from me in a instant, because my lawyer forgot she was a lawyer and thought she was a therapist. The only thing she did was speek up once in mediation to say we wouldn't pay half the dental work, and it seems this all didnt matter because she was able to lose my contact info, and although I sent the info to her new assistant, I didnt hear from her again until 2 yrs later when she filed a removal, and then signed for the final custody papers with hearing date, received her removal and never gave me any notice that I had a hearing that she signed for. This allowed my ex to get a default judgement that was completely falsely comprised with fraudulently recorded incomes and arrearages causing me to lose my house and my job when they went into affect. My ex owed 26k inarrears, hadnt paid for a year when he took my kids, was NEVER involved in their education, had lied repeatedly in COURT, had quit his job a year before court, moved repeatedly and had no suitable living arrangements nor the income to afford to "off-set his arrears" by me not paying for 2 years. He left ME 8 years prior when he got his new wife pregnant while "serving" in Iraq, yet they trash-talked me continuously and brain-washed my daughters against me. This should have all gone away in court, and I believe aby decent atty could have had this straightened out when they were kidnapped. Acquired her services for mediation. She did not prepare for my case. She wouldn't even call me back the week before the mediation to discuss our plan (which was actually no plan on her part). Never once mentioned that I could impute income to a non-working ex. Never once read my decree where it said medical bills must be submitted in 30 days. All crap I found out later. You would expect your lawyer to bring that up. But, she is good at cashing your checks though. read more
