Unfortunately, zero stars is not an option. Never, ever, EVER hire Darrin. I am actually considering a malpractice lawsuit against Darrin. He was responsive at the very beginning. That lasted all of 3 days after he received the initial retainer. Thereafter, it took weeks and multiple e-mails to get a response out of him for serious issues; the responses still did not contain answers. Starting from the beginning - Darrin encouraged me to enter into a temporary order that 8 months later is still hanging over my head. He encouraged me to agree to a preposterous spousal support number without any sort of CYA's. There was nothing in there to protect my credit or financial well-being. He encouraged me to enter into an agreement I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy under the premise that the final hearing was just around the corner. He forgot to mention how easy it was for the opposing party to cancel a final hearing. How bad was it? Bad enough for me and good enough for the opposing party that 8 months later, I'm still stuck with this agreement. That's right people -Darrin got me to agree to something SO good for the opposing party, that they have been pushing the final hearing back for 8 months. It gets better - opposing counsel took 2 months to provide a draft of the temporary order. When it finally came in, it was forwarded to me. There was plenty in there that was not agreed to, so I provided my comments to Darrin. He took them and sent them to opposing counsel, adding absolutely nothing of his own. Apparently, he never reviewed the revised version before it was filed because pretty much everything that I identified that didn't belong there remained. So now, thanks to Darrin and his incompetence, there is an insanely debilitating temporary order that has been in place for 8 months that has things in it I never even agreed to. Back to being unresponsive - Darrin and his horrendous, incompetent staff would literally take 2 weeks and longer to respond about issues. I had to file a contempt charge on my own because it was clear I would never get guidance from him regarding the opposing party not following the order. There was one thing they were VERY quick to correspond about - billing and payment. Anytime my retainer was even close to running low, I would receive multiple e-mails per week about payment while my e-mails about serious issues in the divorce went unanswered. If this is what you seek in your attorney during the toughest time of your life, Darrin is the guy for you! read more

From the time I hired Allen Turner until settlement, things were so much easier than when I was trying to handle the insurance company on my own. Being hurt at work is no fun and when you realize you can't go back to the same job its scary. Allen and his team were compassionate and fought for me. They did not go for the quick cheap settlement but made sure I got the care I needed to lead my life and then settled the case. I highly recommend. read more

This firm cost me more than I ever thought possible. Darrin Keaton. I don't know where to begin, but I retained this man when a default judgement was placed against me that was fraudulent and he reviewed my case without compassion for my situation which caused a bit of tension but i was always told mean attorneys get the job done, and he seemed to believe he was capable. He wanted 2500 we said it would be a couple of weeks but with a deadline, he called allen in to approve starting the case without the retainer on the basis of being former clients. I didnt know all allen had done was my bfs wills. Darren made sure to lay the guilt on us first about how they had other paid clients that would have to wait so he could get my case started and said they wouldnt have the fancy cars if they ran their business this way. He boasted as 5th in the state in custody attorneys although it must have meant 5th worst or something. A month later my wages were cut in half. I would no longer have enough to even pay my mortgage. I had a daughter still at home to support. My life started flashing before my eyes. I called the firm and this was the only time I would ever speak to Darren on the phone. I was understandably upset, after all, he had a deadline and THAT was past, so why was this happening. He said i had to wait for my day in court and then we would ask for anything they took back. I was shaking, i didnt have extra money lying around like he did to afford me to wait around, I told him to go emergency stop this, just like they started it. How can anyone that wants to just garnish your wages by lying and destroy your life and it cant be stopped? I lost all sense of security in our government. He was rude like I was over reacting and even threatened to quit, which would have meant I would have lost more time. I called the next day to appologize, did not get Darren, the receptionist assured me he was used to tensions running high and clients getting emotional, of course, dealing with custody battles. I emailed allen explaining and apologising and he didnt respond timely but said all waw well when he did. Months past, i called persistantly,"why was noone calling me? What was going on? " went by the office and talked to britani who showed actual concern, and said to contact her from now on. She never returned calls either. Daniel was able to call one time returning my call and said we had a hearing but would have to postpone due to darrens paternity leave. After that I could never get a return call, Darren had extended his leave because his baby was sick. Yes he would stoop that low. Claim a sick baby. They all corroberated his story. A year after we retained him, he had Allen call us in the tell us Darren and the whole firm was done with me. He had britani write a date on an orange post it note for the hearing he had rescheduled as a courtesy. He used an analogy about a chef and your dinner to relate to my childrens lives. Not really a relatable analogy there allen. He patted himself on the back for the kindness he exihibited in advising us for free as a parting gift. He mentioned his sister had ended us just being a noncustodial parent. If i had known that? That he couldnt save his sister from loosing her kids, and that is his sister, i never would have hired them. Meanwhile, back at the....wait there is no ranch, it was forclosed on while waiting for "my day in court". So i found myself in court for contempt. I had managed to survive barely, as I lost my job when i missed a few hoops trying to save it while I was on leave for stress. Come to find out, no new hearing date, no sick baby: his leave was just a week.. He filed his removal a year after firing me, on the day of the hearing i had rescheduled.. By myself pro se, i lost. I never got notice my old atty did and my kids went to the wolves, on a techicality. Thanks to darren, i lost my home and job and they want to put me in child support jail because he never did what i hired him to do, he had 14 days as a matter of right to get it thrown out.. He strung me along and i am sure he laughs about it from time to time. He plays games with peoples lives. read more

I am the first to recommend a business or professional when they have given great service. However, I also feel it's only fair to let others know when I've not had a good experience....which, unfortunately, is the case with this law office. I attempted to contact Mr Keaton after being referred to him by a friend of mine. I left a message the first time I called and was called back a couple of days later by his paralegal. She was going to set up a phone consult for 2 days later, but when I expressed that I hoped to speak with him sooner, she said she could schedule for that afternoon. I did not receive a call for him that day. Two days later, I got a call from another woman in the office who apologized that Mr. Keaton had not called but said he would call me the following day. When I didn't get a call back from him several days later, I called and left yet another message. That was over two weeks ago and I never received a call back from him or anyone in his office. I guess business is good and he doesn't need any more. Definitely would not recommend anyone wasting their time with this office! read more

I have never given a negative review but I am more than disappointed with this law firm after hiring them for counsel with my divorce. I just wish I had read reviews beforehand. All I will say is... you will be promised all these wonderful things but will receive nothing. I got more help and information about my case from the opposing party.. Terrible lawyer. Awful follow up. Make that no follow up! After the case was handled, and suit settled, mr turner never filed the dismissal documents with court house. This has caused not only frustration but extra time and money with other lawyers. Don't use this guy! read more
