When I asked them to put my lights back on like they were before , the supervisor just argued with me and ignored my emails. Very unprofessional to even try to resolve this. I would never recommend this business to anyone as they do not stand by their work- even though he told me that they would.

We wanted an industrial look but we were worried about cost and just how I could accomplish this task. It wasn't until I drove past a work site and saw Mr. Payne installing this extremely long curved metal railing which looked custom. I felt bad disturbing them on the site, however even though they were in the middle of the project, he and his staff dropped what they were doing to grab me a business card. I emailed Mr. Payne that afternoon and had an almost instant response. I was able to explain to Mr. Payne my project and what I was trying to accomplish. Mr. Payne came to my house, took measurements and gave my wife and I a quote that we were happy with. I knew based on what I saw on the jobsite they were at; Mr. Payne was going to knock it out of the park. Knock it out of the park he did. Instead of making the railing in sections, he was able to make the entire railing one piece and we brought it through our double sliding door on the second floor. We wanted industrial and that's exactly what he gave us. The rail was polished right up to the welds and burn marks leaving that industrial look. We wanted raw, and he gave us raw but with a classy smooth polished look and feel. It was a great combination, it was perfect. To add to it all Mr. Payne crafted a partial handrailing to match for the lower portion of the 90-degree stair down below and the cherry was the small railing shaped like a triangle matching the rail spacing above for a small open section of the stair case nearest the ceiling and pillar. To finish it all off, Mr. Payne trimmed out the floor opening with 1" angle iron so I wouldn't have to use the matching stair nose floor trim. My wife and I were extremely happy and I couldn't wait to show family and my co-workers what an amazing job he did and how exciting it was to have such a piece of art in the home. It really is another stunning focal point within the home. I think a staircase can make or break it on looks and his finished product added that extra sparkle to our home. And......we don't have to worry about our children, as this railing is SECURED. Mr. Payne's craftsmanship is top notch. His attention to detail was spot on, and his measurements are perfect. His responses are punctual and he is very attentive to the customers' needs and wants. He includes you in the planning process and really gets the creative juices flowing making the entire experience enjoyable. I wish every contractor had Mr. Payne's dedication to customer service. We loved Superior Metal Fabrications so much, they have earned our business and we want to hire them for the other 3-4 projects we have to complete this year! Usually when I think of security gate, I think for whatever reason something sort of prison style, in other words not terribly attractive. Such is not the case with our security gate. It is extremely well built and attractive and has added definition AND security to our building. Let's talk customer service. From their customer service rep, Gale, who I think runs the office, takes orders, does project management, and generally runs interference to the very nice gentleman who installed the gate, I never sensed anything but total commitment to our project, and in fact they acted like we were their only customer. A couple of our residents complained that the gate made clashing noises that disrupted their sleep. I called Gale and she had their installation serviceman out the same day. It was so hot that day that if you moved, you started sweating. I'm sorry I can't remember his name, but the serviceman stood out in the blinding heat and worked straight for two hours without complaint until the gate no longer clashed or made much of any noise at all. His dedication saved the sanity of many during the hot summer. After much debate, I needed to have the foundation that had been poured removed and fill in the hole. I was really struggling to find anyone to even bid the project, let alone take the job. Rob, the owner, showed up, bid the job to my new GC, was forthcoming about when he could start and what the costs would be. He was no nonsense, good for his word. Showed up with his crew and equipment the day he said he was going to, and every day till the job was done. He came across many issues with what the previous contractor had done, but he also came to me with solutions and the means to fix them. You have to love a guy who brings you answers to the problems you didn't even know you had! It was one of those, "this couldn't have gone any smoother" transactions. His crew was very careful with their equipment and made sure not to damage any of the surrounding areas, i.e. sidewalks, trees, fences, the neighbors cars. I'm pretty sure that man could tie a shoelace with that excavator thing he was using. Rob did everything he said he was going to do and even more. He went above and beyond. It's very rare, and hard to find honorable, no nonsense guys like that these days. This is an amazing team. A well run business, and just an all around great company to work with. I couldn't be happier. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the "after" photos show where Rob actually had some rich soil brought in and planted grass seed in it for me!! I don't know who recommended Alpha, but I sure wish that they hadn't. The installer came out, saying there was only one place the system could go, which was outside a bedroom. He installed without hooking up the electrical, which has said he wasn't qualified to do. That meant that we had to engage an electrician, the charge falling to us, something that the sales offer didn't cover, an unexpected extra expense. When the system was switched on, the noise was excessive. Not just noise, but the vibration in the house. It was kind of like trying to sleep in the same room with a really bad 1970s refrigerator about to die. The only person from Alpha who came back to check on the system was the radon level test person, who said that he knew nothing about dealing with noise issue. I spoke with Arial on the phone, whose only response was: the fan is the quietest in the industry and, the system was installed in the only place possible on the house. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he said he would look into it and call back. He never did. Doing my own online exploration, I found that possibilities include a defective fan motor, changing where the system was strapped to the house, adding padding between the strapping and the house, and/or adding sound dampening inside the system. None of these options were even suggested by Alpha. Service after the sale from Alpha was abysmal. I feel like they took the money and ran.

Mike came out promptly, gave a bid ~$400 lower than others, and just completed the work. He was accessible/communicative by text throughout and showed up when he said he would. Now our radon meter is saying we're averaging 0.3-1.0, even on these rainy winter days. The radon fan is not loud, though the whole setup is kind of an eyesore. Thankfully it's in a closet and can be hidden. I hope I don't have more radon issues and therefore don't have to work with Mike again, but I wouldn't hesitant to contact him if I need to.
