I figured it was stress and anxiety from being in a new environment. However, that was not the case. by Sunday he could not keep his balance and would just lay in his bed. I knew something was not right. Monday morning i called VCA and told them the issue. I had an appointment with them that Monday in the afternoon but wanted to get my little guy in asap I was scared and worried about him. VCA took him back and advised me that he was sick and needed to stay with them. I then got a call that same after noon and was told he did not make it. VCA was so wonderful and said that he should have been sent over to be looked at before they sent him home with me. So please please when you adopt a puppy or kitten from this place make sure you get them checked before you take them home. I am heartbroken that I lost my little guy. thank you so much love at first sight for making me an emotional reck and making my first experience with you a disaster.

What a great organization MACC is!…read more I recently participated in a volunteer day and they really do everything they can to help the sweet animals. The staff are so great and keep all the kennels as clean as possible. Each of the dogs get out twice a day for walks or yard time, but the more volunteers they get the better care the animals get. If you ever have an extra hour in your day, swing by and walk a pup. They will be so appreciative!

But when I finally got inside to drop off a stray cat I found, they told me they had no space and I'd need to make an appointment. That's something they easily could've told me when I asked at the door where to drop the cat off. Instead, they let me waste my time waiting around for nothing. The whole process felt disorganized and inconsiderate, especially when I was just trying to help an animal in need.

I was given all the information I needed to comply with their very efficient process. It was my first visit to this facility. I have know it for years but was under a certain idea that it was just for low income individuals or feral animals. I had an opportunity to see my sweet friend and the director of the facility and she informed me that that is a common misconception. She said they take all folks and most animals. There are a few dog type they don't spay or neuter. They did an exceptionally wonderful job with my asshole cat. She would not wear the cone or a sleeve over the surgery. So, I just had to watch her and she did great. The wound healed great. She is still an asshole but a smidge calmer. I actually was not charged anything due to the fact that I am on Medicare, so it was a great value to me. My plan is to donate to them through their wish list/amazon. Out of the many cats (5+) that I have owned over the last 25 years, I have never had a cat who would not allow a vet to assess them so I was not used to the idea of sedating them. When I realized this was needed after going to a couple of different vets, I relinquished so that my fur baby could get the care she needed. The Nashville Cat Cllinic has a vet and techs that are experts in their profession for many years and are the best ever. They handled my cat seamlessly so my cat was not distressed at all. I also learned that my cat was being underdosed and not medicated properly to diminish her anxiety and stress when traveling. I was also taught how to really work on her eating and weight. And after 8 years of having my cat, there was not one vet clinic that told me she was microchipped! (I was given the cat from my neighbor and the cat never goes outdoors.) This is truly the place to bring your feline. With the attention, care and love we have for our cats as owners, why not take them to a place designed just for them. Make your appointment today! Unfortunately, he has a 35 minute commute which meant he would be gone for 10 hours a day. We didn't want to board them since he'd be there overnight but don't have anyone we felt we could impose on to walk the boys. Enter Google.... which lead me to Critter Care's website. I called Kimberly and explained the situation. We made an appointment for the next morning. As soon as we met I felt comfortable with her being in our home and taking care of our dogs. We've never had a pet sitter before and I wasn't sure how I'd feel allowing someone to come in our home without us being there. She put my mind at ease and was very attentive and overall has a calming nature. The dogs liked her right away, which I took as a really great sign! Since we have pugs, we didn't necessarily need them walked. What they really need during the day is a potty break and loads of attention. I could tell this wouldn't be a problem with Kimberly as she'd owned a pug in the past and knows their dispositions. We initially elected to have her come once a day, though she typically will come by twice. Once we realized how long the dogs would be alone, I called her to see if it would be possible to change plans. She was very flexible and accommodating despite the fact we changed times on her a few times! She's quick to respond to phone calls or texts if you don't get her on the first try. We are just so thankful to have found Critter Care and were pleasantly surprised at our last minute arrangements. If you live in the area, there's no other choice you should be considering. Her prices are very reasonable and it's so nice to be able to have your pets cared for at home where they are comfortable. Kimberly is the greatest and we will definitely be using her again.

Overall Kimberly treated our animals well. If you hire her to come twice a day, she will come early…read morein the morning and then again in the early afternoon. The dogs were fed and exercised in the back yard for probably 20-30min. We did have one experience when one of the pups pooped in the house (which is not normal), but then again they are used to going out 5 or 6 times every day. As far as how she treated us as customers, that could have been better. She sends text messages letting you know that the dogs have been out, which is nice, but if you do not text her back she has a bit of a come apart. She also requires that you let her know when you've made it home. I thought that was a little weird, but I could understand that she was looking out for the dogs best interest. In my experience she will come out on short notice, but she let me know it was inconvenient and that I "should do a better job of giving her notice."... okay, point taken... I also noticed when I got home that our furniture would be moved ever so slightly. Like the recliner or the rug would just be pulled away from where it was 1 or 2 feet from where we had it. I thought that was a bit weird too, but the dogs were okay so it wasn't a huge deal. We finally had an instance a couple of weeks ago where my wife and I were off to North Carolina to get married. This time we brought the dogs with us, but I have a couple sugar gliders that needed some attention while we were gone. I called her on the way to North Carolina just to go over the instructions I left her. While on the phone with her I realized that I had forgotten to leave her a check. I asked her if I could drop her check off in her mailbox on our way home in a few days. She agreed with not issue. On the day we came back from our wedding, she began blowing up my phone demanding that we bring her check to her as soon as we got home. She sent condescending texts explaining that we "should have known better", asking repeatedly when we would be home. I wish I saved the texts she sent, they were unprofessional and a little crazy. Those texts came as a shock to me because we had used her services probably 5 or 6 times in a 8 week period. We paid every time. We were not knew customers, yet she treated us like we were her misbehaved children all over a $51 check... By the way we did pay her as soon as we got home, exactly as we said we would. I wish she would have just said "no" when I told her that we forgot the check, because we could have easily just gotten a friend to take care of it. Over all, if you need Kimberly's service on short notice, I would give her a call. If you need someone long term, keep searching!
