My friend and I took a little journey from Winnipeg to have supper here and it was definitely worth the trip!
It turns out we arrived just at closing time (7pm), but Eva insisted on serving us and having us dine in rather than taking our food to-go. The pizza we ordered was wonderful and I would welcome a trip back there again to try other things from the menu. We were the last ones in the restaurant and Eva was so nice, to the point that she sat chatting with us into the evening, as if we were old friends who had paid her a visit. What an incredibly friendly and interesting woman she is! On the way home we talked about what an enjoyable evening it had been and how glad we were to have gone. "Wow, can you believe THAT?" was actually spoken by my friend, referring to Eva's incredible hospitality and easy conversation. We consider ourselves lucky to have arrived just in the nick of time before the door was locked, and went away feeling like we'd made a new friend.
It's a bit of a drive if you're from Winnipeg, but if you feel up to a little road trip I would highly recommend heading out to Vita and stopping in at Eva's. My friend and I will definitely make a point of going back. read more
