I had wished that I wiped the makeup off and went natural instead, since it didn't highlight my features but actually made them worse. I told Nadezhda my concerns and she took the extra mile to photoshop out the eyeshadow so that it would look better. FAVORITE PARTS ABOUT WORKING WITH HER: - She's so kind and punctual. She met me on time, and listened to my concerns. - She was fast at returning the photos and making sure that I loved them before finalizing - She knows the great photo spots. She really does have an amazing eye for photography. - She worked with me on a spot we chose and did research beforehand so we would shoot in the best places. PARKING: TBD depending on spot you choose but she keeps this in mind. SERVICE: A+, I'd recommend her over and over again. She did my brother-in-law's photos too and they were absolutely stunning. This review is about 1 year late but I wanted to share my experience…read more My daughter's 1st birthday had just passed and I wanted to get a cute photo shoot done to commemorate the milestone. My sister saw some of Karina's prior work from a friend who uses her services regularly to photograph her kids and recommended I look at her website. What really caught my eye with Karina's work was the cute themes in the pictures. It wasn't easy to find someone who did shoots like this so I contacted her and set up an appointment. Now this will probably be my only criticism but I will add a caveat to it--I did find at times that the communication with Karina was not always as prompt as I would have liked. There were times where it took her a few days to respond to my emails (which she told me was her preferred method of communication). But she did always respond eventually so that's what counts. The caveat is that at that time we were going back and forth with emails she was having construction done on her home which is also her studio so it made sense there were some delays. As for the quality of her work and the effort she puts into creating the right look--definitely superior. I told her I wanted a very girly theme and loved the attention to detail she put in making the backdrop just that. She even had super cute accessories we used for my daughter's shoot and the pictures came out so cute. Everybody always asks me who I used for them. She also is very good with babies. My daughter can be quite shy around strangers but Karina knew just what to do to get her to do what she needed for the differing poses she was looking to get. She even got her to laugh and smile...this was a baby whose aunt called her 'Mona Lisa' because it's a huge feat to get her to smile on command. Setting the shoot up, agreeing to a time, and sending her the deposit and final payment was easy. She sent my proofs to review and select the photos I wanted. She sends you only a few photos to choose from. My guess is she chooses the best shots and lets you choose from those. I was surprised I guess because I was expecting to see every shot but that probably helped to make the decision process of choosing the photos I wanted easier. Sometimes too much choice isn't productive. Overall I would totally recommend her. I have captured a precious moment in my daughter's life through Karina's vision and passion and will definitely look to use her again for future projects.

Maricela was so patient and kind - she went above and beyond to make sure my baby was comfortable (nursing breaks, white noise machine, portable heater to make sure she wasn't cold, and even a mask to keep her from getting sick!). The session was about 3 hrs and I got to just relax while she took baby off my hands. She has the cutest outfits and backdrops in her studio, so you can just show up and she'll take care of everything. Definitely will be using her again for family photos as the kids grow!
