My husband, daughter and her fiancé wanted to find a brunch location after Easter Mass. We choose…read moreMarriot at Eagle Crest and made reservations as we were on our way from attending mass in Ann Arbor. We were kindly seated even though our reservation did not appear on Terrance Room computer system. We were told that the system was not downloading the information. The waitress was very pleasant and attended to us very promptly. The food array was great with many options including an omelet station. There was a sign by the buffet stating $25.00 a plate. The shock came when we received the bill with a total of $348.00 broken down with these prices: * 4 Easter Brunch 256.00 (64.00/per person) * Brunch Bloody Mary $10.00 * Brunch Mimosa $10.00 * SERVICE CHARGE $52.44 * Tax $19.71. * TOTAL 348.15 Stunned we contacted the waitress, who then asked the manager to talk to us. We explained the situation regarding the posted sign on the buffet table at $25.00 per meal and we were not aware of the Easter Brunch cost of $64.00. After some discussion he was willing to give us a 20% discount. Not being satisfied, we asked to talk to his manager whom he called and returned stating that the F & B manager (Jordan Hoffman) increased the percentage off to 30%, so the total bill was $260.00. Listed below are some of the reasons why the price that was posted was not honored according to the day manager. 1.) The sign was a mistakenly positioned. Someone forgot to remove it. 2.) We should have received an email for the confirmation with the intended price of the meal. BUT........................ a. We did not get the email until we finished our brunch. b. After reading the email, the price was not included in the narrative of the notification. 3.) The price is on the website of the Marriot at Eagle Crest BUT............................ a. Stopping at the restaurant was a "off the cuff" decision. The price of the brunch was not easily visible. b. No indication of the price near the hostess station. c. No idea that the venue would add a service charge! I am very disappointed and feel "ripped off." The experience put a damper on the Easter morning with family. I would not recommend this venue at all................... Very rigid with a lack of empathy!

The hotel is under construction and it was never mention in any of the pre-communication leading up to my stay. The elevator memo mention it's going to be happening for 2 months! I had to request a room away from the noise. The photos were giving off new or recently remodeled vibes. I will admit, the lobby was model and well decorated - you can tell it got a makeover. The rest of the hotel, not so much. As soon as you walk into the elevators you step back in time. The hallway carpets are worn and ripped. The room had a few updates but again, it was worn. My drain didn't have a stopper. The lounger chair had weird spots on it. The security latch on my door was broken off. Low quality shampoo and body wash were provided, something you'd find in a Courtyard or Fairfield. Overall the experience was underwhelming for a Marriott. Self-Parking was $30 a night in a parking lot that was right in front of the building. That's a bit expensive in my opinion.

We've been going to Turtle Lake for more than 10 years on and off (wish it could be more often)…read more We've stayed in the lodge and now have a small motorhome. Both types of quarters have their qualities- just depends on how you like to vacation. There are so many things to do here! Beautiful indoor pool. Really nice tiki bar next to the "conversation pool", a rec building with pool, darts, cards... There are volleyball nets, shuffleboard, mini golf, pickleball courts and more! We've never stayed in one of the"park model" units, but they look lovely. There are dances on Saturday nights and themed weekends during the summer. We love it out here. A couple things to keep in mind: This is a FAMILY resort. There are a few families with kids. Sort of took me by surprise when we first visited, but everyone is very relaxed and take all things in stride. This is NOT a swingers place. No one is looking to "hook up". No one cares about the size of your butt or whether you have weird surgery scars. This is a place where everyone enjoys what you can't do most other places: relax, feel comfortable in your own skin and meet new friends. As a woman, I can honestly tell you I was freaked out about going the first time. We're taught to obsess about cellulite and wrinkles. I've never felt as confidant and comfortable as I do at TLR. It becomes obvious right away that no one judges you... about anything! Once you shed your clothes, no one can tell if your rich or making this the one vacation you can take every couple of years. You don't have to compare yourself with a anyone else on any level. And guys... don't worry about being aroused or embarrassed. After a little adjustment period, when you get used to people being friendly and smiling a lot, you just don't feel like you have to be someone you aren't either. You get to know people for who they are. It sounds corny, but you feel natural here. You appreciate people for what's inside. I'm still a little bummed that they don't have the motorcycle rallies anymore (such a blast!) but everything else keeps getting better here. ;) You should visit! Really! (Bring SUNSCREEN!)

The price for a family suit on a Wednesday with 4 passes to the water park is very reasonable. Upon arrival check in was simple and went pretty quickly. You are allowed to start your fun before the room is ready, which is good because the waterpark closes at 8 and opens at 10 am. You can also continue to play after check out. We found this very nice because you wouldn't get much time to play if not. Our room was ready early but our bands didn't open our room so they gave us new ones. The girls working were friendly and helped us sort it out quickly. We were disappointed to find hair in both of our beds. We called and requested fresh bedding because we wanted to get playing. They never came but they did give us a new room, also with hair on the sheets. Our cleaning person came in and we watched her replace the pillowcases with clean right off the cart and guess what? Still hair! This is a laundry issue but we were relieved to know it wasn't because our beds were dirty. This was our only negative issue. Our room was clean and spacious. The pull out sofa wasn't the most comfy but we were so wore out we slept well. The Waterpark wasn't very crowded and it was very fun for our boys! My grandson said he felt like a VIP and they will both remember this fun time. The workers keep a very good eye on things. We felt safe. There's a Dunkin Donuts in the lobby and you can order on an app which I recommend because I ordered at the kiosk and waited 30 mins for 2 coffees. ($9) I would recommend ordering ahead and pick it up when you get a text to save waiting too long. We brought in snacks and drinks to our room. We had a fridge but no microwave. Overall we all agree it was a great time and we will return. The kids loved everything and they said their review is "great"!

The kiosk check in process was a breeze, and I LOVE that water park wristbands double as room keys because it's one less thing to worry about losing. The onsite Dunkin offered good food at reasonable prices. The drinks were really good and felt like they justified their price because they were huge. The hotel rooms were very nice. The arcade was nice, and provided a good variety of games. The bad: Paying for parking is a huge turn-off. It's $20 per day just to park in an ordinary parking lot, which seems like an excessive charge that the resort knows it can get away with because people have to park. Strategies like that feel like they're trying to squeeze every nickel and dime out of patrons. The water park, itself, isn't great. There's two nice-sized tube slides and some very short body slides. The lazy river is also very short and filled with empty tubes in a way that feels claustrophobic. The hot tubs are nice. But it just doesn't feel like there's anything particularly exciting to do. Once you've been down the slides a few times and checked out the hot tubs, that's mostly it unless you're a little kid (there's a few activities that are geared for young kids). Overall: If you want a good resort experience, you can get it here. If you want a good water park experience, you've got much better options nearby.

I am over the legal drinking age, but I look very young, when I approached the bar to ask what kind of beer they had - one of the bartenders gave me this snarky look and said "are you even allowed to drink? I need to see some ID" with so much attitude fair I get it - I look like i'm under 21, but I actually left my ID in my car and my fiancé had my keys so I went to go track him down somewhere else at the venue to get my ID. After retrieving my ID from my car my brother and my Fiancé decided to go with me so they could get drinks too. When we went back up to the bar my fiancé and my brother (who look almost as young as I do) got their drinks without being ID no problem. When I approached a different bartender was there and she started to get my beer no problem. The other bartender from earlier who ID me stopped her and said "oh no. She's not old enough to drink" with the same attitude, then I showed them my ID and proceeded to get my beer. I understand that I do look really young- & i'm used to being ID but there was no reason for this bartender to have an attitude with me twice
