The three (3) angels that your company sent us were amazing, I just want to let your company know about their performance during the wedding event for Abby and Han. They are very attentive to our instructions, they are very patient and do not have an attitude. They always make it a point to check and confirm with me if they are unsure of any instructions - they would ask me in a polite manner. Tracey is just so cool and continusly moving, Brenda was very attentive and she has initiative in planning the next thing to do and she also makes suggestions if I am not paying attention - Lol. Haley - she just quietly working and makes sure things are placed in order & she's also very attentive -- she might look tiny but has strong muscles because I saw her carrying cases of drinks. They all know what to do with the bins and containers of my bride and groom's items for the food and kitchen. I was really impressed by their professionalism and their ability to know what goes with what - where things should be placed and how to organize. These three angels were able to clear and make the place look tidy- without me telling them what to do. It was such a relief and I was able to focus on what I was supposed to do TO COORDINATE THE EVENT- and not set up the buffet/ non alcoholic drinks /food etc.. Scenario : when clients go DIY for their wedding- it is very difficult if there is no one to supervise and oversee the preparations, However, it is manageable if we have crews and helpers from EventHeplersLA - it makes everything easy and we need not to worry. Gustavo booked a server for me to assist me in the kitchen for my husbands 60th birthday party. I've never hired anyone to help me with an event so this was a treat for me. Gustavo was professional, responsive and gave me a feeling of confit when booking with his company. The star of this booking was the server who came to help, Jenny! She jumped into action as soon as she arrived. She knew how to run the kitchen, keep all the food filled on the table, prepared and warmed the food and took care of everything. Gustavo and Allan team did an AMAZING job this past weekend for our Engagement party. I decided to hire some outside help so we didn't need to worry about anything during our party, and they overdelivered! Never did I go without a drink in my hand. I cannot say enough about my experience with Event Helpers LA from beginning to end. First off, I am super-picky and have a very high bar for hiring service personnel for parties. I contacted over 10 companies throughout southern california for an End of Summer White Party we were hosting at our home two weeks ago for over 75 people. I used two different companies for catering and neither had service staff that night for our event. I required three servers for passed hourdourves, throughout the night clean-up and oversight, and also replenishment of food throughout the evening and in general, ensuring everything was running smoothly. I did everything in my power to plan every last detail in advance. I had chafing dishes out prior, I had instructions clearly printed out, folding tables in the garage with signs where all the dishes would go, etc etc. I was not going to be home all afternoon from 12-5 and the servers and catering would arrive at 4 pm and I would not be home til 5:30, thirty minutes before the party began at 6 pm. En route home at 5:15, I learned not only did one of the catering companies NOT have an order for us, but the other had forgotten all of our passed hourdourves. This was an upscale well-known OC catering company so it was shocking. It was SO stressful, hearing this news. When I arrived home I expected it to be mass pandemonium. It was the opposite. The servers had everything under control and were doing whatever they could to take inventory and remain calm. That vibe did not change throughout the night. I literally did NOTHING all night to give them guidance. They read my instructions I left for them, they did not have to ask me ONE question or need any guidance. My popcorn and cupcakes and dessert display went out on time and looked beautiful. They lit my brother and fiance's birthday cakes for us and also cleaned up everything before they left. The entire experience was FLAWLESS. I would use this company again in a HEARTBEAT. They will now be my "go to" staffing company for all future parties. It was a DELIGHT working with Gustavo from start to finish. Communication was clear, follow-through was wonderful. There was NO Confusion or drama or anything negative at all. Every Christmas I host an annual Toys for Tots event, where I invite 200+ friends and family, plus Marines and their families to attend. All I ask from my guests is to donate a brand new toy. I fund it myself. I save all year to pay for my party. I heavily rely on the kindness and generosity of people to donate their time in helping me host my party such as the hired help, DJ and bartenders. The first interaction I had with owner of Event Helpers LA, Gustavo, was when I first inquired information on cost a few months back. I explained to Gustavo how many people we are expecting, and he advised me how many people I needed for help per the people attending. He also advised me how many hours I would need them for. Since this event is being funded by me only, I couldn't afford the advised amount of helpers and timeframe Gustavo suggested, so I thanked him for his time and we parted ways. However, the following day, we came into contact again, and he stated how my event had been on his mind since he is a man for his community, and he wanted to help any way he could. He stated he will send his best and strongest employee to handle my 200+ guests and donate his own personal time to assist my event as he loves his community and wants to help. Well, let me begin with this, Gustavo truly is a man for his community and we are all very lucky to have such a kind and generous man who has never met me before, but want to partake in this Toys for Tots event any way he can, just so underprivileged children can have a better Christmas this year. He is everything we need in this country, most importantly, this world. We are in a time where we are so focused on race, status, gender, sexual orientation, but Gustavo, and Event Helpers LA, are more concerned of helping ALL people, not just a "select few". What an amazing leader to his employees, and owner of his business. Now, onto the night of my event...I'm very Type-A, and I like things to be done a certain way (meaning my neurotic way that only makes sense to me and works for me), and as promised, Gustavo sent his best employee forward. Jenny was my saving grace!! My angel sent by my other angel, Gustavo. She was everything I needed and more!! I needed hired help to help my mom and me throughout the night to refill the foods in the buffet table, continuously check and restock the restroom with any paper towel and toilet paper needs, and clean up after the guests throughout the night. I did all the cooking myself, so I wrote specific instructions on the cover of all my dishes and the times I wanted them to be placed in the oven and Jenny followed my neurotic instructions to the t! At some point in the beginning of the night when guests were beginning to show up and things were getting overwhelming, my mom and I lost track of what we needed to take out of the fridge and put in the oven, but Jenny was already five steps ahead of us, and assured us she has it taken care of. I think I have found my Type-A identical twin who is probably better at being on top of it than I am. Jenny with her calm, and put together demeanor assured us she has it all under control and we should enjoy our night since it is our party and we should let her take care of her job. Again, me being the crazy Type-A, normally, I would never leave my kitchen alone especially with my food I've cooked/prepped, as I like to make sure everything is cooked the way I want it to be cooked, and served the way I like it to be served. I don't even trust my own mother at times. I make sure to watch her with a close eye to make sure she is executing my instructions properly. But with Jenny, my confidence and trust in her execution was established right away. She allowed me to actually enjoy my event. She allowed my mother to enjoy our event. We didn't have to worry about the things we have had to worry about in the past, and actually be able to dance and mingle with our guests. Jenny is an amazing employee and asset to Event Helpers LA. She is, LITERALLY, what every person needs for their event if they want to actually enjoy it themselves with their guests and not have to deal with the tiny, but gritty details throughout the night. I hugged her on numerous occasions throughout the night cause I didn't know how else to show her my appreciation and gratitude for what she did for my mom and me. Our event would not have been executed in a timely manner without the help of Jenny. She is a professional. She is hardworking. And like her boss, she is extremely sweet and generous. The only take away I can offer to any person who reads this Yelp Review, is if you want to have an enjoyable, memorable, well-executed event, then Gustavo's business, Event Helpers LA, is who you want to hire, and ask for Jenny to be assigned for your event.
