Upon arrival we went to the front counter to get our shoes. The guy walked up and was very short with us as he proceeded to slam our shoes on the counter. He then told us we would need two lanes since we had seven people with us. We told him that was not a problem. He was very rude and acted like we were an inconvenience for being there. He then pointed to the last lane and said yall will be at the very end with a very short, smart attitude. My friend asked do we need to pay now or wait? He looked at her like she was an idiot and said you pay at the end. She looked at me and said are we a problem? I mean this guy is a butt hole. We walked off very upset that we were talked to and treated that way. We get to our lane and realized the guy (supposedly the Owner) that was so rude to us was on a lane bowling. So I take it we were an inconvenience to him because we interrupted his bowling game. My younger son and his friend got a dollar and went to the counter to get change for one of the game machines, they waited forever and nobody ever came to help them. I told them not to go back up there that we would dig up some change for them. I was very disappointed in this place, very unprofessional and the owner is so rude. We will definitely not be back.

Comparative to Cinemark (the other theater in town), this venue is clearly newer and has better…read moretechnology. Bigger stadium style seating, better projection, and higher quality sound, with Dolby Atmos offerings for certain films. That said, you're going to pay for it. Whereas a late showing at Cinemark runs $9.50- $9.75 (as of 26 May 25), Malco is charging $11.25-$11.75. On Tuesday specials, you have a similar gap, with Cinemark around $5, and Malco around $7. I generally find this reasonable given the differences. We swung by on Memorial Day during a busy opening, holiday extended weekend. Booking online (and having to pay extra for it) helps get past any lines, and skip to the kiosk. Like most modern theaters, there's no traditional movie stubs; rather cheap receipt paper tickets, about as thin as toilet paper. Being a stub collector I find this disappointing, but again I can't ding them for it, as it's par for the course with most theatres. The staff was courteous, and the theater clean. Until that point I was sitting on five (5) stars ... unfortunately I cannot ignore or forgive the state of disrepair my "luxury" seat was in (picture included; House 5, Row J). And the two (2) next to it, weren't far behind, so it clearly wasn't a one (1) off. This is not something that gets accidentally missed, nor something that happened suddenly. Because of that, I can't get past a two (2). However, being a film lover, I will try again in about a month, booking the same House, to see if there are any changes. If so, I'll update my rating accordingly.

The tickets were very reasonable. The entertainment was great as I really had a great time. Parking: Well, I was lucky. I got here about an hour or so early. So, I was able to park right out front for free. That's right I didn't have to pay for parking. However, tickets for the 3 singers I came to see were no where near sold out. The arena was about half full. But, I have a feeling that if they are sold out to someone popular you might have to pay for parking. This is because I saw signs in the back that said parking $5 at the Automobile Museum. This is for over flow parking for events at the arena that are sold out. In summary, I will be coming back. They have concerts here as well monster truck shows and basketball games. The concerts that they have scheduled over the next few months range country to rock and even Christian bands. She explained to me that they had a walking tour as well as a drive through. They even give you buckets of food so you can feed the animals, apparently they come right up to you. I didn't take the tour but she invited me to continue to take a look around. Everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves and I didn't hear any wild animals on the loose. Maybe next time I'll take the drive through tour, if things go wrong I know I can't outrun an animal but I can certainly out drive one.

The park is dedicated to the memory of those who suffered through the Tupelo Tornado in 1936. It has a nice walking path, a children's playground, basketball courts, pavilions, and more. If you are in the Tupelo, Mississippi area, I would definitely recommend Gumtree Park.
