I was extremely grateful for all his help getting vendors finalized, providing advice on what we needed from each of them, and negotiating terms for our agreements. He also ran with figuring out the floor plan for our reception, timing for all the parts of the evening, and helped with some final styling choices. It was clear he understood exactly what we wanted and made it all look and run fabulously! On the day of, we didn't have to worry about a thing and if anything went wrong we never knew about it. He and his team did everything from set-up to tear-down. The event went off flawlessly and so many of my guests commented on how well the reception went and how thoughtful (and fun) everything was. As the groom, during cocktail hour, I noticed that the owners of our venue were serving the guests drinks, along with the boyfriend of the wedding planner. They were getting slammed by dozens of our guests wanting libations to get the party started. Our wedding planner informed me that our bartending vendors, Bar Divas of Austin, had yet to arrive, and that they informed her they would be on the way. They eventually showed up - almost five hours late! Thank God those people listed above went above and beyond to keep the boat afloat. With three or so hours of the night remaining, they continued to drop the figurative ball, from serving our guests hard liquor (we requested mixed drinks only), being rude to one of the bridesmaids who asked what she was getting served, and over pouring cocktails which led to us running out of tequila well before the night was through. This was one of the few vendors, based on the high reviews, that we thought was gonna be a no-brainer. It turned out to be the worst decision for us, but luckily the damage was mitigated. We strongly recommend you reconsider this vendor for your big day. As of today, a week from our wedding, they have yet to reach out to us to make it right.... (UPDATE: The venue owners had tried reaching out and stating our case as to why we should at least be refunded, but the owner refuses, saying he had to get "back-up emergency bartenders, costing him 4 times the amount." un. real. Especially considering they were both at least five hours late. So mere weeks before our wedding, I had to find a videographer. Even though I had my wedding planned for months, I went to a bridal show to find a videographer. I am a slow and deliberate person and like to think through my decisions but due to the rushed nature of my decision, I had to go with my gut and intuition as I needed to have a videographer on board quickly. I visited all of the videographer booths and viewed the videos. I just couldn't find the right one - either I didn't like the background music of a sample video or the way some of video scenes looked unnaturally staged and that was exactly what I was afraid our wedding video would look like and really the reason we hadn't originally considered a videographer. But then I wandered into another videographer booth and watched a video sample that actually moved me to tears - Jordan Bunch Productions - just WOW! I signed up with Jordan right there at the Bridal Show and that was the best wedding decision I've made. Jordan is an absolute genius. I can try to describe Jordan's videos (touching, moving, artistic, great vision, optimizes every shot, great editing skills) but I think you just need to do what I did and go with your gut and intuition because when you watch his videos you will see for yourself that his videos surpass any other wedding videos. Jordan himself is an absolute dream to work with, very responsive to all my concerns and not very noticeable at the wedding which made our video more real and sincere as no one was "acting" for the camera. I look at our video now and see the precious moments that were captured and I really don't remember a camera being around. This is the best wedding videographer in Austin. Hands down.
