I surfed the web, and kept coming back to the photos of Blackbird floral and their bio about being a family run company. Every time I send flowers somewhere it is really important for me to find a florist who is a true artisan and does not produce cookie cutter arrangements. Blackbird Floral did just that. The arrangement was beautiful and very well received by my son and future daughter-in-law. They sent a photo and couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous the flower arrangement was. Blackbird Floral will be my go-to when sending flowers in Austin, Texas. I ordered the arrangement late morning and they were delivered that same evening. I cannot say enough good things about this small company. It was also very difficult to choose and arrangement as their website photos captured so many beautiful options. Thank you Blackbird!! Lea took time to hear my specific requirements and made recommendations. While ultimately I decided not to purchase a floral arrangement with Blackbird Floral today, the positive personal interaction with Lea made me want to purchase an arrangement in the future. Their prices are slightly higher than their competitors. I liked that they had some exotic flowers I do not normally see. Look forward to purchasing a Blackbird Floral arrangement in the future...

My daughter in law was thrilled with bouquet and is still enjoying flowers today which is 4 days after delivery. I would not hesitate to use this flower shop again!

In route to a bookstore, I noticed the succulent store and decided to pop in. Succulent Native is a plant boutique in Austin, Texas, specializing in succulents, cacti, and creative plant arrangements. Quite honestly, I never knew that there were so many permutations of succulents. I actually believe I might be able to keep a succulent alive since they require little maintenance. I learned from the store manager that they host succulent parties. That would be a cool way to spend time with family and friends. In addition, while they have some beautiful plants, some can be a bit pricey. With that said, there is a section of the store that has some reasonably priced smaller plants. There's a little something for everyone.

We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Everything about the…read moreexperience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

That level of service carried over to most of the staff on the boat, making the experience even more enjoyable. During the event, I was introduced to Paul, who was seated with a group of friends. He was introduced to me as the boat owner and came across as relaxed and not at all pushy--qualities I appreciate when considering a business, especially since part of my motivation for attending was to explore options for my birthday celebration. Unfortunately, Paul's friends left a negative impression. A couple of them outright refused to acknowledge me, turning away when a gentleman attempted to introduce me. Others made inappropriate jokes about my accent in a condescending and offensive manner. One individual even made vulgar comments, implying that Paul should get my phone number to discuss event planning details later, which was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. While the event itself was enjoyable, the boat ride interesting, the behavior of those around the boat owner and the fact that the boat owner never replied to my text message trying to discuss my event, was disappointing and detracted from my overall experience. This experience left me with a negative impression of the boat's management, and I strongly feel that they are not welcoming to immigrants. The group consisted of older white men whose behavior was filled with prejudice and hostility. And for that reason I felt compelled to post a review discouraging people like me- and those against this type of behavior - to stay away and make better choices. We can use our money to invest in a much better experience elsewhere I left the boat traumatized and truly disgusted by those old men behaviors. Do better!

We had a bachelor party with seven guys and needed a last-minute yacht reservation. We were stressed, scrambling to get everything together, and honestly weren't sure if we'd even be able to make it happen. Then we found Shoreline Boat Rentals, and Captain Dave completely saved the day. From the beginning until the moment we said goodbye, Dave's customer service was second to none. Even with such short notice, he had the yacht cleaned, prepped, and ready to go. When we arrived, he had a checklist ready to make sure we didn't forget anything in our vehicles before we left the dock. It sounds simple, but when you're trying to organize a bachelor party, little things like that make a huge difference. He took all the stress off our shoulders so we could focus on having fun. The yacht itself was absolutely beautiful--honestly, the pictures on the website don't do it justice. It's even more impressive in person, and it was spotless from front to back. What impressed me most was Dave's attention to detail. I needed a screwdriver to fix one of our water guns, and before I knew it, Dave showed up with one and even fixed it for me. That's the kind of customer service you just don't see very often. Once we got to Devil's Cove, Dave went above and beyond. He helped grill burgers, made sure everyone had food, drinks, and plenty of ice, and kept checking in to make sure everyone was having a great time. It honestly felt like his mission was to take all the thinking out of the day so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves--and he absolutely accomplished that. Safety was also a top priority. Before we left the dock, Dave clearly explained the rules while the boat was underway and while it was anchored. Everything was straightforward, easy to understand, and he made sure everyone stayed safe without taking away from the fun. Pulling into Devil's Cove was one of the highlights of the day. We cruised in with the music playing, the yacht looked incredible, and it definitely turned some heads to get the attention we wanted! It made for an unforgettable bachelor party. Captain Dave didn't just provide a yacht--he created an experience. He turned what could have been a stressful, last-minute situation into one of the best days we've had together. 10/10 across the board: customer service, professionalism, cleanliness, safety, and the overall experience. Whenever I'm back at Lake Travis, I'm booking with Shoreline Boat Rentals again. I won't even look at another company. Captain Dave earned a customer for life. Highly, highly recommend!

Gypsy floral undoubtedly deserves the highest recommendation possible! My fiance (now wife) put me in charge of florals for our wedding, which I understand is somewhat uncommon. I was obviously very nervous about finding the right vendor and getting the best possible flower arrangements for our wedding. My nerves melted away after speaking with Emily and Leigh from Gypsy. They are very knowledgeable professionals and their past work shows that they consistently create stunning pieces of floral art. I am confident that I could have given them no guidance whatsoever and they would have made something amazing for my wedding. Working with Leigh to specify our personal floral preferences gave us a final product which combined Gypsy's creative abilities with our own personal touches. It turned out to be nothing short of perfect. We received so many compliments about the florals during our wedding. The bridal bouquet, the boutonnieres, the growing arrangements, table vases, all of it was so unique, personalized, and beautiful. Five stars are not enough for Gypsy Floral! From the very beginning, Emily and the entire team at Gypsy Floral blew me away with their warmth, professionalism, and out-of-this-world talent. They handled the floral design for both our wedding and rehearsal, and I can honestly say they were my favorite vendor and one of the most unforgettable parts of our entire celebration. We worked with the wonderful Gypsy ladies for our June 2012 wedding, and absolutely could not be happier with our entire planning experience. They were incredibly easy to work with - flexible with their time, budget conscious, creative and imaginative beyond words, and they also happen to be problem solving gurus. Sunni and Emily worked so hard at creating the vision we developed together that our wedding was infinitely more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. The flowers and succulent sculptures they created for our wedding were stunning, and were literally exactly what I had envisioned (even though my descriptions were rather vague and chaotic). And those women worked harder than ever on the day of. My husband noted that at the venue, before the ceremony, every time he asked them a question, they would know the answer without hesitation. First of all, working with Emily and her team was wonderful. They were great listeners; knowledgeable and invested in my vision for our son's rehearsal dinner . The flowers were stunning and complimented the venue beautifully . I repurposed them the next morning for a drop in breakfast and everyone commented on the unique and gorgeous florals . Working across state lines could have been stressful, however Emily's friendly manner; prompt response to questions or requests and ability to deliver, made it a joy to work with her, fully confident that she had my/our best interests in mind. For my wedding, I had a unique vision to combine florals with produce to create a truly autumnal feel. Sunni and Emily executed beautifully from the aisle markers to the head table. The arrangements were exquisite, creating what was the most memorable decor from the wedding for both my guests and myself. Being that our venue was the location of our ceremony and reception and we were planning an outdoor wedding, I felt that the service really required an arch. Gypsy Floral brought the most beautiful driftwood arbor, and Emily and Sunni stood out in the rain for hours placing individual flowers inside the vines that wrapped around it and truly perfecting one of the most picturesque locations of the day. Sunni and Emily are amazingly talented individuals. When planning my wedding I had an initial idea and Gypsy floral expanded on that idea and created a wonderland that was beyond my imagination. Sunni and Emily are incredibly knowledgable, creative, and talented executers caring about the little details and the big picture. Several days before my wedding we rented tents due to rain. I was worried that would completely ruin the aesthetic of my wedding, but Sunni and Emily were not phased and saved the day creating the most amazing tropical greenhouse that our guest are still talking about. I am absolutely IN LOVE with Gypsy Floral! The entire Gypsy team is incredibly nice, well organized and professional, have an amazing eye for design, and a huge passion for flowers! They were our favorite vendor to work with by far as we planned our wedding. I worked with Sunni and she is absolutely wonderful. When the fire marshal nixed the streamer installation for our wedding last minute, Sunni immediately came up with an amazing alternative that looked incredible. I used gypsy floral for my bridal shower and for my 30th birthday. Their arrangements are unique, whimsical and completely stunning. People will tell you how pretty your flowers are at any event, but when they constantly come up to you wanting to know who you got your flowers from, then you know your florist hit the ball out of the park. I am beyond thankful for Emily + her incredibly team at Gypsy Floral! I'm not sure how they source such stunning flowers but their arrangements are magic! Because of budget limitations, I wasn't able to hire them to do all our wedding flowers (my family ended up putting together most of the table arrangements, etc.); however, Gypsy did all our personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, family flowers) and was able to match my aesthetic and vision so seamlessly. I knew that floral would be the biggest part of our wedding, design-wise, so I met with tons of florists before choosing Gypsy. Emily and Sunni absolutely made my dreams come true. Above and beyond!! Emily came recommended to me by a friend who is dear friends with her and she exceeded all expectations. Super easy to communicate with and made extra flower crowns for us just to make sure we liked what she did. Gave her complete creative freedom and love that we decided to do that because her eye is much better than mine would have been!! Im from out of town. I sent my sister flowers just to let her know I was thinking about her. The person I talked to was extremely personable. I don't know the first thing about flowers, but I explained how I wanted my sister to feel when she got them. Gypsy was confident they could portray what I wanted. I ordered flowers here for my mom, and chose a pretty sizable arrangement (around $200). The arrangement was beautiful, but unfortunately didn't last longer than 2 days, which is unacceptable. I called to let them know expecting them to provide some sort of recourse, and after nicely explaining the situation to them, they ultimately would only offer 10% off my next order. They claimed their flowers are premium and extremely delicate, which is why they don't last as long. I don't necessarily think that's true, since my mom took a picture of the arrangement right after it was delivered (she texted me to tell me thank you), and you could already tell one of the flowers was on its last legs. Either way though, you can't be in the business of selling expensive flower arrangements that don't last beyond a couple days. I never write reviews but want others to be forewarned. They may do a wonderful job with weddings, but I wouldn't order an arrangement from them again.

I shared a Pinterest board full of inspiration and ideas, and she put together a design proposal that incorporated so many of those images. As someone who likes to know exactly how things are going to look, it was tempting to ask for every little detail of how the inspiration would translate into the final arrangements. Instead, I trusted Cheryl's creativity and expertise to bring everything together, and I'm so glad I did. When we walked through the venue before the wedding, I was thrilled with how everything looked, and somehow it was even more beautiful on the wedding day. We intentionally kept our florals fairly minimal, using bud vases, candles, and repurposing our ceremony flowers for the reception. Even with that approach, the space felt full, elegant, and intentional--you never would have guessed we had taken a more minimalist approach. Everything was exactly as I had envisioned, and we received so many compliments on the flowers and overall design. Cheryl has an incredible eye for bringing inspiration to life, and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. I would recommend Stems to any couple looking for beautiful florals and an attentive, collaborative florist.

All around bad. Anniversary flowers ordered on their website on a Friday, which provided me a…read moredelivery window option for Saturday between 11am - 3pm (and received an e-mailed confirmation). The flowers do not arrive on Saturday. I leave a voice message Saturday at 3:30 pm, no response on Monday. Tuesday, I go the store ask for a refund, and am told they can't find the order, and they are closed on Saturday. I am asked to forward my e-mail receipt to an e-mail address, which I do (having the staff member confirm the e-mail is correct). 48 hours later, I've still received no phone calls or e-mails, and thus I've just disputed the charge with my credit card. No apologies provided to the Mrs., either. I've used them twice a year for a couple years as the Mrs. has been pleased with the flowers, and I've tolerated some minor issues (slightly late deliveries and somewhat comically, mylar balloons not being delivered for three separate orders, which has become a running joke). All that said, they don't seem particularly bothered that I haven't received my flowers or refund -- but I am. Good riddance!

I left a message and they called me back promptly with apologies and offered me a new bouquet! Even asked if I would like a different one so that I had a holiday center piece! I was ecstatic to have the option, noting to the woman on the phone that she was doing me a huge courtesy. They delivered them 2 days later. Great! Things got weird when they asked me to bring back the large vase that my original arrangement came in. The new arrangement was much smaller. They did offer to have their driver pick it up. I ended up dropping it off instead. This is were I decided to change my review. The two women I was thanking ended up laughing and insulting me. I explained that my co-worker was a florist at Whole Foods and received a RUDE response of laughing and comments about how quote, "That isn't a florist". They went on for long enough that I felt very awkward. This maybe how they feel about corporate flower arrangers but that needs to stay behind the scenes and not be passed along to me. They seem like a well established business and likely don't care about losing my business. Flowers cost a lot of money and should come with joy not gritted teeth.

I don't even remember how I stumbled on them, but I was immediately drawn to the website (it's minimalist and clean) which featured arrangements overflowing with succulents. this seemed fun and unusual and I wanted my wedding to be that. as a part of our DIY decor, I folded about 200 origami cranes and wanted these to be included in all the arrangements. if I remember correctly, I kinda just dropped them off with Jenn and hoped for the best. holy shnikes did Pollen deliver! I mean, they literally delivered (I literally CRIED when I walked into the bridal suite at the venue in Driftwood). the flowers that I didn't even really care that much about or really even want (?? is that a thing?) were PERFECT. they were just so incredibly gorgeous. it was like these super-humans crawled in my brain and created my vision without me even knowing what that was. the cranes were so perfect. anyway, I wanted sunflowers and succulents and my wacky cranes and they just hit it out of the ballpark. AND their prices were reasonable, but even if they weren't, they'd 100% be worth it.
