    Jessie went above and beyond to ensure that my wedding went seamlessly. If there were any hiccups in the day, I had no clue because she handled literally EVERYTHING. Carries herself with grace and kept our very large bridal party in check to ensure we stayed on schedule, which this alone was no simple task. Leading up to the wedding any questions I had she was very quick to respond and walked me through the whole process. Her long standing relationships with additional vendors in the community made it so easy to choose our vendors because her vendor list is full of the very best!! She truly is the best!! If you're on the fence about hiring a day of planner, this is your sign to DO IT!

    Lol hard to find pictures of her because she is behind the scenes doing everything that you don't want to think or worry about the day of the wedding. I would 100% recommend budgeting out a wedding planner or at least day of coordinator. I made the mistake of thinking I didn't need one, but two weeks before the wedding we had a couple fall outs (friends??) for this type of leadership position and they flaked. TOTALLY freaking out--- but by Google and word of mouth I heard great things about Jessie, and she showed up to those expectations and more! What a fabulous day/night it was!

    Hiring Jessie as our Day of Coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From the very first phone call she was so friendly and personable that we both loved her. She did an excellent job taking control and coordinating our rehearsal and our big day! My wedding day was the best day of my life and I owe it to Jessie running it so smoothly! She really calmed all my nerves my whole family and I to just enjoy the day. One guest told me later that she was coming up to take our picture while we were eating dinner and Jessie stopped her and was super nice and kindly told her we only had a little time to eat and thank God she did that! Let me tell you that hiring Jessie will be the life saver to your wedding day! She's amazing at her job!

    Okkkkkkay! When you think about your perfect wedding it probably includes a very low amount of stress and anxiety, right? Well if you want that to come true you NEED Jessie! You absolutely cannot do your wedding without her! Before my wedding I was sure I didn't need an event coordinator. I was sure I could handle it alone. Then I met Jessie and in one conversation I knew I needed her help. She worked calmly, experienced and fun. She listened to my crazy brideness worries and had a response for every possible issue. When my husband and I couldn't agree on certain details she's offer her experienced opinion to help us make our choice but never seemed pushy. Her opinions were delivered in a friendly way which made me love her even more. On the day of my wedding she made sure everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, we had a small snafu with our flowers and I felt comfortable enough with Jessie to tell her I wasn't happy. Her response was "You don't worry about this. I will handle it." She disappeared for about an hour and reappeared with the flowers I'd hoped for. Later I found out she had been on the phone with the florist and when the florist showed up with the wrong thing again she sent her back for the right thing. I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes because Jessie had it so handled. I cannot express my gratitude to Jessie for making my day perfect. She is amazing!

From Day 1 of having her on our team, even before the official "month-of," she shared her advice, amazing vendors and kind heart with us. Pretty much every vendor we used came from her list! Also, using her planning software was super helpful to keep us all on the same page. This was a destination wedding, and planning this mostly through COVID, she worked well with the limitations and was very flexible. All of our family and friends commented about how great she was at the rehearsal dinner and wedding. She ended up planning our entire rehearsal dinner and it was INCREDIBLE! She made it an evening we will never forget, perfectly matching our style as a couple. The day of our wedding ran smoothly, and if there were any hiccups we never saw them! She made us feel special, and I trusted her completely with anything that came up. She was organized, got our large bridal party to everywhere they needed to be, and worked hard the entire time. As a side note: her husband Derek Preciado was our photographer/videographer for the day, and those two make an amazing pair. She joined us on our engagement shoot to get to know us better. Having Jade and her excellent assistant there day-of made it so that we could truly enjoy our wedding and not have to put our siblings and parents, "To work," so they could relax and just celebrate with us. During our venue walk-through, Jade was taking measurements and sketching a layout of tables and where vendors could go, making sure it was how we would like it to be. She knew to ask all the questions to our venue that we would have never thought of but are logistically important (details regarding rental drop off and pickup, etc). If you are lucky enough to find Just as Promised available for your date, I would recommend you jump on it!

However, a few weeks into planning, I realized having an individual with knowledge of all the vendors, and ensuring no other details were missed was critical. I was living on the east coast and planning a wedding celebration on the west coast, so I needed someone else expertise and personal experiences. I chose Monica because: (1) she was very responsive to emails, (2) was so warm, friendly and personable and (3) was willing to work with my budget. She had worked with every vendor I had chosen (except the ice cream truck). She reviewed every contract before I signed. She save us a lot of money on decor and flowers by using her personal inventory and skills. She caught errors in my list and counts for my rentals. She revised my venue layout multiple times and shared in my OCD nature of documentation in google docs. She met with me several times before the wedding day and met up with me in person a month before the wedding when we went to see the venue. The week before the wedding, she contacted all the vendors and I was able to spend time with family. The day of the rehearsal dinner she showed up 4.5 hours early to ensure all the setup was completed for the night and for part of the next day. It went without a hitch and she took care of the decor, and communications with catering. The day of the wedding, she arrived earlier than us to set up! She did my flowers, and did an amazing job. My bouquet was lovely and huge! While my family and I got our hair and makeup done, she set up/decorated the welcome tables, beverage stations, reception tables, escort tables and cocktail tables. She was an organized and calm presence, coordinating with photography, ensuring we were on schedule and guiding us for the ceremony. At the reception, she helped DJ mark with seamless transitions in the itinerary and some small modifications. At the end of the night, she waited for the last person to leave the venue and went above and beyond to help us ensure everyone's safety. Overall, Monica is the best coordinator I couldn't have had the perfect day without her. She made the entire planning process fun and smooth. We reached out to her in March 2020 to have her coordinate our wedding and had put down a deposit. Due to the pandemic we immediately had to shift plans and we asked her, the venue and our DJ if they could shift to a 5 year credit which they all agreed to. Anticipating our 5 year, we reached out to her December 7th 2023 to let her know our intentions of planning our 5 year in 2025. We were able to confirm our venue and our DJ at this time so we felt we should reach out to her as well. With no response, I reached out a week and a half later to check in. She said she was available but had increased her prices. We reached back out same day and didn't hear back a week and a half later and checked in. She had an auto-response that she would be out of office until January 9th. Weird since she never followed up with us beforehand. We reached back out on the 9th and she responded saying she got the dates wrong and thought it was 2024 and if she was available in 2025 she would be there but otherwise it would be her staff to take over. "If I do not book a wedding on that date, then I would continue as your day-of coordinator." Basically saying if another wedding of higher value doesn't come up she would serve us. This left a bad taste in our mouths. We responded back the next day, no response. A week later, no response and an auto-message. 2 weeks later and no response until the 26th even though she was actively posting on social media and going out to cocktails on her stories. Her response was that since our event was over a year out, she was spending more time on other large-scale event clients. She then explained that her socials were run by her husband and 14 year old daughter. The only reason I feel that she finally responded was because we told her that if we didn't have some type of response and resolution by 6pm that day that we would share our experience, which she still didn't respond to until 10pm. Her last response was "I'm really sorry you feel that way. I would hope our previous working relationship would have shown my attention to detail and demand for great service for my clients. You unfortunately caught me at a very busy time during, and just after, the holidays." We had no previous working relationship, and if she was referring to our earlier emails that still didn't show her work ethic. Also if she's charging more, wouldn't she have a higher attention to detail now? I can appreciate being busy, but I would never leave my client hanging and put out an auto-responder message without finishing up a conversation with a client. I would at least send a quick personal email saying, I had got theirs and would respond back as soon as possible. Every luxury planner and vendor we reached out to got back to us within 72 hours, which I find odd she could not manage as we had to wait 16 days+ for responses. We really wanted to work with someone who was excited to work with us on our special day but it seemed that from the time we booked her until we reached back out for our anniversary event, that our event did not seem aligned with her luxury business values since her contact form is looking at booking events that are $100K plus. She never apologized other than 'I'm sorry you feel that way'. She didn't even refund our deposit even if it was partial. It was a nightmare trying to get answers from her. She might market herself as luxury, but her service and standard are far from it in our experience. There are far better planners out there and we recommend looking elsewhere.

We lost our deposit to Sarah, she delivered no work product, and ultimately ghosted us. Please continue reading for the details if you haven't already crossed her off your list. Our relationship started in early January 2022 and she was the first vendor we hired. Our venue required hiring a coordinator and provided a few recommendations. We thought that experience with the venue and relationships with local vendors would serve us well, so we hired her. First signs of trouble occurred in February. Upon us hiring her, we communicated a date that we'd travel to Paso Robles from our home in the Bay Area for late Feb, providing 6+ weeks lead time for her. It's an expensive trip for us plus we have full lives with work and family obligations, so we wanted to lock in the key vendors on this trip that required in person meetings. We reiterated the importance of this trip multiple times to Sarah. We held weekly conversations as well as emailed and texted with her, so we thought this was under control. About a week out prior to our travel weekend, we started asking about a schedule because there was none. These requests got more urgent as the week proceeded. The MORNING we were driving to Paso Robles, we asked her for details of our first vendor meeting and that's when we finally got a schedule. Needless to say the trip didn't go well. We wasted time with vendors that weren't priority and some were so misaligned with our needs which a quick conversation could have avoided those meetings. But we did walk away from the trip with a couple of leads to move to contract. In March, we started trying to follow up with Sarah on the vendors we liked as we wanted to secure them and avoid the risk of losing our date to other couples. Sarah claimed it was under control but we were never presented with contracts or asked for deposits. Our biggest follow up with was catering given the one Sarah presented to us was a complete mismatch. We undertook the search ourselves and ultimately found a caterer that fit our needs and budget. As we got into late March and then April, we started to hear less and less from Sarah. She would fire off weird updates to assure us she was hard at work but generally wouldn't return our texts or calls in the timely fashion as in the early part of the relationship. We still had no vendors secured and we started to get nervous and knew we needed to plan another trip. We decided to follow up with the handful of vendors we had contact info for just to see if there was a hold up somewhere. They all universally responded that they were either waiting on Sarah for a go ahead or that they didn't have our date secured. That's when we ended the relationship and took the planning upon ourselves. Even in the final 48 hours, she didn't reply to our urgent requests or even the fact we told her she was fired. To this day, we haven't heard from her. To say that she overpromised and under delivered is an understatement, steer far clear with your wedding planning needs.

I came to Fete & Quill/Raina somewhat last minute before the wedding, as we decided to have professional calligraphy done for two large chalkboard signs rented from Embellish Vintage Rentals. She was extremely quick in responding to emails, so professional and knowledgable in guiding me through the process of coming with with the exact wording/font/design. She was open to doing a kind of art deco font that she's never done before and then creating cool Southwestern designs - I loved the creativity and willingness to be open to new ideas! And boy did she deliver. These signs looked absolutely stunning. Do yourself a favor and have her do your wedding calligraphy/signage!

She was so organized and on top of everything that I didn't have to worry about a single thing that entire weekend... and trust me, I'm a total control freak so that's easier said than done! Another thing that I really appreciated about Jamie was that even though I only hired her for the day-of, she was totally accessible for the entire year leading up to the event. We hired CJN for the entire planning and up to day-of festivities and they rocked! From helping us pick out and hire several individual vendors, to taking care of our champagne at the reception (storing it, chilling it, and serving it (!)), they never let us stress! Things went so smoothly that I am completely convinced that there is no way we could have done it without them! At the end, we almost felt like we had UNDER-paid them, since they went above and beyond what we had expected. We live in the Bay Area and had our wedding on the Central Coast, so you can imagine the stress we would have had without CJN. EVERY minor detail, from each timeline detail, to the type of food we wanted for our rehearsal dinner, was handled by CJN. They never took over to the point that we didn't have a say, they just made sure that every single thing was handpicked by us, and they ran with it. The rehearsal, the planning, the ceremony, and the reception was so seamless that we were utterly elated at the end. And, this may sound silly, but Jamie was so quick to reply, and so detailed in her questions and tasks, that we will miss not working with her any longer and being in constant contact. Maybe we will have a big anniversary party in a few years, just so we can hire her again!
