    First batch. Smudged.
    Marissa B.

I was referred by a good friend and wanted to like the cookies I ordered but had to get them redone because they were not good. When I picked up the cookies we're still warm so the frosting smudged. The communication was nice at first but I had to send photos and let her know I wasn't happy. The order seemed rushed and very amateur to be honest. I appreciate her making them again but afterwards I didn't even get a "hope you come back or hope you liked the second batch" I had a family member pick up and even he said they weren't that nice. It was for a 50th birthday so I was disappointed. The 2nd batch definitely tasted and looked better but I wanted to like these a lot more than I did.

I ordered a dessert package with a cake, cake pops and cookies for my granddaughter's birthday and everything turned out adorable. My granddaughter was so happy with everything and the kids loved the cookies!

    Medium dessert package

We did medium dessert packages for our Wildflower themed baby shower and we had so many compliments on how pretty everything looked and tasted! Easy to communicate and coordinate with too!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Wendy! I reached out to her on very short notice for a custom cake for my sister's birtday, and not only did she deliver on time, but she completely exceeded my expectations. The cake was absolutely stunning--beautifully designed with such attention to detail. It wasn't just a cake, it was a true work of art. On top of that, it tasted as amazing as it looked, according to the birthday girl. Wendy is incredibly talented, professional, and clearly pours her heart into her creations. I feel so lucky to have found her and will definitely be coming back for all future celebrations!

Wendy and her family are a small, independent bakery that makes magical cakes and cookies and all sorts of delicious baled goods! I ordered a cake for 30 with a reptile/bug theme for my daughters 10th birthday. I also mentioned that she loves cats. I sent a couple reference pictures of what I was looking for. Honestly I expected her to quote me some outrageous price like every other bakery but I was floored when she gave me such a reasonable price! OMG how can she afford to do this!? The cake itself was magical AND delicious. My daughter got teary eyed when she saw the cake! Her husband who delivered the cake was such a sweetheart and took care of delivering and setting it up exactly where I wanted it. Over all this bakery is HIGHLY recommended!!!!!

So happy with this came! Wendy at Everafter bakery communicated quickly and she made exactly what we wanted. The cake looked exactly like the pic I sent her. We got the marble cake with chocolate buttercream and it was good. Would high recommend and will use again!!!

I know about Ever After Bakery from seeing them at the farmers market and a friend that using them for her daughters' parties. So, for my birthday, this is where I went. I did cookies because I knew a cake would be too much. This is now my go-to place, and I will be telling everyone I know.

I ordered a dozen custom LA Dodger and LA Lakers cookies for a family members birthday, they came out fantastic and taste fabulous! Wendy does a great job and is happy to do special themed orders, I give Ever After Bakery 10+ stars!

    Inspo pic + results

The inspo cake is what i sent as a referral picture and was told they could make it. The cake I received when I first picked it up was disappointing and sloppy. I told her I was not happy with it and she was nice enough to fix it up. She said that she only uses edible pictures, I don't understand why this was not made clear when I was ordering the cake that clearly had fondant. I wanted fondant, not paper that was peeling off the cake. The piping was a mess, I'm not sure what was going on with the corner. The paper banner looked super cheap. Overall it was poorly made and more stressful because I had to figure out a way to come back and pick it up while setting up for a party. The second time it looked better but even then the letters were sloppy and the fondant numbers were slipping off before we even cut it. So disappointing. Edit- she did not "discuss" the edible paper vs fondant issue with me when I was ordering this cake. I sent her a picture, she gave me quote and I paid her asap. There was no communication about the cake having to be done different for the quote I was given, I would've happily paid more. Super unprofessional.

Ever after bakery is phenomenal! I ordered Harry Potter themed cake. She sent me a few photos and I chose one. Cake was even better in person, taste was amazing. All of my guests were amazed by the cake. She responds messages quick enough and even delivered it too. Amazing service, delicious cake. Highly recommend! Will order my kids cake again next year for sure.

It was my first time ordering from EVER AFTER BAKERY - and it won't be my last. Communication was great. The look of the cake exceeded my expectations. The cookies were delicious and the cake pops a huge hit. Delivery was prompt. Couldn't be happier :-)

Fresh baked cherry pie and delicious!!

This is a family run business. Wendy bakes out of her home and has little Bake sales on her porch. The house is quirky, with funny weird decorations on the outside- nothing that you would imagine a bakery to be. And you don't go inside the house. Order a few days ahead and remind her on the day of because she gets booked with a lot of orders . Her son brings out your order. Her cherry pies are fresh out of the oven. A thin light crust with an incredibly tasty cherry filling.

    Tall slice of cake!

Off the charts awesome looking cake, and so so delicious. Will always order from here! Initially communicated through Instagram however, you can find her here on yelp or Google. I sent her a picture of a cake I found on Instagram for my daughters birthday and she was able to replicate it beyond what I imagined. Not only did it look really cool and matched our beach themed party perfectly, it was so delicious. Even fondant that to me is normally not good on other cakes, it was so good. The buttercream, the cake itself... very yummy. So many compliments! Definitely worth the price.

Their flavor combinations are unique, everything is always fresh, and the quality is consistently outstanding. These are easily the best pastries I've ever had. Their French macarons deserve a special mention. I've never really been a fan because, in my experience, most places don't get the texture right. But this place completely changed my mind. Every flavor I've tried has been amazing. The shells have the perfect texture, and the fillings are packed with flavor. I even traveled throughout Europe recently and made it a point to try macarons everywhere I went, just to see how they compared. Surprisingly, not a single place came close. They also do a great job of keeping things fresh by regularly adding new pastries and seasonal items to the menu, so it's worth checking their website before you visit to see what's new. I recently saw them featured on the Food Network, and after eating here so many times, it's easy to see why. They truly know what they're doing. I can't recommend this bakery enough. Whether you're stopping in for pastries or macarons, you really can't go wrong.

Not only do they look stunning, but they taste just as good. Every pastry had a light, balanced sweetness and layers of flavor that made each bite worth savoring. The textures were also spot on, from the delicate mousse to the crisp outer shells. If you're looking for a unique dessert experience or want to impress someone with pastries that are almost too pretty to eat, Artelice is definitely worth a visit.

I stopped by Sunday around 1 to pick up some pastries on my way to a friend's house. It's located in a plaza with a small parking lot. First thing you notice when you step in is that they have a lot of cakes on display. There's no seating either, it's strictly a grab and go place. Both times I came, someone was picking up a cake ahead of me, so that's definitely what to get here. I asked the cashier, and she said that you can either call or came in person to place a cake order. You can also come by and pick up one of their ready made cakes. Will keep this place in mind for the future. I picked up a number of pastries and tried some of them at my friend's place. Here's what I tried: Slice of vanilla roll cake ($2) - very moist but not much cream Almond croissant ($3.50) - loved the almond filling Sponge cake ($2.75) - delicious! Almond cookie ($0.35 each) - tastes exactly like the almond cookies I ate growing up Cream puff ($2) - this was the only thing I didn't like. The puff layers on both the top and bottom were dry Next time I need a cake, I know where to get it!

They make daily, from-scratch pastries in small batches, ranging from mochi donuts, butter croissants, and custard-filled donuts to fresh baguette sandwiches, salads, and tons of drink selections like fresh juices, mineral waters, and lattes. The service is super friendly and incredibly fast. The system is so fun and easy: you just walk in, grab a tray and a pair of tongs, handpick your desired pastries, and head to the front. You can eat there or take them to go in a box. If you order a sandwich, they can heat it up on-site for you so you get a cheesy, warm, toasty meal. For this visit, we tried: World Cup Special Donut: A custard-filled donut topped with chocolate and shaped like a soccer ball in honor of the World Cup going on right now. The egg custard filling was so addictive and creamy--absolutely amazing! Almond Croissant: Stuffed with almond paste, covered in buttery, toasted almond slices, and dusted with powdered sugar. The flavor was fantastic! The inside could have been just a tiny bit more moist, and I always wish for more of that delicious almond filling, but it was still extremely flavorful. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Sitting outside is especially nice since you're facing busy Ventura Boulevard, making it a perfect spot to shade-sit and people-watch. Plus, it's located in a great shopping plaza, so there's plenty of parking. My only critique is that it is definitely a little overpriced, making it more of a "once-in-a-while" treat rather than a daily habit. Still, it's a truly fantastic spot if you want high-quality, fresh-baked bread and pastries~~~
