Service is always attentive. Sign says no animals allowed. A little bummer since I'd love to bring them inside when grabbing food to go. There was a young man at the counter who welcomed us with a wonderful smile. He said his name is Said (pronounced Sa-eed) and asked if it was our first time here. We said it was, so he offered to give us some samples of their most popular bake goods. He said it is made of light custard and it's called soft cake and it is traditional pastry from his country in Uzbekistan that his mother bakes all from scratch. In Asia we also don't like overly sweet cakes so we thought it sounded to fit our taste preferences. And we loved it after trying! My mom said it tastes very similar to the cake she had back in Seoul in her childhood she misses fondly, but she could never have that same taste. Just a little sweeter. But the custard and texture of the cake is just the same. We also got the eclair. And it was pretty good too. But definitely recommend the soft cake!! Sooo yummyyy!! I also got the strawberry cold foam matcha latte and my mom got a small americano coffee. She said it's the best coffee she had in a cafe. Of course superb compared to Starbucks or any other coffee franchise. She says American coffee shops always burn their beans so it tastes burnt, but this place roasted the beans just right. And we also loved the strawberry cold foam matcha. I don't know how, but it tasted like really strawberry was in the drink!! My mom said it's the best strawberry milk she ever had here and in Korea! Some of these cafes take forever to make your drinks, even Starbucks makes you wait 20 minutes! These other coffee shops make it seem like they're doing some complex chemistry experiment how long it takes for just a drink! But this young guy he makes the drink in under 5 min and it tastes 10x better anything those other coffee shops make, but in less than half the time! I really thought maybe it was really hard making drinks, but this young dude makes it look like a walk in the park, the speed and ease he cranks out the drinks. I think Uzbekistan people must be just built different! and he was also so kind and pleasant taking the time to explain and answer all our questions. Some of these other places wouldn't even bother or make it feel like you're pulling a nail from them the way they grimace. He was so nice we wanted to give a tip, but he even said he didn't want us to. He'd happily accept just our enjoying the food and drinks and would appreciate if we left a review for his cafe. just had to leave a review. Especially after how nice he is. And hearing his story and how it's a family run bakery with the mom baking and son making drinks and running front counter. And an authentic European bakery!! Wow! Aren't we so glad they moved into our neighborhood! A Real quality cafe I didn't even know what I was missing until I stepped into this little shop by mere chance! I Will definitely come by again. I have no particular interest in that. As far as service, its alway fairly busy, but line moves fairly fast. The staff has morfed to mostly very young counter people that have zero interpersonal skills and are not friendly. The only warmth you will get here is freshly baked Challah. Still worth a visit.

I don't usually review places, but I had to review this one, and especially after the foul-mouthed review by Erika V, whoever she is. This place is awesome. They make the best cakes and cupcakes in town. As for the decorating and writing on the cakes, I have never had a problem with anything from Bella Donna. I have been a long-time customer, so I think I have a better perspective than Erika does. Every single cake I have had done there is above and beyond what I expected. The taste is the best around. The buttercream icing is REAL buttercream icing, and the cakes and cupcakes are always moist. If you want to judge for youself the decorating and design of the cakes, check out their Facebook page "Bella Donna's Bakery", and look at the photos. I think you will see that Erika really doesn't know just how good these people are. They are also Top notch caterers, who are busy enough that the Bakery can only be openned Thurs-Saturday right now, so if you need a great cake, or cupcakes, give them a call, or go in and visit. I just had one of their cakes a couple of days ago, and I highly recommend them. Wow.....see....a great review, and not and 'F" word in the mix. 12/3/2013 - I wanted to add to my review of this place, as I have been there often since they opened. I have never had a bad experience here. Everyone is very friendly. The cupcakes are always fresh. The brownies....WOW. I don't even know where to begin with explaining how amazing my experience was with Bella Donna Special Events. I knew I wanted to throw my daughter a tea party to be remembered for her first birthday and wanted a little help. From the moment I called Donna the experience was 5 star all the way through. She took my ideas and added her own special touch and it was amazing!! I am sure the queen of England would have approved of our high tea! I'm always the type to worry about details and what if the food doesn't taste good or not enough etc. But believe me EVERYTHING Donna suggested and her team made was out of this world delicious. We had about 80 guests and they were stuffed and all raved about the food. We had amazing hors d'oeuvres, English sandwiches, pasta, salads and even a crepe station. It was beautifully displayed and such a hit. Donna helped with everything from decor, rentals, drinks and of course the menu. The food and the day of her staff made it so easy. I never enjoying hosting a party as much as this one. I was able to relax and be taken care of as well. Her staff were kind, sweet and very attentive to everyone. I cannot say enough how FANTASTIC the food was! Donna catered my daughter's baby shower and everything was wonderful! We had a tea party - so Donna supplied the tea sandwiches, scones, pasta salad.
