Driver 1121 This…read moremorning my fiance saw on Facebook that there was a beaver stuck in one of the sewer systems drain address of 99th and 6th place se in lake Stevens. We showed up to try and help and no one was there so we started checking out the drains in that area. During our search a city truck with sewer department on the side stopped and asked what we were doing. (Totally ok to do so). We explained what we were doing but then the driver started getting aggressive and we told him to just leave cause he was refusing to help us and only wanted to make stupid comments like "just let it die beavers don't matter. He then drove down the street because I told him to just leave because he was not helping but he then said to me F off and drove away. I then flipped him off and then 5 times after that just kept going back and forth down the street and each time when he passed he would talk shit then drive away. That's harrasment and pretty sad coming from a city employee who is paid by tax payer money to entice a fight over a beaver stuck in a drain. I care more about animals than people and will always do anything I can to help them. He also got pissy that I took the drain cover off. Then shortly after animal control drove by and I tried to stop them but they just kept going and didn't care even though the person who made post on FB said no one from the city could help. Next time we will handle ourselves and if any city person comes out I will tell them to leave and to go sit on their butt somewhere eating hostess doughnuts and chocolate milk. I don't appreciate the lack of respect from a city employee and expect better. The person who drives 1121 needs to be fired cause harrasment of civilians is also illegal. Have already escalated this to the is department and to the police department for not at all helping and being aggressive and don't care at all about animals. Saying the beaver should just die shows your a cold hearted person who hates animals and likely abuse them to. Hope this guys doesn't own any animals cause if he does I would feel terrible for the animals with someone who tells people to just let the animal die. Ya then have the beaver get stuck in a drain and cause a bigger issue? Completely shocked how stupid and incompetent people are now days. Do better city of lake Stevens don't hire a$$hats to work a job paid by the community. SMH

I would not apply here. It is a workplace, full of cronyism, favoritism, sexism, racism & ageism…read more I have a longtime friend who is an officer. He has been on the force for years. He was purposely moved to a less than ideal shift because they' are trying to force him to retire. That is not an assumption. He is not the only officer to be targeted. There are several lawsuits pending where officers are alleging discrimination. Deanna Nollette, gender/sex discrimination. Denise "Cookie" Bouldin, race and gender discrimination, settled for $750,000 in February 2026. Eric Greening, racial discrimination and retaliation. This was settled in 2025 for nearly $1 million. John O'Neil, racial discrimination and retaliation. Settled in August 2025. Lauren Truscott, Valerie Carson, Kame Spencer and Judinna Gulpan: four women who sued together alleging sexual harassment, gender discrimination and hostile-work-environment claims. Their case settled for $2.6 million in June 2026. I do wonder if the entire workplace is poisoned based on these lawsuits.
