Go online to make an appointment in August and their next available appointment is October?!? So I do the next best thing. Get there first thing before they open. I got there, well a little too early. Thought they opened at 8, so I got there at 745. No one there. Then I look and they open at 9. So I leave and find some place to go to the bathroom and return about 45 minutes before they opened. There were about 7 people in line so I rushed down to be #8. Sat and waited until they opened at 9. A lady comes out and says we have 60 open appointments today, there are no walk ups. She goes through the line handing out QR codes to scan and schedule. Guess what, since I had been on it earlier in the morning it automatically locked me out. People from the back of the line(which was well over 50 people deep were able to schedule and walk into 9am appointments. No signage or any of that. Guess getting up and being early or even being proactive gets you nowhere anymore. Couldn't even renew my license online, don't know why. Just said I wasn't eligible. This system is broke and this whole thing is a joke. So now I will be getting online at 9 am every morning hoping I can get an appointment soon. Good thing my license expires in a few days. They should send you a reminder a year before your license expires and have a scheduled date attached to it. If you miss it, it's on you. But if you make it, well that a way for this dumb system to improve a little better. We're all busy, and though I'd did know I was coming up on expired, no one told me the shit show of renewing. Go back to the old days, or open more facilities. Shouldn't even be a 1 star.

Every single person I encountered was pleasant, had a sense of humor, and gave a &^@#% about not taking up my entire day. I've never experienced that in a government run office before. First, I was given wrong information from (name I forgot, sorry!) regarding release of information. She told me to look it up online. Okay, lazybones, I know it is not available online and I have to contact the courthouse. Sorry to interrupt your game of computer solitaire! Again she tried to deny me (I'm honestly beginning to wonder if she got paid off, I find her behavior so odd...why this delay? Is she seriously that lazy) So I called the courthouse on my cell phone when I was standing right in front of her, and the lady behind her answered. This is the only way to get things done; you have to both *be there* and call them at the same time. The same information I was able to get from the Everett Division in about 60 seconds, and I would imagine that is a much busier court. and that is the sad thing. at least their employees are competent. However, most of the cases were filed in this court, so I have to deal with them regarding release of information. It would've been helpful to learn that the person I was filing against was a convicted criminal, but they denied me that information. Thanks, but no thanks S Division. Explain it to Jesus on judgement day!!

These chairs were unexpectedly excellent. Firm enough to feel supportive, but not so firm that you start questioning every decision that led you to a government office. The backrest had a reassuring angle, the seat offered respectable cushioning, and the armrests provided just enough structure to make the wait feel official without becoming punitive. I had prepared myself for the classic plastic-chair experience: stiff posture, numb legs, and a growing awareness of time itself. Instead, I found myself comfortably seated, holding my paperwork and thinking, "Honestly, I could do another ten minutes." The whole experience was straightforward, surprisingly painless, and made me feel extremely responsible. The staff were helpful, the process was smooth, and I walked in as a regular person and left as someone officially prepared to cross borders by land or sea. Five stars for efficient service, quietly exceptional waiting-room furniture, and helping me complete an important adult errand without turning it into a full-day side quest.

Last month, I went in for a walk-in license renewal that needed to be done in person. I arrived about 15 minutes before opening, and although there was already a line, they had an employee outside checking in with people to make sure everyone was in the right place and knew whether they needed to stay in line. From the moment they opened, I was in and out in less than 35 minutes. If that's not efficiency, I don't know what is! I can't speak for every service they offer, but based on my experience, I really appreciate the staff and how well they run things. Big bonus, they have ample parking!

When I walked in all three service counters were occupied with a customer. I waited for about four minutes to be served. The lady was really nice and really helpful. It took about five minutes to obtain my new vehicle tags. They have a surcharge for those who use credit cards. Check out their website for details. They also offer a separate door on the far right of the building for those who want to pick up their tags which can be requested via their website. They make it easy. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I was a victim of domestic violence and through the Covid pandemic. I've gotten to know the VA Police Department very well on various levels. There was an officer that assaulted me when I was having a depressive moment in my life from domestic abuse walking outside from the park to towards Baskin-Robbins. There was a nosy neighbor with a dog that thought I was trying to vandalize cars, and I wasn't. I had a rock in my hands to throw it in a puddle. It splashed, and the water splashed on the car tire. Unfortunately the witness had his facts wrong and he couldn't see because it was dark. The next thing I know he pulls out his phone to call 911 and have the police arrest me. One male police officer, and two females approximately, threw me to the ground, handcuffed me, and started yelling at me as I was crying. The police officer was so excited about getting me upset. He said I'm taking a picture of you and he pulled out his phone and put my face in the phone to take a picture. The women were on board with this and said nothing. The next thing I know they told me I was resisting a rest, and they were concerned, even though I was telling them my side of the story. My mother was so concerned she called the police department, and the officer told her that I was resisting arrest, and I was not intoxicated. I was thrown in the back of their ambulance and four point restraints and taken into an area of holding area as I was stripped naked as they watched and then they told me not to move around because I'm under video and they do not want to see my body parts. However, when I'm feeling attacked, I move around and now they're uncomfortable with me being in four-point restraints as my clothes were being ripped off of me. I also had concerns about both the police working with CPS and heritage Christian Academy in partnership. The communication between these three different entities was a breakdown moment. I was not shocked and surprised how I was treated that night being arrested in front of Baskin-Robbins and thrown in four point restraints by three cops. I still think about it every day because it was an assault. It was abuse. It was an abusive power. I tried to report it and receive police reports, and there was no response. Police officers are above the law. I will not call the police again and I will not work in their jurisdiction because I don't trust these cops anymore. I will not work with people. I do not trust. I do not hang out now in Bothell proper so I can avoid them like the plague. I do not want trouble with the cops. I do not need their judgment and I do not appreciate them hurting me as I have bruises all over my body from that night. They left me in four point with restraint on a gurney in solitary being monitored with no food and water again. The cops, the cop left their chest held high shaking their fist. I'm a hero. I'm a hero. However, they did not spend the night in solitary naked in four point streets on a small gurney. In the military, we trained for that we trained for the opposition we trained for what it feels like to be captured. I would like to see both the police and Kirkland police work together too be in my shoes. I would like to see them assaulted by four or five cops so they can understand what it feels like to get really arrest, arrested and their local community not Justin The academy but real time. I would like to see both the police do some cross training with the big boys in Seattle proper and the real big boys in Stockton and Modesto, California. These men, these police officers in those areas know how to triage petty versus real. My understanding with Kirkland in Bothell police they're meeting ticket quotas and a rest quotas and that is just my opinion I understand they like PR opportunities as well as I observed and worked with these people and partnership as well as being a victim of abuse. I reached out to the both police department to express my concerns and there was no response so that's why I'm writing this today. I needed to get this off my chest to move forward in my healing. I hope one day that I can trust a police officer again.

A beautiful sight along the Everett shoreline. The majestic sight of Navy warships along the pier…read morereminds you of the awesome power that is right here in the Puget Sound. For those who can access the base, there is a small Navy Exchange and barber shop for your essentials. There is a robust MWR office and marina here. You can rent recreational equipment and get discount tickets. There is a pretty impressive single sailor program to keep you entertained and occupied in your spare time. All in all, a nice smaller surface ship base.

As I have literally been on every Navy base in the world I can say without a doubt this base is…read morepretty nice looking. Every time I come here it reminds me of a college campus. The all brick buildings with green roofs is what gives me that impression. Most bases have random looking buildings scattered throughout the base. They appear to have ample parking which considering this is a carrier base is unusual. The base admin buildings are easy to find and they have a decent amount of direction signs to help you find sites. What is lacking is with the Exchange. It was on the puny side and had minimal items for sale. I was surprised for the amount of people that can be at the base they the NEX would be so small. The food court is sad and despite being here on numerous occasions I always eat out in town.
