Both my friend and I felt incredibly welcomed and a lack of judgement. It was a refreshing experience and I don't know why I was surprised. Maurices makes cute clothes for a variety of body types and sizes, and they recognize that everyone has a right to feel fabulous. Sara hooked me up with a dressing room so I could free up my arms for my items. Another girl took the next batch and I was soon on my way to the fitting room to try on the 10+ items I found. While I loved everything, I narrowed it down and went to checkout. No empathy. No flexibility. No effort. Just a cold, policy-over-people "no." They designed and made a pendant for me from diamonds that I already had (hard to see the detail from the photo) and my mother-in-law had them designed and make a ring from a bunch of loose diamonds that turned out stunning!
