I've been to Evergreen Cleaners a couple times and each time really impressed by the work done and the wonderful owner, Nanette! I brought in a project for Nanette that I thought was doomed from the start. A 10 year old wedding dress with 10 year old sweat stains. Nanette was very honest and didn't want to get my hopes up since the stains had settled into the fabric. I understood the chances weren't in my favor but went ahead and had Nanette see what could be done. I was called a couple days later surprised my dress was already done! I went to pick it up and WOW the stains are gone! I'm SO impressed! I know Nanette worked so hard to get my dress looking amazing but does she also have magical powers?! read more

This place has amazing service and attention to detail! The owner literally just saved me from total disaster! I'm getting married in 48 hours and needed to adjust my tux pants. My sister told me about this dry cleaning place about a month ago. I use to drive 20 min to a place near my moms house in Glendale. I never got a warm feeling and the quality was just ok. One day we decided to come here and drop off some items that I needed dry cleaned. I needed them for an important interview. The owner was very nice and friendly to both me and my sister. We dropped off the clothing on a Wednesday and I didn't need them until the following week on Monday. I was in the neighborhood and came by on a Saturday to check and see if they were available, sure enough they were ready. The owner was so nice to even wish me good luck on my interview. I've taken 2 pair of expensive jeans here with giant holes in them that I was ready to throw in the trash. I'm not exactly sure what kind of voodoo witchcraft they're using here but for $10 each she was able to completely salvage them. I can hardly tell where they were repaired. I came in last minute before a vacation and Ms. evergreen (owner I forgot her name) was the sweeeeetest lady ever! I had purchased a new pair of shorts with a cutoff design but they were too long, she said the design couldn't be re-attached and I agreed as long as she tailored them to my size. When I got back, she surprised me by having the designed attached!!! The shorts were new with tags and she said the reason I had paid so much was because of the design so she took the time to make sure I can keep it and have it tailored to my size!! This woman is a FRAUD! I am not going to continue to read her response because she is a LIAR. I wouldn't go back to this place if you paid me!! Instead I am going to expand on what happened the day I went. I have TEXT MESSAGES and credit card receipts to PROVE that she is a LIAR AND A FRAUD! Please keep in mind that I am a 2nd grade teacher and I teach my students about honesty, respect, responsibility, taking ownership, having a growth mindset. This woman's behavior disturbed me because it goes against everything I stand for. About a week before Thurs. December 5th, I took two "7 For All Mankind" jeans and a coat to this cleaner. The jeans were the same just in different shades. I had recently lost weight so I donated almost all my jeans to "Midnight Mission" in Downtown LA (I got receipts). I had one left but it had many holes and was not appropriate to wear to school. She said my jeans would be ready by Tuesday. I went back on Tuesday and she said they wouldn't be ready because her machine broke down. She was apologetic about it. I explained to her though that Fridays was my casual day and I didn't have any jeans to wear to school (except for the one full of holes). I asked if she could please rush the fixing of the machine so I could have something to wear on Friday. She texted me (I have the text) saying that my jeans were ready on Thursday Dec 5th. I went to pick up the jeans that same day. I wore one the next day to school and realized she had HEMMED THEM TOO SHORT. The following Friday I wore the other jeans and they were 3 inches too long. That's when I realized that SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE IS DOING!! I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I was so busy planning a Christmas party and presentation for my students and their parents though that I didn't go back till December 23rd to ask her what happened. That is not more than a month like she claims. LIAR! When I went back my intention was not to shame her, I just asked her if she could please fix my jeans. I teach my students that everyone makes mistakes and that the important thing is to have a "growth mindset" and just fix them! Therefore I told her to undo the hem and that I would even be okay with an unfinished hem as long as I could wear them without looking ridiculous. She looked at them and started figuring out how she could fix it. She said, "But I measured them on you and this is the length you said you wanted them." That's when I showed her the other jeans and said, "If that's the length I said, why are these other jeans 3 inches longer than the other?" I could see I rattled her so she right away said, "THIS IS NOT MY THREAD, I NEVER WORKED ON THESE JEANS. I WOULD RECOGNIZE THE THREAD AND I DON'T HAVE A THREAD THIS COLOR." How absurd is that excuse?? So she has some special magical thread that nobody else has??? Could you imagine how one would feel??? I have never felt so taken advanced of and disrespected! I explained that these are the only jeans I owned and that she worked on them. She still stuck to her lie. These are over $100 jeans and one of them is ruined and this moron claims she can recognize that that's not her thread??? I don't care about the money though. It's the principle at hand. How hard was it for her to say apologize and fix her mistake. Sad. I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone though so that's why I am writing this review and update! I am not going read or respond to anymore of her responses. What for?? She is just going to try to dig herself out of hole and continue to deceive people. I learned my lesson. Never go back to this place. I hope she learns that she shouldn't lie and swindle people. That's a lesson she should have learned a long time ago. I said it before and I will say it again-SHE'S A LIAR, AND A FRAUD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS LONG AS SHE IS THERE. read more
