I've been going to Jean's cleaners since I've been old enough to get things Drycleaned...LOL...before that, my mother has patroned this cleaners as well. The prices have gone up over the years, but what do you expect...it's a sign of the times. The woman who owns this cleaners is an older Korean woman. She has classical music playing in the background, and often times will have her cute puppy in a corner of the store. She is ALWAYS friendly and wants to get your drycleaning back to you as soon as possible. I've gone to her for alterations and she has always been so sweet. I have been going to Jean's cleaners since last year when my husband and I moved into burbank. Her prices are reasonable and a little pricer you get what you pay for. She's very professional and tries to get your dresses, shirts, pants cleaned promptly. Any time I have asked her to get me the cloths back in time for an event she goes out of her way and does it without charging you extra! Love this place I give them 5 stars. I've gone to a lot of dry-cleaners in the past several years and I did some comparison shopping on price before deciding on Jean's Non-Toxic Cleaners. I started bringing my clothes prior to the current ownership, and I've been very happy with the service both prior to that and now. The cost is lower than a lot of other dry-cleaners in the Burbank, North Hollywood and Studio City areas which offer comparable service. I like that they do not use perc or other toxic cleaning chemicals. Although I'm sure it's not the best on the environmental spectrum, it's certainly a big improvement on the older methods. The best thing about this business is that Sunni brings my dry-cleaning out more often than not when she sees my car pull up and before I even get inside. (Now this is before the recent addition of the puppy so we'll see if that continues!) They also accept hangers and skirt pins when I bring them back for recycling. They also do not put any plastic wrap over my clothes by special request so I don't have to deal with that recycling/waste problem from acquiring plastic bags every week. They've never forgot this, and I rarely am there when Sunni is not working, so that demonstrates quite a work ethic. I recycle the paper overlays myself in my mixed paper bin at home. I've had hemming done there and it was also just fine. And I get my duvet covers and sheets pressed for a reasonable price. This is a no-nonsense place where you can get your dry-cleaning done, with friendly service and no headaches. I've never had any problems with any order and they have been honest whenever there was a mistake on price. The only caution I can give is they really do not specialize in treating stains because they always say there's a chance on damaging fabric, so I take my stained clothing elsewhere. On the other hand, I've never had anything damaged either. Luckily, I don't require stain treatment very often, otherwise they are my go-to place. I was generally happy with the dry cleaning service. The laundry service is very slow. All was well until a couple of items weren't returned to me upon retrieving our wash and fold. We inventory out laundry before dropping off every time just in case something is missing. I can sometimes make a mistake, I'm sure of it. But, I asked about the two items on our next drop off, was quickly told " I gave you everything back". I said ok, well we are missing two items , very quickly she told me again that " No, I give everything back" . I said , ok , well there is a mistake this time, this time you didn't. And again she says " no, I give everything back". Bad customer service skills. The two items aren't really a big deal, all I really wanted was for them to say something to the affect that, whoops maybe it is possible to make a mistake and they would keep a eye out for them. That would have been fine with me, even if they were never found. DO NOT approach you customers with the attitude that you are infallible. This is a wonderful little business. We've been bringing our dry-cleaning and tailoring here for at least 9 years. They have never lost or damaged any item out of all the years!! And my husband brings his work shirts there every week for hand-laundering and ironing and they are always on-time and perfectly pressed. I've brought clothes there and asked for rush hemming and stuff like that and Eunice is an ANGEL. She has never said "no" to my request and i've brought armloads of new clothes with tags still on them and asked that they all be hemmed or altered in some way on a rush basis for a trip.
