I don't even know where to begin. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr.Youngblood unfortunately not the same for Dr. dharmini. She is refusing to give me my records, has blocked Dr. Youngblood from accessing them which is crazy because I was his patient not hers. She is extremely unprofessional when I spoke with her. Her staff are very rude and were talking about me and saying my name very loud. They don't have a front desk anymore. I also know she isn't supposed to be withholding my records as I'm still a patient at evergreen even though I only saw Dr.Youngblood my records don't move with him to his new location. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL will be talking with lawyers and the board. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!! read more

Dr. Youngblood is excellent! He has taken outstanding care of me and my wife for at least 10 years and we have always been extremely impressed with his work. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate, always going the extra mile for us. When my wife had a challenging diagnosis, he bent over backwards to make sure she was taken care of in every way possible. We can't thank him enough for all he has done for us. We just moved out of the area and can only hope we get another dentist that is close to how well he has much he has done for us and how he has consistently treated us over multiple years. Thanks! Stay away from this dentist. Dr. Youngblood repeatedly pressured me to get very expensive procedures that my insurance would not cover. Then he double billed me on a teeth cleaning visit. I paid once at his office the day of the procedure and then recieved a bill in the mail. A month after notifying his office of the double billing, a received another bill. There are plenty of honest dentists out there, there is no need to go to this crook. read more

The office staff is very warm and welcoming. Dr. Youngblood really cares for his patients. He makes sure you are comfortable. He takes his time to make sure you understand what he is doing and why. It's taken me years to write this review but I think it's important for people to be aware of. After my first cavity filling with Dr. Youngblood I experienced excruciating pain like I never have before. He insisted I had a sinus infection that caused the pain. A few months later I was diagnosed with a rare condition called trigeminal neuralgia. I avoided the dentist for years because of the trauma it caused. I returned a couple years later with pain in another tooth and Dr. Youngblood suggested the trigeminal neuralgia had spread and that I should have all my teeth pulled (this is the worst thing you can do if you have TN). I again avoided the dentist for years after that. I just recently had work done to repair the infection that Dr. Youngblood caused by drilling too deep in that initial cavity filling. It was there for 7 years! I'm not sure why another dentist found it on the first appointment but Dr. Youngblood didn't. The new dentist was concerned about the amount of anesthetic Dr. Youngblood used on me and showed me a study from the National Health Institute that shows excessive use of anesthesia during dental procedures has been linked to trigeminal neuralgia. Not only did he cause years of agony and suffering but his office also overcharged me for services. I strongly recommend getting another opinion for any services recommended by Dr. Youngblood. Call your insurance to make sure they aren't overcharging you. And don't trust his diagnosis, the trigeminal neuralgia did not spread and the "sinus infection" was caused by him. He comes off very friendly but I don't trust his lack of transparency. Would not recommend to anyone! Best dentist around hands down. The crowns I had done are phenomenal. Dr. Youngblood is an expert. I had 2 crowns don't elsewhere and haven't been able to eat on my left side for 2 years now. The crowns that Youngblood did have never caused me pain and thankfully because of his excellent work I'm still able to at least use my right side of my mouth for eating. Terrible people. I will never forgive this dentist for what she put us through. Liar!!!! Over treated my kid and gave full a anesthesia and never let my kid get stable before she shooed out of her office and sent us home. I wonder how they are still operating. She put us parents and our kid through so much. Save your self and do not go to this place. All their 5 stars reviews must be fake. Do some research. This dentist and her husband were mentioned in many of the reviews even before their clinic was opened. Reviews were written for 5 stars praising them. And guess what!! The reviews were written under the business where they worked before. My gut was telling me something but our bad luck. We already had another bad dentist experience and blindly trusted these people. I cannot get my self to explain all of what happened. I will simply say, AVOID this place. If I had the $ and energy, I would have gone the legal route. Just stay away. My husband and I were in need of a dentist. A friend from work recommended Evergreen Family Dentistry. We were so glad he did! Due to issues with previous dentists, it had been some time since we had visited a dentist. We found Dr Youngblood and his staff to be kind and empathetic with no judgements. He laid out a treatment plan with an emphasis to take care of issues causing pain first. There was never any pressure and we could proceed as we were comfortable. Very unethical and does over treatment. My kid was claimed to have 4 cavities and they wanted to do filling on all 4. They also said they can give full anesthesia so that my child won't know anything. After I heard the "full anesthesia", I had my instinct kick in. No dentists would do that to a 5yr old. So I decided to get a second opinion. This new dentist saw only 1 that needed filling (with another X-ray) and one more , that they wanted to keep an eye on but does not need filling. I did a third opinion so that I don't mistake. It turned out to be only one cavity. We are out of there and would not recommend anyone. read more

I have gone to many dentists over the years, and I have never had such a terrible experience as I did with Dr. Youngblood. Before I go into my experience, here is some background on me. I am a professional that works at Nike, has a masters degree, and a comfortable salary. I am not an unemployed, uneducated, or gullible patient nor am I bound financially to stick with a crappy dentist. My experience: Front desk/scheduling girls- super nice, great experience Lobby- super clean, comfortable, very modern X-Ray tech/hygenist- super nice, great experience Dentist- Flat out liar. I have regularly gone to a dentist every 6-9 months for 28 years of my life. Typically when I go to the dentist I am told I have one or two spots to look out for, keep up the brushing, and then maybe every other year I have a cavity that needs to be filled. What did Dr. Youngblood tell me? That I have about 6-8 spots that need looking after, and that I have 3-4 cavities that need to be filled with one that might even need a root canal. When he did my periodontal chart, I had SO MANY teeth that feel into the 5-6MM range when I have never had a dentist tell me anything except I am in the 1-3MM range. I have not changed my brushing/flossing routine in the last 5 years, which is done in the morning and at night. And he critiqued every one of my prior fillings, indicating that I went to incompetent dentists (which I assure you, I did not). Apparently, I went from having flawless teeth last year to the nightmare he described above. Yeah, that's a prime example of a super shady dentist. He also refused to listen to me (or let me talk) and obviously has issues reading people. Did I need a speal on veneers? Nope. Did I need to be mansplained on periodontal disease? Sure didn't. Also, I have cosmetic bonding on my front teeth. Nothing crazy, but I just let the hygienist and the dentist know before I go in so they don't pick like crazy at my front teeth trying to figure out what it is (this is not an issue at my regular dentist). He made the biggest deal about it when all I said was I just wanted to give them a heads up. He was not gentle during the exam, so I kept putting my hands to my face which he took as me thinking it was super fragile. No, you were just not being gentle at all Dr. Youngblood and I felt like you were being rough to prove a point. The only reason I went to Evergreen Family Dental is that my husband and I decided he would carry the insurance this year, and my insurance changed. I didn't realize how bad my new insurance was until I tried to use it. My regular dentist, nor any of the top dental practices in portland accepted it. My only options? Gentle Dental, Perledent Dental Care, or Evergreen Family Dental. Well, the first two are the McDonalds of the dental world which is why I tried Evergreen. However, I now know why it is lumped in with this class of dental practices. I had my X-Rays sent to my regular dentist, and she will give me her opinion in the next few days. I have a hunch she will tell me I am just fine, but I will provide an update when she does. So, long story short, only go here if you need unnecessary work and love to be mansplained every little thing. I assure you, you will. **UPDATE** I went to Hillsboro Modern Dentistry (they were amazing), and low and behold I have no cavities. My periodontal test fell in the 1-3MM range, and I have a completely healthy mouth that needs NO work. Be very wary if you go to Evergreen Family Dental. read more

Amazing. I took my kids in today for their yearly check-up and cleaning and my oldest needed an orthodontics evaluation. This was the first dentist visit for my youngest and everyone made her feel so comfortable that she left the office saying she had the best time at the dentist! I spent the entire appointment talking to both Dr. Youngblood and Dr. Dharmini about EVERYTHING. This is a "one stop shop" for my family because they handle general, pediatric, and orthodontic dentistry under one roof so no more multiple office visits for us! Dr. Youngblood and Dr. Dharmini are some of the nicest people I've ever met and incredibly knowledgeable in their field. I knew that my kids had their full attention and I never felt rushed. The best part was that I never got pressured into getting unnecessary procedures and they've earned my trust. All costs were itemized and there were no surprises. Loved the front desk staff and the dental assistants that helped my girls feel comfortable during their visit. After experiencing how great dentists work, I refuse to settle for big corporation dentistry ever again. Beware of Dr.Youngblood. I had multiple bad experiences and continued going there as my kids were also going there and it was easier for our family to go to one dental office. A year back, I had a cavity filling and he left my mouth so bruised, it took more than a month to heal. Next time I told him how painful it was and he was much gentler. So, it's not like he doesn't know how to be gentle in the first place. Fast forward to last month, he told me I needed another filling. Even after 3 weeks, I had pain and sensitivity in the tooth he did the filling on( Note: I had no issues with this tooth earlier, I went for routine cleaning, they took X-rays and said I needed a filling). Went to the office and his solution to the issue was to extract my wisdom teeth(All 4 of them when that wasn't even the tooth he did the filling on). Not sure if he is getting any commissions for extractions but he suggests extracting perfectly good wisdom teeth for no reason. He covers up his lack of competency by talking too much. I don't suggest this practice for adults although the pediatric section(Dr.Dharmini) is quiet good. read more

The middle word in their practice is key, as it is obvious in the atmosphere. Both doctors are skilled, professional, and cordial. The office is always relaxed, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Dr. Y is consistently painless, efficient, and thorough, and has never tried to push me toward procedures which might be unnecessary and more expensive. Their tech assistants and office staff are experienced, friendly, and first rate (not to mention attractive). The best dentist team you can find! They are amazing!!! Dr. Dharmini Pathmanathan is so sweet & kind! She works amazingly with children, making sure they feel safe & comfortable. Dr. Derek Youngblood is also great with kids! You can tell they truly care about family and want kids to have a positive dentist experience! They both are very friendly, welcoming, professional, & will make sure sure you know exactly what to expect and what exactly what you are paying for with no confusion! The staff are also very upbeat, friendly, and helpful! And I love the fact that its a family clinic run by an awesome family!
