On Feb 19th, I bought ground sirloin and salmon from HEB Sugar Land (it shows as store #627 on my…read morebank statement). Went to cook them today, and both were spoiled. This is the third time I've bought protein that was spoiled, from this location. The ground sirloin looked perfectly red on the outside but the inside was completely gray. The same thing happened with a package of ground chuck I previously purchased at this location. The salmon looked fine, wasn't slimy, and didn't smell while it was raw. But as it cooked, it smelled weird. I finished cooking it and (reluctantly) tried it, and it tasted just as weird as it smelled. I tossed both in the trash and called for a refund, which I can't get until I go back into the store

I absolutely LUUV H-E-B!…read more Who still shops at Walmart for their grocery needs? Why? Walmart veggies go bad with 24 hours and you can see mold. Now don't try and compare and say Fiesta because no comparison not same level and I'm not going to waste my tap, tap on my iPhone or my thinking abilities to debate..Fiesta's meat YUCK. Or how comparing Joe V's to HEB - NOT because Joe V 's gets most of their item from picked over canned goods from HEB..look their dented and shelf life not far off. If you have a family of 6 and food goes fast Joe V's. Joe V's pastries expire with 2-3 days, veggies picked over from HEB...I'm not here to convince only review for sport. Going to H-E-B for me is like Little Red Riding Hood skipping through the forest on the way to grandmas house. Y'all need to check out their Meal Simple meals, if I had a family of 4 to cook for and didn't want to slave over a stove BOOM HEB is your go to. Office workers, y'all can pack your microwave lunch for under $10....LOOK at my photos! Vitamins, just the other day I noticed they not only have pharmacy vitamins but also an entire idle devoted to all natural vitamins, minerals, diet pills, informercial brands vitamins and shark tank supplements. They offer weighted coffee, nuts and bulk foods for your nutritional needs. Go check out your local H-E-B they will change your life.

There just is nothing so overwhelming that the price per pound should be as high as it is. Salad bar items are 11.99 a pound. Olive bar, I would expect to be higher but not 11.99 as well. I completely understand and it's very well known that because of its organic food selections and quality that Whole Foods does selectively market to a higher economic demographic that is less price sensitive. However, I am in that upper demographic and I'm getting distracted by getting a salad and some olives and walking out of the store with a $35 bill. At this price, I can just eat at a restaurant, and a decent one at that.

I trust their standards, especially when I'm trying to avoid unnecessary additives and preservatives. I'm a very loyal customer to their bakery, especially for special occasions like birthdays. Their Chantilly cake is hands down the best cake I've ever tried, and it's what I always come back for when celebrating. The bakery alone keeps me coming back, and I always rely on them for cakes. I also love their bread. It does expire faster, but that's actually a good thing since it has minimal ingredients. I just pop it in the freezer and take it out when needed and it tastes exactly the same. The quality is great, and the bread is pretty affordable for how clean the ingredient list is. The ambience is great and honestly one of my favorite parts of shopping here. The store feels clean, calm, and enjoyable to walk through, which makes the experience better overall. Service can be okay. Most of the time it's fine, but occasionally the cashiers near the beverage area can come off a bit rude. It's not a huge issue and hasn't stopped me from shopping here. Yes, it can be expensive if you grab the wrong items, but the 365 brand is usually much more affordable and still great quality. Overall, I really love shopping here and keep coming back for the quality, bakery, and atmosphere.

Pretty good location of the HEB, which is the Texas flagship grocery store, much as Whataburger is the flagship fast food. Their produce is often good, decently priced, the juices are excellent and fresh squeezed. It's like a cheaper Wegmans, if you will. This HEB is in a rough neighbourhood, ish, and has iffy service and is a little less intimate than the one near us in Montrose, but both have service issues, honestly, and this one probably less so. All in all, I give them a good solid 3 stars.

On July 29, 2023, I came to do a special shopping trip because I was hosting a brunch party. After I got home, I found one of the cantaloupes was not in my bags. I called the store and I was offered for a refund. Right before I was about to prepare salsa... I couldn't find my tomatoes and onions. OMG. I think the cashier didn't put one bag in my cart. She did exactly to the customer before me. Then, someone chased him down. But no one let me know that I left a bag behind. My solution: I won't buy more than 9 items. I have been using the self-checkout line ever since. To avoid situation like this. I have been doing major shopping at Kroger's. I would rather pay little more for better service and respect I deserve. I hate to be cheated on my hard-earned money by H‑E‑B cashiers. I have been shopping at this H-E-B for over 17 years. This was how they treated me.
