Stopped in while waiting for a table at Aga's…read more What a treat! I really love checking out grocery stores. In fact, on travels abroad, I love to bring back local treats like packages of jelly, pesto, candy, coffees and tea that I buy at grocery stores. Vishala Grocery reminds me of grocery shopping on vacations overseas. So many amazing finds. Need ghee? Tandoori spices? Biryani seasoning? A huge bag of cardamom? They've got it and lots more! Their selection of fruits and vegetables look so fresh. Thirsty? Grab a fresh fruit juice in a glass bottle. I could have used this grocery store for stocking up for all of those virtual Yelp cooking classes a few years ago where we made chana masala, chapati, butter chicken and mango chutney. I miss those classes!! Parking is plentiful in the Aga's parking lot. The store is very clean and organized. They are open until 9 PM. Will definitely be back to shop for more treats.

Perfect location. It's easy access to Freeway 59 aka Highway 69 and Murphy Road. I usually shop at the Vishala Grocery in Gandhi District because it's near my house. Now, I see this one is actually faster to get to because of the freeway. Parking is no problem but some days when there's an event going on at Aga's, it would be a bit of challenging. I was here to buy something to add to my weekly shopping list. Employees are always friendly. I'll be back to get other stuff soon.

I love this place but man, it gets expensive! I usually come here for seafood, wic, and things on…read moresale you can't pass up. Shopping here for wic is way easier than anywhere else. I do have a complaint, buying live Crawfish! Culturally I need the owners and seafood department to understand crawfish. They should not be sitting out on a dolly until they're purchased! They need to be cooled so they can " sleep " until they're cleaned and boiled. I bought 10 pounds of live crawfish yesterday and every 3rd of them tasted like death. When that happens it's because they were dead before being boiled. Literally, they're inedible. Now I know they can't keep every single one alive, but what they can do is store them properly to prevent customers from buying dead ones. When you buy a sack you should expect 1-2 pounds to be dead and you take those out but for me to buy 1/3 of a sack and still get 1-2 pounds of dead ones are ridiculous. That's $5-12 I wasted. This wasn't the first time either. One time I got 7 pounds and I literally had about 2 pounds of dead ones in a grocery bag I wanted to bring back to the store to show them why it's important to store them properly but who has time to do all of that when I literally just dealt with the whole process of boiling crawfish.. they can't tell how long the customer will take to boil them , usually hours after purchasing them. please for the crawfish sake put them in the cooler so they can stay alive.. for reference , Louisiana does crawfish Texas does bbq, imagine me putting a brisket in the oven and baking it like any other piece of meat and advertising is as if I smoked it.. culturally it's wrong! Or if I boiled ribs before bbq'n them and acting like it's not a problem.. to each its own but truly to leave the crawfish out in the open waiting for people to buy them is a crime. Especially when people who aren't crawfish folk aren't just going to look and be like " yea, let me get whatever that is " people usually think " I want crawfish " and look around to make sure they're there before going to buy them.. it's for certain people know you have crawfish already you don't need them brown and ugly on a dolly to be sold * drop *

This Whole Foods location in Sugar Land is one of my favorite grocery stores for fresh produce,…read morebakery items, organic foods, specialty diets, and high-quality meat and eggs. If you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty products, the selection here is excellent. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. A nice bonus is the Amazon return counter inside the store. You can bring eligible Amazon returns without packaging, and they handle the rest. One thing I wanted to mention for anyone trying to take advantage of the current Amazon Prime ice cream promotion (50% off pints through July 7): this location has had ongoing ice cream issues. I visited twice recently and found the freezers completely empty both times. On one visit, staff said they were waiting on a shipment; on the next visit, they explained that the freezer had broken and posted a sign stating that no ice cream pints were available for sale. So if you're specifically coming for the ice cream deal, I'd recommend calling ahead first or checking another Whole Foods location. Aside from that issue, it's still a great store and a very convenient Whole Foods for the Sugar Land area.

There just is nothing so overwhelming that the price per pound should be as high as it is. Salad bar items are 11.99 a pound. Olive bar, I would expect to be higher but not 11.99 as well. I completely understand and it's very well known that because of its organic food selections and quality that Whole Foods does selectively market to a higher economic demographic that is less price sensitive. However, I am in that upper demographic and I'm getting distracted by getting a salad and some olives and walking out of the store with a $35 bill. At this price, I can just eat at a restaurant, and a decent one at that.

On July 29, 2023, I came to do a special shopping trip because I was hosting a brunch party. After I got home, I found one of the cantaloupes was not in my bags. I called the store and I was offered for a refund. Right before I was about to prepare salsa... I couldn't find my tomatoes and onions. OMG. I think the cashier didn't put one bag in my cart. She did exactly to the customer before me. Then, someone chased him down. But no one let me know that I left a bag behind. My solution: I won't buy more than 9 items. I have been using the self-checkout line ever since. To avoid situation like this. I have been doing major shopping at Kroger's. I would rather pay little more for better service and respect I deserve. I hate to be cheated on my hard-earned money by H‑E‑B cashiers. I have been shopping at this H-E-B for over 17 years. This was how they treated me.

Pretty good location of the HEB, which is the Texas flagship grocery store, much as Whataburger is the flagship fast food. Their produce is often good, decently priced, the juices are excellent and fresh squeezed. It's like a cheaper Wegmans, if you will. This HEB is in a rough neighbourhood, ish, and has iffy service and is a little less intimate than the one near us in Montrose, but both have service issues, honestly, and this one probably less so. All in all, I give them a good solid 3 stars.
