Love this store. They have everything. I mostly shop at HEB Sugar Land. I love the large selection of items.

On Feb 19th, I bought ground sirloin and salmon from HEB Sugar Land (it shows as store #627 on my bank statement). Went to cook them today, and both were spoiled. This is the third time I've bought protein that was spoiled, from this location. The ground sirloin looked perfectly red on the outside but the inside was completely gray. The same thing happened with a package of ground chuck I previously purchased at this location. The salmon looked fine, wasn't slimy, and didn't smell while it was raw. But as it cooked, it smelled weird. I finished cooking it and (reluctantly) tried it, and it tasted just as weird as it smelled. I tossed both in the trash and called for a refund, which I can't get until I go back into the store read more

I absolutely LUUV H-E-B! Who still shops at Walmart for their grocery needs? Why? Walmart veggies go bad with 24 hours and you can see mold. Now don't try and compare and say Fiesta because no comparison not same level and I'm not going to waste my tap, tap on my iPhone or my thinking abilities to debate..Fiesta's meat YUCK. Or how comparing Joe V's to HEB - NOT because Joe V 's gets most of their item from picked over canned goods from HEB..look their dented and shelf life not far off. If you have a family of 6 and food goes fast Joe V's. Joe V's pastries expire with 2-3 days, veggies picked over from HEB...I'm not here to convince only review for sport. Going to H-E-B for me is like Little Red Riding Hood skipping through the forest on the way to grandmas house. Y'all need to check out their Meal Simple meals, if I had a family of 4 to cook for and didn't want to slave over a stove BOOM HEB is your go to. Office workers, y'all can pack your microwave lunch for under $10....LOOK at my photos! Vitamins, just the other day I noticed they not only have pharmacy vitamins but also an entire idle devoted to all natural vitamins, minerals, diet pills, informercial brands vitamins and shark tank supplements. They offer weighted coffee, nuts and bulk foods for your nutritional needs. Go check out your local H-E-B they will change your life. read more

The deli at Riverstone HEB I have been using for years. I recently learned all the prepared foods ie chicken salad variety, cheeses, pre packaged dinners etc, etc, are prepared at the store. The next time you are shopping glance to see the large variety. The staff are hard working and even when busy, they see us waiting, stop as soon as they can to come help us. Pretty disappointed with the Bakery Dept. I put in an order for a small birthday cake two days prior to my daughter's birthday. I was ignored for ten minutes at the service section until a much older gentlemen was rude and rushed my order. He stated he was closing at 5:00! I came to pick up the cake and the words were illegible!!! I asked the bakery clerk to fix it and he stated he doesn't do that. Had to leave the cake and found one at the Sienna location. Put in a complaint to corporate. Idk what's going on with that place. read more

The food is top quality, the employees are always so nice and ready to help in any way they can, and I like that the isles are clean and organized. I've ordered from their bakery so many times for any occasion, my guest enjoy it every time. They're always so surprised I say "It's from HEB!" I recent orders cupcakes for my sons birthday. Cakes were moist for days after, the frosting was perfect. Fluffy and not overly sweet. read more

I love it when I'm able to update my reviews and give a higher score. Since I last wrote, this location has actually become my primary grocery store and since then I've also learned how to budget...although if you're not good at that, this store will take your money. Save yourself by investing in their app. It is worth it as you can scan in store coupons and will find app only coupons to help cut your bill. For the grocery portion, I do like that their vegetable items are always fresh and they have a wide variety of items for everyone from the hard core vegan who wants things like Lions Mane Mushroom to things a practical girl short on time needs, like cut up vegetable or super fresh and large serrano peppers. Because I work two jobs and my husband drives a bit before coming home, the pre-ready made meals have helped us out of jams. I definitely recommend looking at those items next to the pre made salads and sandwiches-which I sometimes grab from lunch. The other awesome thing about this location is the lovely employees, especially the people giving out samples and recipes. Everyone has been so pleasant and friendly to us. I love interacting with people like Ed, Trish, and Lori. The list goes on and on. They are so hard working, wonderful people. Aside from always letting us know where the deals are, and I get it, it's their job, the stuff they are selling has either become staples in our home or we try it out and make it our own. Unless it's an item that contains citrus or we don't like it, which is rare but does happen, we usually get something useful. If you legit go to the kitchen counter where they make food and sell the fancy sauces you will find many worthwhile recipes and items. And Ed. Ed is the best. He has the awesome 2-3 ingredient meals to make life easy after work. The rest of the grocery store has a nice layout and what I like is that the variety and options are vast. Want organic? Got it. Want HEB brand? Got it. Want both! HEB has it with a coupon. They have a very decent cleaning/cleaning supplies/laundry detergent selection for the days I don't feel like dealing with Target. They even have some nice high end stuff like Method and the OCedar brand cleaning supplies. Beauty supplies is still well stocked and lately they've been stocking a lot of curly girl supplies and niche curly girl items like Rizos Curls Cream, which is something you only find in Ulta and sometimes Target. They are making it as easy on me as possible. Their pharmacy section is nice, but I don't make use of it often. The freezer section has every ice cream, vegan lunch, frozen fruit/vegetable, smoothie item you can dream up. I try to avoid the freezer item, because the amount of tasty and weird ice cream options are amazing. They have lactose free ice cream that tastes like real ice cream. With the vast amount of ready made meals, niche products, variety of food, great hair products and beauty aisle, and the amount of household and kitchen products they have, HEB at this location really is a Target without the circle. They even have an expensive middle section with overpriced furniture-just like Target. Time will tell if that middle section is here to stay. You definitely need to come. I love this place and the staff here is lovely. They have made some difficult days for me a little bit brighter, so I appreciate all that they do. read more

I've gotta tell you. If I live nearby, I would come here often to patronize this H-E-B Bakery. Lots lots of deliciously looking cakes. They also have those colorful French Macaroons. It seems only seen at Asian bakeries. Tres leche cakes are must haves at any HEB store. They've got plenty in different sizes and shapes. Some parts of store have awesome displays, but not entire store. Again, I would come back more often, if I lived in Sugar Land. read more

H-E-B is my all-time favorite! The selection of staples as well as specialty foods is vast. Produce is fresh. Employees are helpful and cheerful. We love being able to order online and pick it up at a time of our choosing. We also shop in the store. I occasionally get something from another store, but that is seldom. read more

I have been a loyal customer to H-E-B for over 15 years until today I will never be going back again. I placed an order for a curbside pick up. I actually placed two orders of a curbside pick up within the span of two weeks.. in that order since there was a shortage on ginger root I ordered 10 packs of ginger root the first order and three packs of ginger root the second order two weeks apart. I stored them away and after the second order, I started to use them or try to use them to see that they were covered mold and black spots.. I was in shock. I thought if I cut it off, it would be fine. I was very wrong it made me sick. So I researched it, and if there is mold on ginger root it spreads to the whole root, I then closely looked at all of the packages that I received on curbside.. to my surprise every single package had molded ginger root in it. How could you get that wrong? 13 times???? I went to the store and received a refund and asked to speak to the manager. I wanted to know what could or would be done .. he apologized promptly and wrote down my information and said that the produce manager would be calling me the next day. 2 weeks later, well I never got that call. Unfortunately I can't take it to court, because I did not take any photos or proof of the damaged items. I will never shop there again. They don't care about people's lives. I asked that manager if I could possibly die and he said I don't know but we will call you. Never again I can't wait until H-E-B goes out of business. read more

We love H‑E‑B! Always great produce and meat. My kiddos(okay and me too) love going on Sunday for the samples. The bakery is our go to for birthday cakes! They are amazing at customization and take a lot of pride in their design. It's obvious they enjoy what they do because it shows in their work! I love my HEB store and I probably spend at least $20-30K per year at this store. However, lately I'm getting a little tired of everything being moved around the store from place to place. Why are the paper towels now at another aisle from the toilet paper? Why are the vitamins now by the deli instead of the drug department? If this is to enhance customer service, it's not working. I can go to Walmart and find everything. I also noticed that the checkers don't ask me anymore if I found everything I was looking for. We all know why! HEB, I still love you, but you are a making me look at other stores. read more

I've always loved HEB and even more so today. While grocery shopping a huge storm started, as my mom and I prepared to make a run for it, a very kind worker offered to walk us out under his umbrella. We thought we were getting a chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream icing. Turns out it is "bettercream". The wording is deceptive. The cake is also very dry. When the bakery was called, they acted like it was our fault. I do not recommend them for cakes. read more

This HEB location thought about the situation their customers are in during the hard times of Beryl hurricane. They had a place set up where customers could charge their devices while shopping or just charge their devices. This made a big big difference in people lives because the only way to have access to information is on their devices. I want to thank HEB for their consideration to the customers. This is truly what customers' service is about. I also want to thank HEB for not price gouging their customers at a time in need. It is hard to find ice. If you're able to find ice, stores are charging 2.99 for less than a 5 lb bag of ice. I found a 16 lb for 3.88 at HEB. Thank you, HEB. read more

Attention Sugar Land: We now have our very own Central Market! They may have called it HEB Sugar Land Market, but that's because it is in the suburbs.... but it is the suburban Central Market! We went to the preview and Grand Opening of this HEB and knew it was going to be a big store but we didn't know it was going to be this grand. We had watched this store be built from the ground up and it is truly gigantic. It has the typical stuff like a gas station, produce, wine and beer area, etc.... but what sets this HEB apart is that it's like two stores in one. On the right side of the store you have a Central Market like experience called Sugar Land Market and on the left you have a more typical grocery store. The Sugar Land Market side (like Central Market) has some amazing features. There are central market pre-made food, Central Market Cafe on the Run, an amazing deli with tons of different types of fresh made bread, home made tortillas, fresh made sushi, artisan cheeses, and even live cooking demonstrations. As we made our way around the store, we found a coffee bean roasting station, health food / natural products, grind your own nutbutter, bulk dry goods, and all the typical grocery store items. I was very impressed with the number of managers on the floor as we walked around. You MUST go check out this place. Not only is it new, clean, and bright, but it is really attractive. The walls are color coordinated to each section. HEB has definitely spent some serious money into making this fabulous grocery store. This WILL be our regular grocery store from now on. --------------------------------------- Edit 11/27/11: I didn't want to update already, but I had to add this edit note. I dropped this place a star because they have really brought the class level down. They have now installed a Redi-clinic inside (there are clinics and hospitals all around this area) and are in the process of adding a nail salon and Gold store. So I have moved back home to sugar land and have been a frequent shopper here. I love that they have fresh produce and a variety of selection. They have a fresh juicer bar that is always providing freshly squeezed juice and even a combination f flavors like strawberry mango. I would like to shine light to their floral department. They have a wonderful and beautiful arrangement of flowers and even bamboo. My sister and I have become regulars to the floral department because they provide fresh flowers as those high end floral places but at more than half the cost. They even have $3 sales on flower bunches. The flowers here are great for any occasion and for anyone. They also take orders if you wish to order in advance. They even saved a few flowers for us for the end of the week in their freezer. Quick mention of their meat department. I do pick up my prime ribs here when its time for those special dinner times for the family...plus great price. Great quality and I do not go anywhere else. read more

Coming to my usual grocery shopping on a Saturday 12/5/20 morning. Today was not a great day where I had to file a complaint on a checker on register 9 @ 9:11am. As I was looking to see which registrar to go to. I decided to go to Register 9. The lady was 1/2 way done checking out. I noticed a cart in between register but I did not see anyone around the cart. Did not think anything to it. I had about 10-15 items. Put my groceries on the register belt. I heard aloud slam behind me. I turn to look. An elderly lady (in her 70s) gave me the most mean/dirty look wearing a mask. I said" was that your cart". She said", YES, and I have been waiting here for awhile". I said I did not see her and the cart was in the middle of the register. I apologize to her 3-4 times because she look very upset and I told her that was not my intention. I told her I can take all my groceries off the register belt and let her go 1st. The old lady said,"'There are more important things going on in this world than this." As she was moving closer to me (still upset). I move up (barely 1 step)". I got chew out by another old elderly lady (in her 60s) that just finish paying and waiting on her receipt. She said", Excuse me 6ft part". As I was going to say something. The checker (African American lady, no name tag) gave me an attitude and said" Ma'am you need to scrout back". I was so upset that I am getting yelled at by 3 people within minutes. I told both of the ladies that....."The lady in the back is mad at me and now the lady is the front is mad at me. I'm stuck in the middle where do you want me to go." Of course no one said anything. I was so upset, I went to file a complaint on the checker to Lesley (floor supervisor on duty). I explained to Lesley what had happen. I told her, the checker had no right to say that to me if she did not see what had happen. Where was the floor supervisor that is usually directing traffic? Obviously no one was there. Lesley said customers are NOT suppose to leave there cart and go somewhere else. Well obviously this elderly lady did. I try my best to make it right for her but she was still mad at me. She apologies for the situation and said she will talk the checker. As I was talking to Lesley. I can see & hear the checker saying " I don't know why she is complaining to the elderly lady that was mad at me". Well I am complaining about you being rude & unprofessional. You are the one bad apple working for HEB that has a bad attitude and needs to be better, especially during this pandemic. Even after I left the store I was still upset. I called the HEB store. I spoke to the store manager on duty Matt regarding my horrible situation. He also apologized, took down my information. He or Kathy will call me back regarding this situation. It's been 4 days and have not heard back from anyone. Hopefully HEB management had spoken to their checker about being rude. Usually HEB has great customer service except this time. 12/14 I believe it was Lesley or Kathy called me back. Apologizing about the situation. They went and pull the video. What they saw was what I said? The checker should not had said anything to me if she did not know about the situation. The elderly lady should not have left her cart in the middle and go somewhere else. I really appreciate the sincere apology. read more

I have ordered delivery twice from HEB. First time items were wrong but I let it pass. Second time items missed and driver sped off when I tried to ask her for the rest of my items. HEB! I have always liked HEB and this location is just delightful. This location is higher-end and offers fresh squeezed orange juice (that is usually only offered in Central Market). I LOVE the fresh squeeze orange juice. It's delightfully sweet and refreshing especially in the hot weather. However, be warned, I've had some sour ones so it's not always amazing. There are sample cups so you can see what it tastes like that day. Props to the seafood guys! They are always happy to help skin/scale fish for me and they have pretty good deals on seafood occasionally, like the week of thanksgiving. The seafood section is a larger display and looks more appealing than the ones at Sweetwater Krogers, though there might be artificial coloring involved for the pinkness of the salmon. There's a sampling section of San Antonio roll and gyoza by the sushi stand. There's also a mini cooking station with three or four free samples of various dinner recipes. The recipe cards are available as are the ingredients used to make the meal. The chefs are available to serve and discuss the recipes. On weekends, there are even more sample stations scattered about to try. The store itself is well maintained, clean, and orderly. It feels like new. The produce is fairly good. I think they do well in filtering out the rotten expired. However, there are a lot of overripe foods (like avocados) and a lot of fruit picked before its ripeness, but hey that's the case most everywhere in US. I wish they had more mini shopping carts available as those are cute, handy, and "just right." This store is larger and offers higher end things (like fresh squeezed orange juice!) than the other 59 location by Star Furniture and it feels more open and new than the Missouri City location. There's a RedBox in the store front area, past the sliding doors in the general vicinity of where you get the shopping carts. Service has always been on point and I enjoy getting my groceries here. read more

We come here a few times a week, usually once a week for our weekly trip, then a couple of times during the week to pick up odds and ends. They rearranged the store recently, maybe it has been a few months...now we can't find anything. It doesn't make any logical sense how they decided to lay this store out, nothing is located on the row you would think it is on. We always end up zig zagging back and forth through the store several times and it makes our grocery trip take 2-3 times longer than it needs to be. We value our time; grocery shopping is generally a pain under normal circumstances, however the new store arrangement has us looking to shop elsewhere. The pharmacy here is awesome though, they are always prompt and friendly...the pharmacy gets 5/5 stars. read more

I have been shopping at this location for 15 years. I spend a lot of money in groceries. It seems that ever since the pandemic it has gone down hill. You would think for the high prices that items would be packed properly and not forgotten to be packed. This occurs a lot, I get home and items are missing, and it always seems to be the ones thar I need that Day to cook. I'm expected to drive 7 miles there to pick them up. Or receive a credit, then I have to go again to another store to get what I need. I'll give most of my money to Kroeger in the future. read more

This store is gorgeous. I love the new look of HEB and this store really exemplifies the brightness/openness of the new stores. I've only been a couple times, but really prefer this location to Walmart across the street (in terms of cleanliness and crowds) or Target (in terms of prices). HEB is like an upscale Walmart nowadays. Their prices on toiletries, beauty items, and some groceries really rivals the cheapest competition. I also love that you don't have to have one of those pesky membership or rewards cards to get good prices here. The store does have coupons, but they usually provide the coupons right next to the actual product. This store has everything you want in an HEB and more. They even have a nail salon (although a little overpriced), and bank inside the store. read more

Love this grocery! since I've been residing in Houston this is actually the first grocery that I can say has everything I look for when I need food!! plus the bonus would be that my son enjoys himself in the car cart and sometimes i don't need to get snacks to distract him from pulling items off the shelf.. lol! overall the store is huge, clean, friendly folks, customer service is on point and you can get carried away with going into all the aisle's with just checking for new products! they even have my DH hot sauce that he lives by.. I'm so glad its down the street from home! read more

HEB always has my heart and I really love this location. It is pretty much right across the street from where I work and since they open at 6 I can stop in before I go to work to get anything I need. I like that just because I don't have to deal with any of the crowds. This store has always been so clean and well stocked since they have opened. There are a lot of newer HEB's opening that are much larger than this one but I am always able to find whatever I am looking for. I have noticed the alkaline water that I really love is almost $1 less than Kroger. May not seem like a lot except I but at least 12 large bottles at a time. Lets be honest though - who doesn't love their yellow coupons!!!! LOL. I have stopped at the deli to get lunch if I have forgot mine and I really love the selection of everything they carry. The staff at the Sugar Land location are all very helpful and nice. I never have to wait very long in line - even when its packed. There is a reason why HEB is better and this location is helping their name out!!!! As long as I work in Sugar Land I will be visiting this location. read more

I generally do not visit this H-E-B much but since I ate lunch nearby, I thought I could pick up some groceries here instead of driving to Krogers or Target. The last time I visited was to get some flowers for Mother's Day. They have wonderful specials on dozen roses on Mother's Day. On this visit today, I find that this HEB has a variety of selections, and there are also quite a lot of sales. You can find anything and everything you just might need here, though may be not the specific type you like. For example, they did not have the cheese I liked in the deli section - the fromoger d'affinois. What makes today most noteworthy is that my mom paid for the groceries today, but she did not get the correct change. It turns out she was short-changed $18 from the cashier. It was a good thing she noticed she was missing some cash as we were looking to purchase lottery tickets as we were walking out. I had thought it was gonna be a long time to sort it out, and there will be big drama going on, but turns out it wasn't too bad. We told the cashier, whom told his manager, whom told him to stop checking out customers. The manager got the cash box from him and went to check in the back if the cash box had over cash. She checked and paid us back the money. The whole process was pretty smooth though it did put a damper on the day. read more

My son's first birthday party was coming up so I ordered 2 cakes. (A smash cake & a sheet cake). They first informed me they didnt make smash cakes which was fine so I ordered the smallest round cake they had. I took the bakery employee to the "cake book" showed him the design and requested cake flavors, icing, borders, fruit middle, etc. I made the order simple with the only complication being to put the cake toy on the side. Now I've never had issue with this store but the stupid confident side of me ignored my smart and suspicious husband who said order it the day before the party ....... boy should I have listened. I came in the morning of the party to pick up the cake and it was horrible. It looked nothing like the picture and the cakes didn't match. They also misspelled my son's name. I took the employee to the book and the page was gone with the cake I ordered. Great. So I'm trying to explain to her what the problem is and I can see her patience wearing thin. I told her my son's name was wrong, she took it back and corrected it and brought it back. Wrong again. By this point my blood is boiling and I told them I didn't want the smash cake if they were going to continue to scrape off the icing and continue misspelling his name after I spelled it repeatedly. I told them the sheet cake looked terrible and nothing like I ordered. She smirked and looked insulted and just walked away. I ended up asking to speak to the store manager. He looked at the cake and he himself admitted he couldn't identify what it was meant to be until I told him. He called the bakery manager and she said she thought it looked terrible too. She took the cake and said she would fix them and give her a few minutes. I went back to the bakery picked up the cakes. They were "fixed" but not much better. You could tell someone had made a mistake and tried to cover it up with that good ole frosting swirl. She comped the cakes and I thanked her for her kindness. If I wasn't between a rock and a hard place and already late to the party because of this I wouldn't have taken them. I really had no choice. I have determined to never order a birthday cake from them again. It's not worth the hassle and the shoddy decoration work. The managers tried hard to fix the issue but it was just to hard to fix to complete satisfaction. If you order a cake please check it.
