As I walked in, I felt the cool air flowing onto my face. Aaaah... That cool air conditioning. The store has improved a little bit with the appearance. I went to houseware department and saw a beautiful display looks like my dream kitchen. It looked so real. I couldn't believe they upgraded the displays throughout the store. Same function at women's and men's fashion department. I forgot if I was at department store or Walmart. The store is still located at the ghetto part of town. So, there is no 5-star for them. It's wild on weekend and nights. I normally shop here during the midweek lunchtime. I am still vigilant walking in the parking lot. I don't want to get ran over. read more

I just came to this Walmart a little while ago and the lady who was working on the self checkout lines was absolutely rude. That is an issue when people don't pay attention to their tone, their attitude and the way they address other people. She could've politely just told me that those lines were closed or not working although all of those lights were green. It took me by surprise because she made it seem like I just committed a crime or something. So I told her, "there's no reason for you to talk to me that way" and she got even louder saying "ain't no one talking to you no kind of way". Then the next time I encountered her I was getting ready to talk to a manager, and her tone of voice completely changed and I brought that to her attention and she just said "okay well". I was in a rush, so I just ended up leaving, but this was such a terrible experience and for absolutely no reason too. I'm not expecting for everyone to be smiling and cheerful all the time, that's just absurd. But just treat people with decency and don't talk to them like they're stupid. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would Yesterday 6/4/2025 we went Walmart store located at 11210 W Airport Blvd, Stafford, TX 77477 to replace my car battery, after getting a failure diagnostic at Firestone. The Service writer greeted us and registered the car informing that Walmart must run their own test before replacing the battery. At our arrival time, there were only 2 cars in services inside the TLS area. After the test was completed ( around 45 min wait) and the failure was confirmed, the services writer gave us a receipt, and told us that the battery was under warranty still and should be replaced at no cost to us. Took the receipt to the cashier who told us we need to go out and sign up the car again, and that the waiting time should be around 3 hours. We asked why we should sign up the car again if it was signed already. He explained that the first write was to do only the test and the second one would be for the battery to be replaced. We called the services writer and asked why we have to sign up the car a second time. The same explained to us that there is no need for that and went to talk to the cashier asking why we were given those instructions, and also if there was anything changed in the system that he was not aware of. The cashier replied, "nothing changed, but I need to get approval from the manager for the battery swap" My husband offered to replace the battery if he were given the tool, but the cashier declined saying that Walmart rules would not allow this and also, if the service is not completed at the TLS station, "they would not be able to honor the battery warranty" ( what would happen then if you take the battery yourself and take it to replace it, warranty would not be honored then?) Another 45 min or more, the manager came just to say that "he will need to see the old battery before he can authorize the change...." The old battery was brought by the service writer after my husband went and explain the situation. More waiting time, since the cashier left for lunch and no one else replaced him until after 30 min later. In my never-ending waiting time there, I learned that there were other costumers waiting for tires change since around 10 am... with the job not completed around 3:30 pm... Another cashier came, who was aware of our situation, because it she was present previously, but played ignoring the situation which we had to explain again. As happened before, she also required the manager "to authorize AGAIN" the battery swap. More time waiting for the manager, who finally came and said he needs to have the new battery labels in order to complete the transaction, something that should be already done, when taking out the battery from the storage to complete the replacement. The new cashier went inside the TLS to my car and took a picture of the battery labels. Once at the registrar again, they asked my husband for his ID.... Since when they ask at Walmart for your ID to change a battery?? The car is registered in their system under his name and phone number, the warranty info is there, what else they would need to complete this simple service and transaction?? When finally, we were able to get the paperwork of the service and to get our car back, my husband checked the battery installment and noticed that the cap that covers an important part to prevent electric shocks, was missing, they also left sort of cloth inside the car as well. A total mess, but mistreatment did not stop there. The mechanic purposely was delaying to give us the car already finished, when he finally came, after my husband asked him why he could not take the car out if was finished and papers given, he came with a very bad mood and temper and slammed the hood of the car so hard that we thought it will be broken. Looking for someone to give our feedback and concerns about the bad quality of the service and attention given, we seek for the Store Manager, no one could tell us if he/she was or not at the store. Then, we meet a Team leader at the floor who gently assisted us calling the Store manager. The store manager asked to be given the complaint details over the phone... After I finished explaining the reason why we want to see him, he said he will be out shortly since he was with an Associate at the moment. We wait for more than 40 min and he never came out. During this waiting time, checked the paper given to us and noticed that the same was not ours!!, it belonged to the costumer waiting for his tires since 10:35 AM !!!!! Which means that they provided another costumer information to us, without even looking at it, but they were so rigorous when they asked for my husband ID to "make sure" it was him the one registered in the system for a simple battery replacement???? Simply ridiculous. After the long wait, we decided to leave, the Team leader meet us again and apologized for the inconvenient and offered further assistance telling us where to complete a survey for this mistreatment. read more

Absolutely useless! And really just lost a big customer. My boss asked me to take our van even though we had doubts of walmart being walmart so we ordered the tires 1. Was delayed by two days even though its "guaranteed delivery date" 2. Straight up laziness! First they said that their lift can't handle the van. And then I responded with oh but you can use the jack cause I only need the front two and then they said oh well we can't drive it into the bay so we can't work on it. I have going to this Walmart for over 30 years. I moved move down south but continue to go here because I grew up in the area. The automotive area has been on a decline for the last couple of years since that lady manager left. Today I went to an oil change around 330pm. I was told to come back because "everybody was at lunch" and to "come back in an hour or two". I'm not sure what business lets everyone go to lunch at the same time especially when I pull up and 2 workers are talking and cleaning. Just say straight up I don't feel like working and come back when the people who want to work come back. That's the perception. Well I guess loyalty has gone out the window. This Walmart, located at the intersection of 90 and Hwy 6, is conveniently located and even has more entrances that are easy to get through from the 90 side. It may be difficult if you aren't used to it - using your GPS will help, but from someone who has frequented this location for eons, the "new" entrances are helpful! It is still easiest to access from the hwy 6 side, but not impossible anymore from 90. It is located next to a Sam's, too, as per usual so that makes shopping for stuff and then more stuff and groceries convenient. I don't usually look for customer service when visiting some place like Walmart, just looking for items in stock at reasonablely cheap prices, things being easy to find, shopping carts, and short check out lines. The nice thing about this location is that they carry more than some other Walmarts might. They have a good craft section, with fabric and other arts and crafts, including storage. They also seem to stock a lot more seasonal items, toys, and clothing choices as well. Yes, there are boxes everywhere, but that's how you get things stocked back up quickly and able to find the things you are looking for. They have taken down many of their price scanners throughout the store, making it harder to find those hidden super clearance items - which even their store apps on your phone do not always find. That's the biggest let down of the store, imo. The McDonald's in here is pretty well staffed and seems to always be crowded when I come in, so it must be decent. It has been awhile. Since I've eaten there personally, but their ice cream machine was down the last time I visited. :( I have not had an negative interactions with the workers or customer service here, but have been stopped by the receipt checker person often, even when I have had only one bag on me. Supposedly you aren't legally required to stop for them, but whatever. It's their job and I would find it so boring to stand there, so I don't mind stopping for them. The guest service representatives are liars. I had gifts to return, unopened and not damaged. I had the receipt also. The lady working the desk refused to accept the returns and claimed, "Walmart doesn't accept holiday items." Mind you, it's a foot bath and sweater. I am the first one to tell you that I am anti-Walmart. I have seen some pretty nasty Walmarts in Houston and Corpus Christi, with the CC one being the most disgusting. I still have flashbacks of that Walmart, whenever I pass by one. After reading the reviews, I was troubled and scared, but I had to come as it was in my new neighborhood and I needed stuff. I came here like a secret spy in the morning and it was nice. I came back during another time and it was still...nice. I came back during a busy time and it was still nice. No People of Walmart memes going on here. Many people come here and what I like about this Walmart over every other one, and even some Target's, is that the customers are generally nice and friendly. Even the ones with kids have their kids under control, unlike a few other establishments I've been too. One kid tried to have a temper tantrum and that ended pretty quickly. The clothes are still generally ugly, but I think that's Walmart treating their clientele like trash and not giving them a quality product. All the other cheap stuff, so to speak like house and home goods are decently priced, a good selection, and as long as you're not throwing a frat party it should last you a while. The grocery has a good selection of food and the prices are decent. I like that they have my preferred hair gel and they have the brand of pet food that Oreo and my other kitty will eat, the little brats and loves of my kitty life prefer a Purina flavor that occassionally is hard to find, so when I found the 16 - 20 pound bags, I was sold. Since the employees are nice, the customers are nice, and everything about this is decent with savings, you kinda have to like this store. The one major negative, aside from it being a Wal-Mart that sells trashy clothes is that their parking lot is too small. It is pretty common to see people driving around trying to find space. Additionally, as Wal-Mart likes to have cheap ugly clothes, a lot of them like having ugly parking lots. It's not dirty mind you, just in need of a good repaving or something. It's just bleh. You'll know what i mean when you see it. Like you really are going to have a super center and make the smallest parking lot ever? Of course you are. On that note, I'd still avoid this place on Black Friday. Wal-Mart does some dangerous voodoo that makes all customers go crazy in the past few years and as much as I like this Wal-Mart I rather not fall under that trance. So come for the savings and if you're trendy and anti-Walmart, just tell your friends you went to Target instead. They really won't notice the difference. read more

For a Wal-Mart, this qualifies as okay. For any other store, it would be a pretty subpar experience. With respect to everything further that I have to say, assume that every sentence ends with "for a Walmart." The place is reasonably clean, the displays are well-stocked, and everything is bright. The parking lot is always full, but the store never seems to be particularly crowded, even by the cash registers. I'm not sure that I would buy groceries here, but other staple items seem to be reasonable. They have all of the items my fiancé and her cats need, and everything I've needed has been well-stocked when I've come by. They have the typical 30 cash register lanes that are almost always closed, with a couple of self-service lanes on each side and maybe two employees actually working registers somewhere in the middle. Still, there never seems to be too long a wait to check out. After a certain hour, the greeters at the door turn into receipt Nazi's. They literally block people from leaving if they don't let them check their receipts. My girlfriend and I were at the self-check out when one guy came rushing back to pick up his receipt from the dispenser because they stopped her cart. When we finished checking out and walked to the door, he had about four people waiting because he was carefully expecting every item in her cart. I was carrying a heavy container of kitty litter, so we walked around and out. He kept yelling at us and another employee literally stood in the doorway to prevent us from leaving. My fiancé fished the receipt out of her purse and showed it to the guy and we left. I don't know why on earth someone would try to steal a large heavy box of kitty litter, but whatever. For some reason when I do a search on Yelp for the closest Walmart while driving down 59 South this one never pops up. How did I find it? I had to sit inside the parking lot until it finally did but that might not be Yelp's err. Yes, it's here, it's beside the freeway but it's hard to see if you're not looking for it. Well, just to balance those positive reviews out, I have decided to review another local WalMart. This particular branch is located off of Highway 59 (Southwest Freeway)... After walking in, I was almost crushed by a 400+ pound man in one of those "Hoveround" scooters. You know the ones from TV, for people that have either lost their ability to walk, or simply choose to never walk again. I fly by the greeter, who was wearing his 38 pieces of flair, smiley face buttons, and suspenders? Jeez! Is there any other way they can demoralize this poor guy? Maybe put him in clown shoes, and one of those propeller hats? I want to make this a short and sweet visit, so I'm not talking to anyone. Bought a pair SLIDE SLIPPERs for my grandson from this location. It was $12.99. The velcro on one side broke within 10 days. I took it back to customer service to replace it, but since I didn't have the receipt, the lady would not take it back or exchange it. She said it was store policy regarding slippers that a receipt is required. I told her she can throw it in the trash ten, because we have no use for it. I didn't keep the receipt (my mistake). I tried 2 other ones and they all had one technician who was too busy to check my battery with the light coming on, and the guy here not only checked it, but also did a test and determined my alternator was shot to hell. There's various reasons why I don't shop at Walmart, but like most people, if you're in a jam and you need something ASAP, there are very few stores that are as pervasive and always open. Walmarts seem to be synonymous with bad customer service and mediocre offerings and this location keeps true to the stereotype. To be fair, it's not all a bad, they do legitimately have lower prices, but Walmart just breeds experiences that won't find anywhere else. It's rare that you find someone walking through a store with a chimpanzee. At least for me it is. The customer service at this location is very bad. If you work somewhere, you should be able to help people--I guess not. The items are available and in abundance. Pros: + Walmart. + Items galore. + Spacious. They locked the doors at 12 am on the side with the open check outs so you have to walk all the way to the other side of the store from the general merchandise side to get your groceries, check out, then walk all the way back to the other side of the store to exit and then back to the other side where you parked by grocery. Ridiculous. I don't know what they have going on but it sucks. The cashier had to reset her till and count out all of her money before I could check out using a credit card. I waited patiently for five minutes while she did this. The bathrooms are always dirty and they smell. There are panhandlers in the parking lot and recently there was a drive by shooting at the grocery entrance where someone supposedly was shot dead. The police are always visible in the store now, especially at night. Panhandlers hang out in the parking lot to beg for money day and night. Frequently the parking lot is littered with baskets at night so choose parking carefully. I do not recommend shopping here, especially after dark. read more

Needed an oil change today on my car. So I thought I would try Walmart for the first time. What an mistake. Pull my car up and saw a sign there but no identification what to do. So I Parked my car went inside were no one was inline and told the lady I needed a oil change. She said you have to go park in lane one and service guy will write you a invoice. So I went back out side and was first in line while 2 other cars were inside being work on . ( But only the hoods were open on them and no one was serviced them.!!! So waited outside on my car for 15-18 minutes till a service guy finally showed up. I was ready to leave. So after I gave him my information on what kind of oil change I wanted I left an walked around Walmart and did a little shopping. 45 minutes went by and my car didn't move an inch. !! Finally after 1 hour and 15 minutes it moved inside. And sat there and sat there with only the hood open. Only one service guy was working while another young kid was vacuuming my car ? The other 2 was either talking to a girl back and fourth or wasn't doing anything. And his picture was on the wall saying he was an assistant manager. HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR 45 MINUTES EXCEPT TALKING TO THE OTHER MECHANIC OR PICKING UP TOOLS BACK AND FORTH OR COMING INSIDE WALMART TO COOL OFF!!! Lazy Guy!! Isles crowded with piles of boxes. Rude supervisors. Watched an employee with a cart of returned items put two containers of meat back into the meat cooler. I went to feel it and it was sooooo room temperate. How long had that been sitting behind the return counter. Called s manager and she took the meat out. What if I had not seen this? Small parking lot. Garden center doors close early with no sign saying this entrance closed. Store side doors close at night leaving the grocery side open. Again no sign saying these doors are closed. The McDonald's is dirty and staffed with rude workers. The look of the store employees resembles the line outside of the Social Security office. Only two employees have ever been friendly. Pharmacy closes at unposted times and they don't care if you have been in line or not. Pharmacy checkout area is cluttered. Visited the money center today & was skipped in line by some random guy around 5p today. I only needed 2 minutes to pay a bill after waiting in line for almost 15 minutes. I was originally the only one standing there & the lady working at the register could clearly see that I was the only one left. This guy waltzes right up & starts speaking to me in Spanish. I don't know Spanish, and I also didn't know that he was asking to cut me in line! Left the spot fuming because of the lack of respect and customer support the lady at the register COULD have provided, but didn't. There's nothing special at this particular location but every now & again you'll see something extra ratchet or just plain ridiculous. I don't know what to say about the actual store other than don't even purchase a gaming system from any wal*mart. Reason being is that wal*mart gets the lowest quality of gaming consoles, trust me you can look it up on the internet. I mean the employees are about as helpful as wal*mart employees can be. The person who answered "Mary", said she would send someone to get the package. Got to the store. She didn't call anyone. Checked with customer service and no call either. I use to live near this Wal-Mart and I rarely went to this location because it is just so dirty!!!! The parking lot is filthy with pigeons and other vile birds flying about trying to miss cars. Horrid!!! I only went inside to use the bathroom, which was ok. I didn't smell. I made a quick pit stop through the women's department to see if there were any clearance items that caught my eye. I must stop here because I have to admit I just have a bias against Wal-Mart. I cannot think of the last time I went to one because I just can't stand the place. Give me a Target any day of the week. Had a horrible pick up experience here. Ordered something offline and arrived to pick it up this morning. I was the only customer back there, so there's no valid excuse as to why I had to wait so long. On top of that, none of the employees knew what was going on, and finally chalked it up to "their system being down." Needless to say I arrived early to avoid any issues, but left empty handed.
