Then, and ONLY then do you see the Terms that show that "ALL INCOMING LOADS ARE SUBJECT TO A ONE TON MINIMUM" I assumed ok i paid for up to 1 Ton right so i can do a couple more loads. I usually fill a big black bag and it's around $15. On this last trip at Dejas, they could tell it was my friend and I's first time at the location and helped us a bit with our sorting. They were patient and helpful! Plus when our total was $18 and some change they just gave us a $20 as a first time customer bonus! So unnecessary but kind! We parked along the street as we knew it would be a quick trip in & out. It's located in a clear spot though and identified more clearly than similar places. We'll definitely be doing out recycling here from now on! It's way cleaner than other spots and such a better experience overall.

I called around and luckily one of the plastic recycling centers told me about them. I called in advance to check if they'd take the steel bars I had and a real person answered the phone on first ring!! That is a rarity in today's world. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. The next day I came - took me some time to get here but once I got here they gave me clear instructions on what to do. They weighed my car before and after I unloaded the metals; their system used the difference to calculate the money they would pay and gave me a ticket to go get the money from the cashier. I was super impressed by their streamlined process! Inside the dump yard everyone was helpful and assisted me. The entire thing took only a few minutes. But here's the REAL lesson I learned at this place : modern humans (we, that is) create so much trash - mounts of paper boxes, piles of metals, mountains of used auto parts... it was shockingly eye opening to see how much they had collected!!! After seeing this place, there's no excuse that we must reduce, reuse, and recycle !!!

When I called to get more information, the receptionist was super friendly & helpful and let me know they could arrange to bring a dumpster to my house if I needed (but I didn't). She also gave me a general estimate over the phone. So when I finally rolled up with my load of bricks, I was totally preparing to talk fast to get the "friends and family" rate if she was wrong, but as she had estimated, the price was so cheap that I didn't even bother! My friend who was assisting me in dumping the bricks has more experience with LA dumps and even he was shocked at how cheap it was! So of course, this is primarily a cash-only transaction (they might take credit cards if your bill gets bigger, but I'd call and ask), so I had to leave my DL as collateral and hit the bank. The workers were totally cool & accommodating. So this is my big thank you to this company for making the disposal of a fireplace & chimney a fast, painless, and cheap process. Unbelievable customer service unless you experience it first hand …read more Parking my truck and trailer across the street I walked to ask for help in which I could recycle a trailer load of mixed metals. To my surprise a very pleasant lady met me with a charming smile and asked if I needed help . I shared what I had to recycle and she said , I'll get someone to help you . Less than a minute of waiting , a young lad explained what he was going to do so that I could pull my trailer in . After doing so guided me in to unload . Well mannered young man who communicated clearly started to explain the variety of recycling I had which seemed very confusing to me . I was overwhelmed with sorting and mentioned it to the young man . I'm 60 and not in the best condition recovering from an accident that happened in 2020 . He politely said , he would help and sort it , and then inside they will sort and weigh it . He mentioned that he would lift the heavy items so not to put a strain on myself . I didn't catch his name but he is 20 years old & operates the forklift or fills in anywhere they need him . He also allowed me to utilize the trash can for un -recyclable item ( trash) Inside they weighed my recycling and separated it accordingly to give me the best price or it definitely seemed that way . He offered me water as this took close to a hour to unload . The cashier was also very polite and friendly explaining to me the process. I learnt the First Lady was the owner . I really felt honored having such a good experience as everyone worked as a team . As the Boss lady moved her car , I signaled her to back up , she was clear to do so . As she passed , I waved and gestured to say thank you with a wave . The remaining steps went smoothly . I received a ticket with weight and value . Handed it to the cashier with my ID . She recorded the ticket and I signed and received money in exchange for recyclable metal. It was a 5 star experience . Customer service made a difference in my choice to recycle . They do sometimes have hand sanitizer but I keep my own in my car as well as wipes. They're located in the Gardena Market's parking lot so parking can be hit or miss. I've not had a bad experience coming here but I don't know what they could do for me to call them excellent. They're just a convenient and competent recycling center. I couldn't say how their rates compare because I go them mainly for the convenience.

A person was cleaning the area when I went there. Though it looked simple and might be a little outdated, overall it was clean with no trash smells. A very tall guy helped me, and I was there in and out. Very fast service and friendly people. This might be my new recycling place!
