I was confused because I did not understand what he wanted me to separate, and when I asked, he only mumbled something that I could not understand. I then asked the employee who was entering the scale numbers what exactly needed to be separated. He explained that the non-CRV bottles needed to be separated from the CRV bottles. I told him that I honestly did not know that was required and that this was the first time anyone at this location had mentioned it to me. I also told him that now that I knew, I would make sure to separate them next time. Instead of simply explaining the policy, he responded, "Nope, we tell everyone every day," which came across as though he was accusing me of lying. He then said something along the lines of, "You probably didn't get paid for it then," and pointed to a sign located on the left side of the container. The sign is positioned in an area that is not easily visible to customers. I have no issue following the rules or separating the bottles now that I understand the requirement. My complaint is about the way the situation was handled. A simple, professional explanation would have been enough. There was no reason for the employee to be dismissive or imply that I was being dishonest simply because I was unaware of the policy. I would recommend making the signage more visible and ensuring employees communicate these requirements respectfully, especially when a customer is asking a legitimate question and is willing to comply.

This place has its own sanitation station, but I highly recommend bringing your own gloves and hand sanitizer. Aluminum and plastic bottles go into the orange net baskets (but should be separated). Large plastic gallons should be placed on top of small/standard water bottles. Glass bottles go into the grey plastic bins. If you come right before they open at 9AM, you'll likely run into 1-2 parties trying to be in and out of there as well. I always run into families here, but the community as a whole is pretty good about not hogging containers/baskets.

The nice guy had taught me that if I knew how many of each type I had, they could just pay out for those amounts. That's why I had everything written down on the outside of each bag. The "new guy" told me, "in the bins", and when I tried to explain what I had going, he just talked over me and said, "IN THE BINS MA'AM!". I tried to understand, or get him to explain, such as, was there a new owner? He never answered that instead just said, "limit of 15 for each type". So, I left. He was so rude! I thought the law was that if you pay a 5c deposit on a bottle, you're supposed to get 5c back?!

I estimate my payout based on quantity of aluminum and glass cans I had and CA CRV fee per each. I had about 30-60 of each; it was measured by weight. The payout matched my estimates. I received an itemized receipt and correct amount of cash. I had under 2 lbs of each type and their containers weigh 8.1 lbs. After they weigh my items in their container, 8.1 is subtracted. Since the payout matches my estimate - I think the weighing process is correct too. I also had a couple of plastic bottles on hand and they just hand counted them and paid me correctly. The employees work quick and the job is dirty so no one chats or smiles (understandably). One worker gave me brief pointers on how to sort my stuff. Others just gestured and silently keept up their quick pace. I plan to comeback. Note: limited parking. I came in on Saturday at opening and found plenty parking. But since it shares the driveway with In-N-Out, I wouldn't come in at lunch or dinner ours to avoid traffic jams.

I was looking to dispose of the remains of a fireplace and chimney, and this place was recommended…read moreto me by a friend who's dating someone in the family that owns this place. When I called to get more information, the receptionist was super friendly & helpful and let me know they could arrange to bring a dumpster to my house if I needed (but I didn't). She also gave me a general estimate over the phone. So when I finally rolled up with my load of bricks, I was totally preparing to talk fast to get the "friends and family" rate if she was wrong, but as she had estimated, the price was so cheap that I didn't even bother! My friend who was assisting me in dumping the bricks has more experience with LA dumps and even he was shocked at how cheap it was! So of course, this is primarily a cash-only transaction (they might take credit cards if your bill gets bigger, but I'd call and ask), so I had to leave my DL as collateral and hit the bank. The workers were totally cool & accommodating. So this is my big thank you to this company for making the disposal of a fireplace & chimney a fast, painless, and cheap process. Wish I had more business for them!
