My daughter was 13 at the time. Since then (now 23) my daughter has horrible TMJ issues; daily jaw pain, muscle nodes tension in the jaw, unaligned jaw bones, posture alignment issues. I am sickened! Please do not do this to your children! To add insult to injury Dr. Petty himself told me that he had this procedure done on himself to experience it and said it was fine. So 10 years later filled with pain and $$$$$ spent on attempting to alleviate the pain; there is still no end in sight.

My experience at Orthodontic Experts started well, but gradually deteriorated over time. Initially,…read morethe staff and doctor were friendly and attentive to questions, in addition to being transparent with my treatment plan. As time went on, I began to experience the effects of overbooking. I had several instances where I would show up on time and not be seen until 40 minutes later, with the doctor assessing my treatment for around two minutes before going to the next patient. There were also several times when I had to take work off to make appointments, only to be turned around because I was told the doctor wasn't in for that time slot. The experience reached its lowest point during my IPR treatment. The procedure was not properly explained beforehand, leading me to initially decline it. I was sent home without clarification, despite the next set of aligners being designed for IPR--a fact that had not been communicated earlier. As my aligners became increasingly tight and my teeth shifted unnaturally, I felt pressured to proceed with the IPR, as no alternative options were explained. My intent isn't to disparage the establishment, but to hopefully bring awareness and nuance so that whoever reads can be more informed of what they are getting themselves into.
