I recently had my 6 month cleaning and exam at Oak Dental Associates. I would HIGHLY recommend this office. The office staff is extremely friendly- they truly make you feel comfortable and welcome. They hygienist, Rita Bais was fantastic- she was extremely friendly and informative. My teeth feel great! Dr. Chris Pallotto is a gem! His attention to detail is unlike any dentist I have experienced. He also makes you feel very comfortable with his kind character. Texted me several times to confirm my appt and even asked me to come in earlier the day of my appointment. Then decided to call me at 1:52pm for a 2pm appt to tell me that the insurance provided was out of network. They took down all my information when I made the appointment and could've checked that long before 8 minutes before my appointment. Then had the audacity to try to sell me on their garbage cleaning plan when I clearly have insurance. Dont bother to go here they're lost. read more

I originally contacted Oak Dental about oral surgery for a family member. They did such an awesome job with the whole process of completing the surgery that I set up an appointment for myself. The staff was very patient and helpful in answering all of our questions. My family member was a little difficult to deal with and they were able to work with them and ease their fears and concerns. The office is clean and welcoming. Front office staff always greeted us with a smile and were helpful. The medical staff were also friendly and welcoming. They ask about your dental history and goals of treatment. They answer your questions and don't try to push you into getting a ton of unnecessary work. The wait time to go back after arrival was les than 10 minutes and once in the back work was started immediately. This was a welcoming change from the last dentist office I went to. In the past I've hated going to the dentist. Oak Dental Associates has changed that for me. read more

Drove by this dentist and decided to stop by to see about scheduling a new patient consultation. Apparently I was invisible to the girls behind the front desk who were gossiping away. I waited and finally approached them to look into making an appointment and ask some basic questions about the dentists, their facility etc and all I received was attitude. Not sure why but if this is any indication as to how they treat potential patients then maybe I dodged a bullet. First time going to the dentist in probably 10 years. On my insurance website it said the closest dentist to me was Oak Dental Associates. I yelped them and looked into reviews before making an appointment. The first time I tried making an appointment I was directed to the person at reception, or so I am assuming. It was on the 26th of December and I admit, only few minutes after they opened, but I was kind of desperate to make an appointment. After giving my information, she said a dentist would call me back to set up an appointment themselves. While waiting for the call I looked into other dentists to see if I could schedule something with no avail. So, as I thought, a dentist never called me back. I called back the following day and this time called around 9:30am. I had to enter my information again, but this time I got an awesome receptionist who said I could come in that day. I took a half day at work and went in. It's been a very long time since I have been there and everything went kind of quick, but I felt good after leaving. I'm not sure if they could contact my insurance company because the other lady at the front desk told me that the quote could be, "a little more or a little less". It kind of took me back because I didn't exactly know how much to expect. I'm new to my career field and definitely counting all the pennies I can. So, long story short I needed three wisdom teeth out. We set up an appointment for Dr. Osmalinski. I have to say, this was the best dental experience of my life. I was expecting a 30 minute or longer procedure with a lot of pain. Instead, I received about 3 minutes of pain before they said I was done. I never knew wisdom teeth could be pulled in under five minutes, but man that was impressive. I'm still convinced one of my wisdom teeth is in there because I have absolutely no pain coming from that spot. It was an awesome experience. The only thing I didn't really like either is that the original quote they gave me was one price and then on surgery day they were reviewing it with me and they added on the nitrous-oxide even though I told them originally that I just wanted the shot. That was an extra $250. I'm very glad they reviewed it with me before the surgery. It wasn't a big deal to take it off, but still a little odd that they added it in even though I said not to. It was probably just a mistake, but that would have definitely knocked me out of my price range and since they don't do payments without a credit card, I kind of would have been screwed. Good thing that the original quote quoted me higher than what my final bill was anyway. So, I'm glad it was a little less! Overall, this is a really solid dentist that I plan to come to for years to come. I already scheduled my cleaning with them and have a huge weight lifted off my shoulders because after so many years I finally have a dentist that's literally right down the street from me. Everyone was super nice there and very professional. The dental surgeon, Dr. Osmalinski, is insanely good at what he does. The only thing I didn't care for was the initial trying to get an appointment, and some billing problems. Everything was quickly taken care of though, but I still have to talk about it. read more

I was looking for a new dentist after moving to Oak Lawn. It was not an easy task. I'm a pretty easy patient. Not all offices are the same and some are really challenging. Through my insurance I found my forever dental office. Oak Dental, Dr.Chris Pallotto, his assistant, Aneta, Sarah and Rachel and all of the other lovely ladies I met were kind, professional and welcoming. I arrived 10 mins prior to fill out my paperwork and actually felt as if I'd been going there forever. A nice office, (tried to negotiate for the flowers), the staff were organized, knowledgeable and super efficient. My exam was thorough and gentle- Dr. Pallotto took time to explain my teeth issues, my options and recommended me to another professional for additional consult. Here's one more update... They seem to amaze me more and more! The staff are wonderful! I brought my husband n daughter to my cleaning appt. today. Of course my daughter was upset when I had to leave her in the waiting room. While I was in the middle of my cleaning, who do I hear behind me?? My daughter, wearing a princess crown and wand! She was so happy and the staff member said we are playing princess! So sweet!! What great people to take time out to make sure she calmed down. I would give them 10 stars if I could! I will start by saying I have had nothing but BAD experiences with dentists in the past - and I am so very thankful that I found this clinic! EVERYONE that I met yesterday was GREAT! I do not have dental insurance - and in the past the OTHER clinics made me feel like a second class citizen - NOT the folks at Oak Dental Associates PC. From the staff at the front desk to the technician's that helped me to Dr. Pallotto - I felt right at home - wonderful, caring professional's! I had a terrible experience at Oak Dental. I am a teacher so have decent insurance. Two weeks before my niece and nephew went to Dr. Osmalinski. Nothing went wrong except problems with the bill that were later clarified but unclear. I was referred to this oral surgeon by my dentist who also is my cousin. My niece and nephew and I are all from the neighborhood so I thought it would be great because of the proximity to home. I was so wrong! After several conversations with the receptionist Gina I had no idea if they were able to accept my insurance. I wanted to have that clarified before I can in so that I wouldn't be charged unnecessary fees. After the 4th conversation I was sure that my insurance was compatible for the procedure. I went in with my mother and waited a couple hours before I even went to the back to have Dr. Osmalinski start the procedure. My dentist that referred me wrote that it was a medical procedure to the office saying that the wisdom teeth were impacted. After listening to the receptionists gossip about their coworkers for close to two hours I finally get to see Dr. Osmalinski. He looks and sees that the two teeth are impacted from the X-rays that I brought from my dentist. He says that the two teeth are impacted and this will be a medical surgery. This will not be covered by your insurance. This literally took less than a minute. Now I've been in the oral surgeon office for 3 hours. I wasted my Mother's Day and my schedule is ruined because I am thinking I am going to have my surgery. This all could have been clarified over the phone by Gina through what my dentist wrote. Then like a month later I get a bill in the mail that details nothing that was discussed that day. They said it was a limited oral evaluation. They charged my insurance that they weren't even using. I would have paid it right then and there out of pocket. This super shady!!!!!!!! Then I couldn't even use this partial evaluation to get another referral to have the surgery. Basically I was billed to let me know if my insurance was accepted. So After this terrible experience I then end up going to Dr. Doot in Palos another oral surgeon. So much better! Oak Dental is very untrustworthy and I will be telling everyone I know to avoid their service so they don't have problems like I had. I am also providing this feedback to my dentist so that he doesn't refer more patients. Christopher P you are a joke and need to understand that was a truthful review and I do think you are super shady. Next time help your customers in a manner that is respectful. Your response is as offensive as your service was that day. I hope you and your staff can change your ways. Good luck because this was ridiculous read more

I never left a dentist's office in tears until today. Not because of the procedure that was done, but because of the personal treatment. Dr. Osmalinski had done an implant that became infected some time ago. After 2 other dentists told me I should have it removed, I returned to Oak Dental. He was more than abrupt in his care, not really giving the local time to take affect. After, he walked out without a word. His assistant shoved a piece of gauze in my mouth and told me to leave it there until I got home. Said I was done and that was that. No after care instructions about the stitches other than the average piece of paper they hand you which does not include that information. I should have asked him to treat me the way he would like to see his mother treated. read more

When my current dentist moved their office I sought out a closer one. Having never been too please with past dentists, I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism and cleanliness of the office and the staff. When I had to get cavities filled I had no pain or discomfort - the Dr. worked seamlessly. My young kids even feel comfortable here. Very happy with this practice. read more

Not only did he take my problems seriously but he actually cares about the patient. I went there far too long, it took 3 pair of dentures to be able to walk out of there. It's been 3 years and to this day I still have to use adhesive at least 4 times a day, and every time that I try and eat. I can no longer eat raw vegetable and most fruits. I have to cut almost everything up to eat it. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I love this dentist office. I just moved around the area this past summer and was looking for a new dentist and I came across this one. I looked at the reviews and thy were kind of low but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and so glad I did. I called for a last minute appointment and they did not have any openings left, but the receptionist told me she would put me on a wait list for if and when someone canceled for the weekend then they could squeeze me in. They called Friday afternoon and I was in! Loved that they did that for me because other places wouldn't even offer that to me. I walked in early Monday morning and the receptionist greeted me very politely and checked me in. Did my new patient paperwork and was seen within 15 mins or so they took me in. The dental hygienist I forgot her name unfortunately, she is such a sweetheart. She was so friendly and so polite. She took my X-rays and explained that I needed a deep cleaning. She checked my insurance to make sure I was covered and once I was in the clear she started right then and there. The process was painless and quick! She set me up with another appointment for the rest of the process, had the dentist evaluate me and I was out within an hour and a half since I was a new patient. Very pleased with this dentist office and see myself going here for many, many, many years. read more

I met Dr. Pallotto about a year ago and everything about the experience left a lasting impression. First off, when you walk in, the atmosphere is so inviting and comforting; it reminds me of when I used to go see my grandma, as a child. Then, there are the signs...not the blase Successories posters, but a wooden piece that says "All unattended children will be given espresso and a small puppy," and a wall decal that reads something like, "The best compliment you can give us is the referral of family an friends." Who would NOT feel their tension and apprehensions release, at this point? It gets better though. The receptionists are amazing and do everything in their control to help you understand the reality of insurance and payment plans, including calling your insurance company immediately, to clear up any confusion or misunderstandings. Also, when the next available appointment was 3 weeks out, I had an abscessed tooth, and she called in 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy, so I could at least relieve the pain and discomfort until I could get an appointment. What a huge relief! Then, as she promised, she called with a cancellation and got me in 2 weeks earlier! Dr. Pallotto was so good at explaining everything in Lehman's terms, and making you comfortable with understanding what to expect. Talking to him is like talking to someone you've known your whole life, and he is obviously very confident and comfortable in all of his knowledge and experience. I recommend him and his office to anyone and everyone! If you have any inhibitions....don't! Just go! You won't regret it! read more

Just left this office and I am very pleased with the experience. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly and Dr Pallotto has a great way about him. He has a good sense of humor but he knows his dentistry. The offices are clean and seem to offer the most current equipment. After mixed experiences with Dental services & results I was looking for a new provider. I settled on Oak Dental after a lot of research. Over the past year, I have had a fairly extensive amount of work done, extractions, partial denture, permanent bridge, implant (in process) along with routine cleanings etc. I have found the entire team to be professional, accommodating and very patient focused. They spent a lot of time laying out a plan for me given the amount of work to be done, coordinating timing with my insurance to maximize coverage and educating me along the way in terms of treatment. I was picky about much of this work, but they made sure I was happy with the results. I also appreciated that they took time to explain procedures and alternatives. I would highly recommend this team based on the amount of work I had done and my level of satisfaction with the end product (Very Happy). read more

I am very disappointed (to say the least)with my choice of using oak dental to start a very long process to get my teeth where I want them . I was very nervous and it took a lot to get myself to pull the trigger to start the process. Oak dental was a neighborhood place that was in my insurance network and they seemed to have great reviews on their site. However I have noticed that I can't write a review of my own on there. You do the math. To make a long story short . I am currently hospitalized with an infection that could have taken my life I was told shortly after having all my wisdoms extracted in their office. The surgeon was quick and not very helpful just wanted to get in and out I believe .When we called their so called emergency number nobody answered three or four times over.. Nice!!! We got a call back one hour later with no option to help us so we helped ourselves and I went to another doc and he advised me to get to emergency room immediately. I am deeply disappointed as well as upset with the lack of professionalism as well as negligence and will never go back there again . Take this a a warning I have spent the last three days in excruciating pain and am rethinking getting the Invisalign treatment which was my reason for this whole procedure in the first place! read more
