My regular hygienist left i believe she was so good and adorable. Seems as their service is going downhill, the last couple times i had another one and she is really rough and speeds through the cleaning, also the last couple times that i went to get a filling changed as it was old and the color had darkened, after changing it Dr. Kogionis noticed how it looked the same and said to come back "ill change it again" "i dont have the right color", went back again a few months later for another one and same thing happened with the same excuse! " i dont have the right color" How do you not prepare or check to see if you have everything before you drill down someone's teeth. The job was so bad that when i got home i couldn't even put on my retainers that i wear every night. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed AND pay cash. My family and I were long time patients of this practice for nearly 10 years. I never had any complaint about their services. Up until recently, I started noticing that their services have not been what they were. In mid 2018, I had an emergency and called the office. I was informed that Dr. Kogionis could not fit me in anytime soon so they referred me to a different office a few miles down. I was ok with that, however; the manner that Ashley had spoken to me was unacceptable. She was so RUDE! In May of 2019, I called and spoke to Ashley again. Asked her to please send a predetermination to my insurance for my son's replacement retainer. When this Pre-D came back, the lovely Ashley called me to inform me that the retainer was covered by the insurance company (that they are contracted with) but Dr. Kogionis decided not to accept the amount the insurance was willing to pay them and that I should go elsewhere or pay for the services myself. She indicated that they can pick and choose who to see or what to accept. I called my insurance and was informed that they cannot do that. I filed a grievance against them and transferred my family's care elsewhere! 10 years of being a patient down the drain. IT HAS OPENED UP THE DOOR FOR BETTER DENTAL CARE AT FLOSS!! I am in the medical field and I would NEVER have spoken to any of my patients or treat them in the manner that this office treated me! Ashley is so rude and inconsiderate and for Dr. Kogionis to allow this type of behavior is unacceptable. read more

Dr. Kogionis is the best dentist I have ever been a patient of (I'm 52, been to many dentists). I would rate his staff as highly as I rate him. I live in Valparaiso Indiana and travel almost an hour just to go to him, I think that says volumes. They are great with my kids as well. Best dentist I have ever been too. When you have appointment at 1pm. Your seeing him at 1pm. Does great work and with the most updated equipment. I was referred to him by a friend and I have since sent two people too him. He doesn't advertise because he doesn't need too. Dr. Kogionis has been our family dentist for many years but unfortunately the service has gone downhill!! About 2 months ago a tooth he replaced several years ago fell out so I went in to have it repaired and about a month later the same tooth came loose again!! I was very alarmed so I called the emergency number to have it repaired because I was going out of town the next day, but no one bothered to call me back until the next day!! What's the use of having an emergency number if you don't have the curtesy to call your patients back!! When they called me back the next day I was already out of town with my tooth barely hanging on and unable to eat solids! The person on the phone told me that he couldn't see me when I got back in town until the following week so the two options she offered were, they could refer me to another dentist or I would have to fine one on my own!! I was extremely disappointed of the insensitivity toward my situation and also at the fact that, when I went in to have the tooth repaired the first time, Dr K didn't offer a permanent solution instead of patching it up and charging the insurance every time this happened!! Well, as the person on the phone recommended, I did find another dentist and he immediately offered 3 permanent solutions!! read more

Very disappointed. I have been a patient of Dr. Kogionis for years and I have a semi-emergency and I can't get an appointment util 1-8-15. Unfortunatley, I have an ongoing problem with my crown and I get infections which is very painful and I need to take antiboitics. The receptionist stated that there was nothing she can do. Well, I know I can't go for 16 days with this infection and pain so I will have to find another dentist. read more
