Evergreen Tree Care's people did a great job on my property! This was the first time I hired them and plan to engage them for a regular tree upkeep. In addition to tree trimming, pruning, and removal, they did a lot of underbrush removal. One particularly misshapen oak tree got a new lease on life by one of the ETCs arborists. I recently made the mistake of buying a house in Brentwood that has a ton of trees on it - LOL! These trees have apparently not been taken care of in quite a while, and they needed LOTS of work, including two large trees that needed removing plus stump grinding. Gary Sr. came out and gave his expert advice and very reasonable quote on how much the work would cost. Scheduling the work was a breeze, and the office staff were very helpful over the phone during the entire process. The day of the work, Gary Sr sent two crews out and met them here to give them an overview of all the work required. The crews did a great job and were finished and everything cleaned up in about 6 hours. I know that going forward these trees will need regular maintenance, and I plan on working with ETC to set up a regular maintenance (pruning, trimming, topping, etc) schedule. (Now I just need a good psychiatrist to help me understand why I bought a house with so danged many trees on it, haha!) read more

They were responsive, clearly understood what went wrong with our other tree and what needed to be done with our redwood, and provided a fair estimate. I cannot recommend Gary and his crew enough. We have used them a few times over the past 10 years and they are always reliable, professional and reasonably-priced. Yesterday we had the top half of a live oak break off and fall onto our road, partially blocking it. I emailed Gary last night and he came out this morning to assess. Since it was a relatively small job he was able to have his crew come out today and take care of it in about an hour when I wasn't even here. They even saved me some money by fitting the job between other work already scheduled for the day. Between my initial email and the work done it was about 16 hours. Gary, Jared and crew are the benchmark for their profession. For several years they have maintained our trees and we have been impressed by their professionalism, reliability, courtesy and fairness. But I would get mildly annoyed when they would have to delay trimming for a week or so due to an "emergency." Now I understand. One of our huge oaks fell on the bedroom. At 5 am. Gary was there at 8 am. Our major and tricky removal project was completed thoughtfully and with care, promptly and neatly. Where there we alternatives we discussed them. They came highly recommended by experts in the tree care community, and so I expected they may be overpriced and too busy (as so many coveted vendors are). However, they swooped in when we were in the really tough position of losing the 200 year old oak tree growing through our deck, and their 5-star level of service made all the difference throughout the painful removal process. This is a family run business. Very professional. Returned my call promptly and came right out for an estimate. They were able to do the work the following morning. I had a broken limb caught up in the tree needing urgent attention. They took care to not damage surrounding plants or objects. Moved a few things and took the care to put them back after they raked up. They removed all the debris and left no trace of being there other than a safe tree with the precarious branch removed. They gave my huge cedar tree an inspection and recommended the needed trimming which will be done in the future as this is the wrong time of year to trim a cedar tree. Very knowledgable certified arborist. Gary knows his stuff. His wife, Linda in the office is very friendly as is Gary Jr. Jarrod, Gary's other son was my tree trimmer and he was quick and professional. Great job, very knowledgeable. After getting bids to trim our 250-year-old Champion oak tree that stands at about 75 feet, Gary and his team were about the same price as the other quality tree trimming services. However, instead of a 4-day job they were in and out in a day. They were careful of the tree, house and lawn and the tree still looks awesome. Very unprofessional!!! My husband called a few weeks ago, was told we would get a call back from Gary to make an appointment for an estimate. NEVER HAPPENED. I called earlier this week, not knowing my husband had already called this particular company. I called on a Friday and left a message. I received a call back the following Tuesday, which was fine. With the weekend, I didn't mind the few days to get a call back. But then I was told someone would drive by, do a visual and put together a quote and that I would receive it if not at the end of the week, then by Tuesday the following week at the latest. My friends reminded me to read the negative reviews before I signed the contract with them. I think I made the right choice after the arborist Gregg came over a couple of times for the estimation.
