Everlasting Elopements really saved us! Locally, for us, a wedding that we dreamed of would have cost us around $5,000. Yes we had to travel about 4 hours to use them but for a chance to get exactly what we pictured without the huge $$ (which that's why y'all built this company in the first place is to truly help people). Only true downside is some family members couldn't travel. That's how weddings go can't get everything to a T truly and that's okay. We signed a contract with Everlasting Elopements to help plan a wedding. We signed the contract with the intent to use a specific restaurant. Come to find out the restaurant does not offer wedding services. They claimed they could provide us with other options, but then tried to up charge us to provide the other options. We promptly asked for a refund from Everlasting Elopements after that. They said it would be 5-7 days to receive a refund of $1133 it has been well over a month and no refund. This is a major disappointment - people use services like Everlasting Elopements because they are on a budget, so when we are scammed out of such a large amount of money, it hurts. read more

Carri, who is the owner of Everlasting Elopements was unbelievably unprofessional. She was very put out with us any time we had a question. She did not introduce herself at the wedding. The flowers were awful and the cake was not edible.. She asked my daughter and Husband to walk down the aisle before the music even started playing. She is really almost impossible to work with. One of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had. She promised a partial refund, but I never saw it. She turned what could've been a beautiful day with just a little bit of cooperation from her into a really sad experience. I've never paid for a service and received such unprofessionalism. This site is a brilliant service that could be a five star business if it weren't for the owner, Kari. She really has no business being in this industry. Usually people in the wedding industry are bubbly, kind, reassuring, want to help you create the best day ever; not Kari. I may not have experienced all the "condescending" tone TOO MANY others have described in their reviews, but she definitely is extremely short and has zero ability to exemplify professionalism in her emails/texts/calls to you. We decided last minute for a small ceremony, as I thought I'd regret not having dad walk me down the aisle. The idea of Everlasting Elopements is genius. They take care of mostly everything for you. I can tell you that my stress levels were nothing compared to the average bride. My biggest complaint about EE is that after receiving final payment, I was ghosted. You're supposed to receive a call 1 week before the big day. I emailed 6 days prior, asking when the call would take place so that I could fit it into my busy schedule. No response. 3 days before the wedding: no call, no text, no email (weird because before final payment, she always responded within 24 hours.) I honestly thought for a second that I bought into a scam. After finally answering my phone call, (3 days before the wedding!), she was short and unapologetic. Had her on speaker and even my sisters gave me that look of ew, this lady kinda sucks. On the day of my wedding, one of my best friends (without knowing any of my issues with Kari) comes up to me and says, "wow, that lady is so rude". So even to guests, she's not a pleasant person. If you can tolerate her, use her service, bc again, it really is a convenient service. It really does take care of mostly everything and relieves a lot of the usual stress the average bride goes through. (Aside from her ghosting you.) But if there is a similar company out there with better reviews, use their service bc being professional isn't that difficult. Oh but the videographer, Crystal, and photographer, Danielle were INCREDIBLE. What a dream team dynamic duo. They were definitely the best part about EE! I was looking back at my wedding photos from 2021 and had to circle back to make everyone knows how much trouble Everlasting Elopements was. Photos ticked me off all over again. I left a review on another site, but I saw their Google rating which CANNOT be accurate. So, here I am. With my experience, the delayed responding to emails when I was trying to organize is one thing... But, What killed me most (and almost quite literally lead to a breach of contract lawsuit) was when they double booked us and we had to move our date and inconvenience our small number of guests traveling not only from out of the state, but one family traveling from out of the country. Then, the audacity to let me know less than one week before that the 2 hours we BOOKED, PAID FOR, CONTRACTED FOR, would be cut to one hour for some reason or another that made no sense at the time. I have ample emails from this incredibly unprofessional, disorganized group. Maybe things have changed since 2021, but if not, see my attachments. I have ample emails to support everything I am writing, plus support for a host of other issues we experienced. Thankfully, I was able to completely go around this company, call the facility myself, and work something out with them that allowed for the full 2 hours. What is most disgusting is the facility (Georgetown, Lincoln Chapel) never even heard from Everlasting Elopements about an issue, about trimming to 1 hour, or about working something out. Meaning Everlasting Elopements, for some reason, told us less than one week before that we now only had 1 hour, but Lincoln Chapel never heard about this. Thus, whatever Everlasting Elopements messed up, they didn't even try to work anything out on our behalf. They just gave the "*shrug*, sorry, oh well" type responses. Everlasting Elopements just trimmed our time for no apparent reason and didn't work for us. Garbage. All it took was a call from me to Lincoln Chapel to fix the issue. After I told the representative all the trouble we faced through Everlasting Elopements, she literally ended the call with "bless your heart." Trash. Finally, I've also attached a photo from the ceremony and you can easily point out the Everlasting Elopement workers. This is not at all a knock on them personally, they were great. I reached out trying to have them help me coordinate my wedding and what fits my budget. But they take forever to answer and when they do the answers are short fused and show no kindness or remark whatsoever. I ended up hiring an event coordinator and looking for vendors on my own because they always took forever to answer. I totally understand taking some time because you have other clients but they show no interest in trying to make you feel special and like your planning is just as important. I constantly thanked them for being so patient and helpful, and apologizing if I didn't include enough information or the proper informations but they were always so short fused. What was supposed to be a great day. Turned into a frustrating time dealing with the wedding planner. Pictured is a text messages with her arguing and telling me first to check my spam, to it's not time yet, to photographer hasn't sent them yet. I had already spoken to the photographer who said she sent the photos 14 days after the wedding. Last Thursday. Throughout our whole process she constantly told us how long she has been planning weddings, and how we are doing it wrong. We are supposed to get a call one week prior to the wedding. The week before... no call. I had to call 3 days before the wedding only to be met with attitude in not knowing I will get a call one week prior to the wedding. Somehow she thinks 3 days was longer than a week and not needed. We did get barraged with emails about the "one week before" call, and we had to take it. But she felt the need to talk down to me as if I didn't know how to read. Her excuse was that she was sick... So were we, but we still had to work. She claims to say she rushed us because of our guests comfort. All of our guests knew the weather and were okay to do what we needed to do. Just because the planner was cold, we all had to deal with her attitude to rush us. Thank GOD we did not trust them to take the Wedding Certificate in. Who knows when it would have happened. Everlasting Elopements coordinator arrived at my bridal suite 5 mins prior to ceremony starting, handed me a bouquet of flowers that had already begun to wilt, and the satin wrap unraveling. Flower choice for my bouquet were Hydrangea (upcharge even though they were in season), Carnations, and Babies breath. There were no carnations in the bouquet. The coordinator was unprepared, lacked proper time management, and had zero empathy. She acquired warm champagne for my reception while enroute and wasn't tracking my ritual correctly. She didn't bring the runner or rose petals for the aisle. I paid for floral adornments on the cake, which weren't provided. When the coordinator was asked about it, she said, "the cake normally comes plain," and proceeded to pull baby's breath from the altar arrangements, which she stuck into the cake like birthday candles. There was no care for the cake's final appearance. The mini reception should've included enough champagne for 20 guests. The coordinator brought 1 bottle of un-chilled champagne (the company disputes this, they say she brought two [warm] bottles). My husband and I had a full glass for our toast, with guests having the equivalent of a swallow (or two) (also disputed by EE). Since the coordinator, arrived 5 minutes prior, she didn't obtain the passcode for my device, and refused to allow music to be played from other, readily available devices. So there was no music during our event. Lastly, our marriage license wasnt filled completely, so I was turned away when I attempted to have it recorded, leaving my husband and I scrambling to have this fixed. My guests stepped up, assisted the coordinator with setup and tear down for the ceremony, the set up the ritual, they fixed the coordinators floral mess on my cake, and tried to step in and address the music issue. If it weren't for them, my ceremony would have been a disaster. Everlasting Elopements oversold their abilities and under performed. On 25 May 2024, the owner (Kari) responded to my review on weddingwire.com. SHE WOULD SPEAK TO ME IF I REMOVED MY REVIEW FIRST. I refused planning to update my review AFTER resolution was reached. The owner wasn't present at my wedding but would not accept witness statements and disputes my recollection of the level of service provided that day. Kari (the owner) offered to refund the missing runner, flower petals, cake adornments, and coordination fee BUT ONLY IF I AGREED TO 'UPDATE' MY REVIEW FIRST. REFUNDS FOR GOODS/SERVICES THAT AEREN'T PROVIDED, SHOULDN'T HAVE CONDITIONS, so I discontinued communication, accepting they would keep my money and my review woukd remain as is. NEARLY 4 MONTHS LATER, on 3 September 2024, Everlasting Elopements disputed my review on weddingwire.com, attempting to have it hidden and ultimately removed! PLEASE pay special attention to the negative reviews. There is something there! Good luck! *Special notes from my experience* (1) DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THE PACKAGES ARE NOT FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE. They never reduce the cost. You have to pick the package that 'fits best' even if it contains services you don't want or need. You can add services but cannot remove them to reduce cost. (2) All communication (from the initial contact to planning your wedding day) will be via email and on online surveys. (3) It's nearly impossible to reach a person in a timely manner. (4) If you'll be using your own venue, I suggest you obtain written assurance from Everlasting Elopements stating they understand and agree to adhere to your venue's requirements. I would also discuss any additional charges associated with this (because they'll likely upcharge for this). (5)There's an upcharge for nearly everything. Keep this in mind because it can become costly. (6) Their contract states that they can refuse to provide services at any time. The Good: The day-of wedding coordinator Alyssa and the photographer Danielle were outstanding and absolutely lovely to work with. They truly went above and beyond to make everything run as smoothly as possible, especially after the chaotic start to our wedding. The cake and flowers were amazing and beautiful as well. The Bad: Kari, the boss of this operation, was the complete opposite of pleasant to work with. Her customer service is awful, almost every email exchange from her was condescending, even when I tried to voice my concerns about paying for services not needed or requested, nor ultimately rendered. Who likes to pay for services they did not request nor receive?? The Ugly: The day of the wedding, our family members arrived at the venue and learned that according to the venue, there was no record of the wedding nor was paperwork properly filed by Everlasting Elopements. Our family members had to help with the setup because the venue had no idea about the wedding we booked and paid for months in advance. Because the venue was not prepared for us, we were not able to use the bridal or groom suites to dress into our wedding attire (although this was a perk for this particular venue and Kari also previously assured me that we would be able to use the suites). This was all extremely distressing to say the least. We paid $1,000 for the venue, was any of that actually given to the venue or kept by Everlasting Elopements, we're not sure. Additionally, in my email exchanges with Kari I repeatedly told her that we would be providing our own officiant as the website promotes that "all packages can be customized to a couple's exact needs so they are only paying for the services they truly need," which is very misleading and not a true statement at all since we were forced to pay for an officiant we did not request or utilize. This was far from "stress free planning" - also a direct quote from their website. It was also very shady that we had to pay before even viewing the contract. Kari then basically strongarmed us into signing a contract we did not completely agree with as we did not want to have to pay for officiant services when we had our own officiant and we actually handled the ceremony and paperwork entirely ourselves. The contract was competely tailored to her liking, not ours. I was naive and am guilty of being loyal to a fault since this was the first wedding planning service I reached out to and felt forced into entering into this contract. The reason they don't want to give up having couples pay for officiant services is because this is a husband-wife business in which the husband is a minister and the wife is a wedding planner so they are only looking out for themselves and not properly serving their clients. I would very strongly advise to proceed with caution before working with this woman. It is unfortunate that she has such a great staff working under her thumb. READ ON! I'm only giving one star for the Photographer portion of the wedding. My daughter was married 10-28-22 and the Photographer who worked her wedding is not recommended at all. About 50% of the photos she took are out of focus, missing part of head, other people that are not part of wedding in the photos, lots of shadows in photos, no coordination on the group shots. We only paid for 45 photos, but she could not even figure out how to send only the ones we selected so she charged us additional $75.00 and released all the crappy photos she took and charged additional for. I'm going to contact Everlasting Elopements and ask that this additional charge be refunded in full. I will post follow up of outcome. 12-02-22: UPDATE - You would not beleive the threats from this company after I said I would dispute the charges with my credit card company. I have received nasty, emails EVERY DAY from Everlasting Elopements with threats of legal actions, also with threats of additional charges. They are so adamant about being right, even when they are wrong they do not even know their own contract . They had the nerve to tell me I would be legally pursued for over $700.00 in additional charges for late start on wedding, they say in this email that venue was only for 60 minutes and we went over by 20 minutes, which I do not think is correct. Plus the documents they emailed to me when we booked with them say 60-90 minutes is what was paid for. I guess they can't tell time. And their contract says that any late fees have to be paid before they will sign marriage license. The reason they are now saying they will pursue these TRUMPED UP charges is because I WILL NOT REMOVE MY REVIEW. They never asked for any money before signing marriage license and they never said anything about late fees until my negative post they don't like. They have contacted me everyday this week with threats to take down my review. They said in every email, take down your review and we will refund you, basically they are committing blackmail., THEY ALSO said they would charge us with Theft of Service..... For what a bad review? I was QUOTED $145.00 for chair rental based on 20 people. I was charges $200.00. It looks like they quoted their price without their markup and refuse to acknowledge the quote and their error. She explained how we were going to walk out, she took the music and had everything ready for us. The officiant did a great job of delivering the script making the ceremony feel like he's known us for years. The photographer did a great job of capturing the moments, after he got plenty of family photos for us. The entire ceremony was beautiful we had great weather and fantastic people running the event. I don't know where to begin on my horrible experience with Everlasting Elopements. I could write a really long story but don't want to waste anymore time than I already have. Bottom line is I had the absolute worst nightmare come true. At the very last minute- the day before my destination wedding- I find out they hadn't ordered ANY of my flowers (bouquets, bouttineres, corsage, flower petals and aisle floral decor)-- even though I filled out a flower form with discoid details. I had to make an emergency order and pay for it separately, even though it was supposed to be included in my package. After that, it was one thing after another on my wedding day: 1) my Cake and gift tables were not on order; ended up only receiving the cake table 2) the color of chair sashes were peach, not pink 3) they left out acknowledging past loved ones in the ceremony-- very, very upsetting. After the minister pronounced us husband and wife, I was like.. umm is he going to acknowledge my grandparents?? We were supposed to turn around to the guests but instead I was asking him about it. He said I'm sorry I don't know anything about that. And instead of a big smile on my face I was so upset!! 4) cake was horrible and dry 5) too many chairs and tables delivered 6) the coordinator did not know how to pin the bouttineres- pins were sticking out and the bouttineres were falling 7) even though I filled out a long form asking for specific details about the ceremony, it was not communicated to the coordinator at the ceremony so She was asking me questions about how I wanted things-I already answered in the form and the last thing I wanted to do was COORDINATE the wedding!!!!!!!! 8) the aisle floral decor was a joke and expensive I spoke to The owner, Kari, just hours before my wedding and I just couldn't believe my ears. She was so rude. She was accusing me of being confused about what I ordered (I have proof of what I ordered and she still said I was wrong) and blaming me for not catching their mistakes. I felt completely defeated and cheated. My father graciously paid for a wedding coordinator service and that is not what we got-- at all. I tried my best not to break down on my wedding day. I was so upset not only by all the things that went wrong with my order but by the way Kari was speaking to me. Absolutely NO compassion or let me fix this and make it all better. She did not budge and she was completely out of line. Kari has no clue 1) how to treat people in the Customer service industry, 2) she does not comprehend follow thru 3) she does not understand that the industry she chose to attempt to build a company in requires compassion, thorough communication, attention to detail, etc. and 4) lastly I am positive she purposefully left out a very important part of my ceremony, where Everlasting Elopements asked me if I wanted to acknowledge past loved ones, which I did,.. and somehow that was not communicated to the minister or the coordinator. If anyone wants to hear more about my experience please feel free to contact me. There are so many things you need to look out for, but while in the middle of planning a wedding and with everything going on (not to mention COVID interruptions) you'll want to make sure you don't miss anything and then you have to suffer for it. I was ready to be thrilled with the simplicity and ease of working with this company, but I've since been disappointed. Before signing the contract, the staff reached out to confirm the venue I wanted was available for the date and time. BEFORE signing the contract, I asked it we could move it up an hour and if that would require a contract change to reflect this request. The staff said moving up an hour would not be a problem and that there was no need to update the contract to reflect this. This was discussed three months before the wedding. Two weeks before the wedding I reached out to confirm the time shift and they told me that they would have to check in with the venue. The day before the wedding my message was returned and it turned out that the time could not be moved. This is not a huge issue, but I felt a bit like I was pressured into signing a contract with incorrect information on the promise that the time could easily be switched, which was not the case. In response, the company wrote, "...as you know the VENUE never got back with us in regards to moving your time up as requested on 12/12/19. During the holiday's many venues staff members take time off, etc and in your case the event coordinator from the VENUE was on vacation and she is the only one who has the power to change times." I would understand this response more if I had not requested a change in time in August BEFORE signing the contract. On the day of the wedding the staff were 30 minutes late, so nothing was set up before people started to arrive. When the staff arrived, they had to ask me what we had paid for and how to set everything up, which I was surprised by. There was also a mix up with the flowers and they did not arrive, so there were no flowers of any kind at the ceremony. I was promised a refund for this, the staff writing to me, "As I stated before we have already issued you a refund for the flowers. Please let us know if you have not received it." It has been over a month and I have yet to receive a refund for the missing florals despite contacting the company to request guidance on how the refund will be processed. We opted for a mini reception with champagne and cake cutting. We paid extra per person for this service. Only two bottles of champagne were provided for 50 people and they were both warm. If I had known that the extra per head did not include champagne I would have brought additional, chilled bottles. I understand if the extra fees were not covering more alcohol, but I wish this had been clearly communicated so that I could plan accordingly. I brought this up in my follow up email, but it was never addressed. The photographer and officiant were wonderful and performed a lovely, short ceremony - which is what we wanted. The photos are lovely. I think the cost overall was reasonable. I am more disappointed in the response I received from the company after the event. I felt that they did not address my concerns and blamed me for choosing a difficult venue, writing, "I'm sure you noticed that is quite a hike to the X VENUE and your officiant was helping THE PLANNER (in heels) track everything to the VENUE." I am surprised by this response, as it implies that they would have been on time had a chosen another location. However, if this is a difficult location for the company to work with, I would think they would have expressed that early on in the process. read more

One of the more unprofessional service companies we've encountered: 1) First they pushed our appointment by 30 minutes at the exact time ours was starting; not the end of the world, but if they needed an extra 30 minutes they knew that before the exact time we were starting and failed to communicate 2) When we tried to log on at the second/delayed time, an error message kept popping up. We then tried calling the phone number and no answer (3 times) ... the fourth time a very rude woman answered phone and quipped "You keep calling and every time you call he can't log onto zoom" ... ummm, ok, I'm paying you for a service and you're having tech issues and you wan't to take attitude with me because you're failing at good service? 3) We drop the phone and try logging on for the next 5 minutes, keep getting error (despite us not calling the entire time) 4) They then call and say "we're having tech issues" (you think?); we'll send a new zoom ... they say they send one, no link comes through ... another 10 minutes of trying and it finally goes through You can have tech issues/bad service, and you can have an attitude, and either one in isolation is acceptable, but to have an attitude when providing tech issues/bad service is pretty bad Reverand was nice and all and spent 5 minutes on our ceremony, but the damage above was already done read more

I originally chose everlasting bc of all the good reviews, my wedding was on 6/12/2024, for starters I asked to speak to someone over the phone during the planning and was denied, I was told everything had to be through email. I understood to an extent, they were terrible at sending instructions for the next step and communication, I was sent links to choose my flowers and cake etc... I even paid extra for the cake a tad over $100 total bc I wanted specifics. fast forward to the day of my wedding, it's literally 3 hours prior and no one has contacted me for instructions etc STILL! our reverend and photographer were amazing. but the bouquet I was sent looked nothing like the options or even colors I chose. and the cake that was unboxed and delivered to me was delicious but for $100 was literally the size of a glorified cupcake! now we're several weeks past the wedding and my photographer has sent me a link to my photos bc everlasting has once again failed to communicate and send me the link they received for my photos (which I also paid extra for) I watch their fb page and they are continually posting weddings that were done up to 2 weeks after mine and I've still heard nothing. I'm not usually one to complain or even leave reviews but I just feel like when you spend that amount of money for your day, communication at the very least would be nice and helpful. read more

We booked the small deluxe wedding package at Chapel Dulcinea in the hill country. Our day was lovely. Throughout the planning time (we booked a little over two months out) the Everlasting Elopement staff was easy to get a hold of and answered all my emails quickly. The day of everyone was on time and everything went smoothly. It was freezing cold the day of and they even brought some blankets and a cute sign for the guests. Our officiant was perfect, easy to work with, and so kind. He showed up on time, prepared, and was very calming to talk to. Tim should just officiate all the weddings! My photographer was great and we LOVE our pictures. It can be a little nerve wracking not knowing which of the photographers you will get but Ashley was phenomenal. Everyone has commented how nice our photos are, especially when you are working within a 90minute time frame from arrival/ getting ready, to ceremony, to reception, to having to be off property. I wish the weather had been nicer so the groom and I could have taken more photos of us but the weather turned miserable cold that day and everyone was in a hurry to get out of the cold. The florist let me trade my floral arrangements that come with the package for upgraded flowers for my bouquet which was perfect. My mini reception was set up nicely with a cake stand, serving ware, and alcoholic and non alcoholic toasting options. I have no complaints at all but there are a few things I wished were a little different: I wish the included flowers list wasn't so basic, none of those flowers look formal at all. But if you are planning something informal in theme this may not be an issue. I think this should be listed prior to your contract that the floral options are so limited (if it is, I couldn't find it anywhere). I included pictures that include my bouquet so you can see upgraded options. The cake should include some decoration beyond frosting. I'm glad I specifically asked beforehand and brought a cake topper. I would have been sad if the cake had been totally bare the day of. But the cake itself was tasty and transported in perfect shape. The photographer sends you a link afterwards with additional photos you can buy beyond the included photos. If they are going to edit and show you all the pictures anyway I would have much preferred to pick my photos instead of my "package" photos being picked for me. The upgrade fees aren't unreasonable but they add up quick and can quickly defeat the purpose of having a budget package wedding. Overall we have no complaints and have already recommended Everlasting Elopements to others. This is a terrible, unprofessional, unorganized company with no sense of urgency or time management. The wedding planner had nothing but a tent sent up by the time the bride was supposed to be walking down the isle. My family paid for the premium package and got a package worth $50. All of the guest in attendance had to stand for the wedding ceremony! We had to bring our own personal fold up chairs for our elderly family members to have a seat. There was no generator for the DJ, no tiki torches, no arch of flowers, no PA system for the minister, the videographer was a no-show. The minister was delayed 2 hours! Most of the wedding patrons had to use lights from their cell phones to see the food on their plate. By the time the lights were set up, it was already dark outside. There was supposed to be a s'more station with an attendant serving the guest. This person was also a no show. I wouldn't waste your time or money with this company. The list goes on with items and people who were missing for this wedding ceremony. This was supposed to be the best day ever for my family, but it ended up being a nightmare. read more

My husband and I got married last year in a "civil ceremony" in Corpus Christie, TX. Although we were having a very small ceremony, we were a little bit stressed out as we currently live in Houston, and needed to drive to Corpus for the wedding on the very same of the ceremony; that meant everything had to be very well planned in order to avoid any inconvenient that day. With that said, Chloe and Shawna were always helpful, reachable at all times and always willing to answer my questions. Kudos to them! Then, on the ceremony date, Rev. Esparza went above and beyond to execute the most romantic ceremony we could have ever thought. Honestly, we never expected to find an officiant who will deliver such a genuine ceremony. However, I would not give 5 starts because I want to bring to the company's attention Kari Esparza's lack of customer service skills. She always showed to be annoyed by my emails. For example we didn't want the services of cutting the cake being that we want to do that for our family and friends we want to give that personal touch this is what I received in return via email. I'll be honest in saying I don't think our services fit your DIY wedding and you'd be better off planning all details yourself. I booked an available time on their website and received confirmation emails only to be called a few hours later letting me know that the time was not available and that they could do it earlier or the next day. I explained that I was unavailable and would be flying out that night because I am active duty. They refused to give me a refund because their policy states "no refunds" which I could understand if it was my fault it was canceled. Extremely unprofessional and refused to resolve the issue and then lied and said they had offered a virtual ceremony. Do not go here! We had a much better accommodating experience with Louis Jensen at Bexar County Marriages AND he beat their rate as well which was a plus. read more

The process was relatively easy! You just choose which package you would like and complete a questionnaire with certain specifics you would like for the day! Since there isn't an office to meet at, a lot of the communication is done through email and phone calls, which can sometimes lead to miss communications. In the end, the day was perfect! We did have a slight hiccup with the limo not showing up (and not getting a refund) but we decided to not let that ruin the amazing day we had. Early March my husband and I decided to cancel our wedding, alerting the wedding party on March 13, 2020 due to the pandemic. We started to look for alternatives, we settled on Texas Wedding Ministries. We decided to have a virtual zoom wedding, I called and talked to several people at Texas Weddings Ministries who talked to me about the process and asked that I call Everlasting Elopements to ask more questions about who would officiate and what would be said. We paid for the virtual wedding on June 15, 2020 through Texas Wedding Ministries website, we decided it would be nice to have a recording and paid for that on June 25, 2020 directly with Everlasting Elopements. From that moment on my customer service experience started to decline rapidly. I was told I would know and could choose what the officiant would say for a Christian non-denominational wedding. When I sent an email to inquire on Jul 6, 2020, Kari dismissed my request saying, "So we do not send vows for these quick $75 ceremonies. When you reserved it asked you if you wanted religious or non-religious vows. All vows are non-denominational. I'll make a note you are requesting to see them but I can't guarantee they will be sent. Let us know if you have any other questions." She never sent any information about the ceremony and what would be said. I explained although she considered this virtual wedding a quick wedding, it's my wedding nonetheless and it's an important day. No reply to anything. I was originally told I would be told what would be said during the wedding by Texas Ministries website. The day of July 11, 2020 the virtual zoom wedding was supposed to start at 3:00pm, at 3:01 Kari text me they'll be on the call shortly they were having connection issues. I text her back at 3:06pm to see how things were going, she said Zoom was making them do an update which was taking a while and they were at the port for a beach wedding so the internet was spotty on the island. Now it's 3:17pm, I asked if there is someone in the San Antonio office to officiate. No reply. During this entire time my mother was on the phone with a cousin who's also a pastor as a backup, I didn't think we would be able to proceed. At 3:18pm the reverend let us into the zoom call. Once we were on the zoom call, it was obvious they were unprepared, as Kari mentioned in her email $75 virtual weddings aren't important to Everlasting Elopements, they were using a cellphone for the ceremony. I asked that they make me the host so I can record it from my end as they struggled to get the phone adjusted. I use Zoom daily at work and know that from a cellphone you can not record a full screen video from a cell phone. Kari said she didn't know how to do that, so we proceeded. At the time it seemed as if she didn't want to provide host privileges, not that she didn't know how. As a company that advertises virtual weddings, I find it hard to believe they don't know how to grant host privileges. The officiant did a good job, that went well. Overall, this experience has been lower than a one start rating if I could rate this Everlasting Elopements as zero stars I would. Kari is rude, no customer service skills and they were unprepared. Every wedding is important, doesn't matter if it's $75 or $40,000. Since July 11, 2020 I have called six times, left voicemails and emailed six times. One email, the only reply to all my emails on Jul 18, 2020 said, "Our marketing manager is working on it I will follow up with her." I've received nothing else. I know that don't have a video, it's not possible to create a full screen video from a cellphone that was wobbling and not even turned in the correct direction. No one will speak with me or email me back. I'm disputing the charge for the video payment; I haven't received the wedding video I paid for. Like other people have said, I wouldn't recommend this company for anything beyond a quickie elopement. Future brides and grooms, to you I would recommend that you take the small amount of effort to research vendors that you can trust working with. It will save you stress and money. The problems I experienced were: Coordinator ($150) did not count to make sure the number of guests matched the place settings; reserved/paid/confirmed for 24 and only 18 places were set. Officiant that I requested was not the one that showed up: no notification was given. We had chosen an officiant that matched our beliefs and changed our vows to match our beliefs as well. Fifty percent (50%) of changes requested in our vows actually materialized in the moment. ($200) Purchased flowers for ceremony ($250) and they were taken by the coordinator after the ceremony. This price, or contract, does not the reflect a rental of daisies for 45 minutes. When the coordinator, who left part way through the meal, was contacted to return the flowers, she said, "that's not how this works" and refused to bring them back. That's not how florists work. The flow of the wedding didn't go well; everything was late. The cake was late and coordinator had different answers for why. She told one guest it was in the freezer downstairs and when the guest went to get it, it wasn't there. Then she told another guest that she forgot it and had to go get it. I don't know if this held up lunch being served, but even if it wasn't there on time it should not have thrown off the timing so much. The catering at the Japanese Tea Gardens seemed unorganized and the lack of coordination did not help the situation. I had to make sure people had extra plates, condiments, etc. Embarrassing that common sense things had to be worked out between me and kitchen staff. The quality of my bouquet ($99) and the cake ($99)was low. The cake was especially disappointing. For a second layer to be added, the cost was $35 or $45 plus a $45 delivery fee, which I had to pay even though the package came with a 8 inch cake. To add flowers on the cake is $20 a layer, FYI. My guests complained about the chairs being very dirty; their backs were covered in dust when they stood up. The coordinator's outfit was unprofessional (jeans) and stood out enough for my guest to comment on. Guests mentioned that it looked bad that I had to open my own door before I went down the aisle; these are the types of details it would have been nice to taken care of. I had so many guests there willing to work in an unofficial capacity, but that's not what I paid for. The best part of the wedding services was photographer from Focal Burn. He was confident in his abilities and his service was an excellent value. (one star) And at the end of day I was officially married, so that's good. (One star) --- 3 months later and they are causing more pain. They have broken the contact and used our images for advertising. read more

We wanted to change our wedding ceremony time, by 1 hour, they wanted to charge a fee of $300. We decided to cancel their service, and even after paying a $500 deposit, we were informed that we still had to pay an additional $476 to cancel. We cancellled 90 + days in advance, but that still wasnt good enough for these crooks. They still wanted the additional money, for a wedding that was not gonna take place. The overall service in the end was what we needed, but there sure were a lot of road bumps (that we're still dealing with personally) along the way that was just not handled very well. The first invoice we received was just blatantly wrong, my wife had to email them to show them the wrong price, and they did fix it. We were charged for many things that I think we shouldn't of been charged with (such as parking, when the venue has free parking, and photography, when all we received was digital photos, albeit done well, and a few other things..) The icing on the cake was our marriage certificate got lost when we handed it over to the contractors as they said it's part of their service to get it processed. We were told it would be done within 2 weeks, which is great for us at the time since we needed it for insurance purposes. It got lost. My wife called around to try to find it/get it fixed, and Everlasting Elopement's reply was not too friendly. They said it wasn't their fault, and just get another one that'll take six weeks to process, more or less. There goes our insurance. The ceremony, photographer, reverend, and the venue were all great. Our cake was great too, and good for the price. You tell them where you want it, what your idea is, and they make it come true. I couldn't have imagined something more magical for my wedding day. They made the venue come alive. More like an Everlasting Nightmare The actual ceremony was OK (parts were missed even though they were requested during the reception) but the biggest issue was the carriage never showed up in the correct location to pick up the bride and groom. When I filed a dispute with my credit card company EE told me I would have to pay the $55 fee they are charged for the dispute. What?! You provide crappy service and I have to pay your dispute fee?! When we finally agreed upon a reimbursement amount there was a problem with their bank receiving the payment. Of course to resolve the problem EE would have had to pay their bank a fee to fix it. So guess what? They wanted US to pay the fee for their bank to determine why they didn't receive the payment? EE treats their customers so bad they don't deserve to be in business. I paid for the deluxe package. We opted for extra flowers instead of the cake that was included with the deluxe package and photography (because I wanted to document this important day). The bouquet was small (it look like they were picked out of someone's yard) and the flowers were DEAD and the "extra" flowers were a FEW petals thrown down the aisle. The photos were AWFUL. There is not one single photo worth printing let alone keeping. My husband and I take professional photos often and I love to have our lives document so we were very upset. It's the absolute most important day of our lives and we have no pictures from our wedding to hang in our home. I gave them the playlist for the ceremony, in order, and even that was messed up. Highly disappointed. 100% you can plan a much better ceremony, find a reputable photographer, and get a bouquet for much cheaper than I paid these people. I first made contact with Everlasting Elopements three months before the ceremony. I did not understand the process completely and was a nervous wreak up until a week before the ceremony. I never thought of myself as a Bridezilla but my worst came out with not understanding and trusting Everlasting Elopements process. They have a process in place and know what they are doing. They have so many clientele and vendors that you can trust they will make the wedding of your dreams. The real magic happens the week to 2 weeks before the actually ceremony. So if you are booking months in advance have patience and trust their process. Also, it's best to be completely paid up as soon as possible to avoid any headaches. They have everything to make your dream wedding. They specialize in small weddings but they make them grand and memorable. Our vendors did a fantastic Job! So disappointed!! My niece got married July 5th at Port Aransas. Maybe we didn't pay enough money since it was a civil service and only 10 people. My niece called them and texted them numerous times with no response since June 30th. I paid for 10 chairs to be set up and removed. We received no chairs or service. Pastor did show up, thank goodness! The bride was so stressed out on her day, thanks to these people. I just read some of the reviews and I see where they have done others wrong also.
