It's disheartening to feel as though a caregiver is indifferent to a child's well-being, and I believe addressing this behavior is crucial for creating a supportive environment for both parents and children at the daycare. In addition to my experience with Denise, I also noticed that the toddler teachers seem overwhelmed with the number of children under their care. My final straw was witnessing my daughter's hair being pulled and her being dragged down without any acknowledgment or apology from Natalie, one of the Directors . It was alarming to see such an incident go unnoticed by the staff, and it left me questioning why my daughter seems to dread going to school. The lack of communication and accountability is deeply concerning, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of the children. It's disheartening to be met with smiles while legitimate concerns are overlooked. I believe addressing these issues, including the staff-to-child ratio and the need for better communication and supervision. I am deeply concerned that if one of the directors has the audacity to speak to me in such a dismissive manner, then they may also have the power to influence how teachers handle parental concerns. It's troubling to think that legitimate worries expressed by parents could be overlooked or dismissed by those in positions of authority. A culture of dismissiveness from leadership can trickle down and affect how staff members interact with parents and address concerns. It's essential for the daycare's management to foster an environment of respect, accountability, and open communication, starting from the top down. Parents entrust their children's well-being to the daycare, and it's imperative that this trust is respected and upheld at all levels of the organization. Mrs Alejandra and Mrs.Sinclair are great teachers in her class but something just isn't right about the administration.

What can I say, these lovely teachers have always been a great part of making our lives a lot easier. They go above and beyond for children in there care. We have had the pleasure of being in 3 different classes, each with caring and attentive teachers. Our initial transition was difficult because she would not take a bottle at first. In Infant 1 class, Ms. Eudora was patient, creative and persistent until our daughter was a bottle drinking champ. In Infant 2, Ms. Cody and the team provided so many exciting activities and were so excited to share updates as our daughter's language, social, fine motor and gross motor skills progressed. In the Infant 3 class, we have seen her vocabulary and motor skills grow even more. Ms. Yaleni, Ms. Ana and Ms. Evelyn make sure all her needs are met and she is academically stimulated. We have always felt our daughter is safe and cared for as an individual and as a growing learner while at Mariner. The building is new and is kept clean and decorated for various seasons and holidays. The play area is expanding thanks to the school's acquisition of an adjacent lot. Parents are kept updated through a weekly email newsletter and daily through the ProCare app. Teachers update the app for naps, diaper changes and meals as well as posting pictures of activities once or twice a day. Parents can chat directly with teachers through the app as well. The school provides healthy, age appropriate meals included in the price of tuition.

My son is no longer going to this daycare but I wrote this review in my notes the first day he ever…read moreattended so I could post a review when he was no longer attending because one of the directors gave me a bad impression. He was enrolled only January-March of 2020 while I was in nursing school. Before my son started daycare, I went a couple of times to ask about the daycare and one of the center directors (there's two of them, I believe) was nice at first. The first day that I dropped off my son, I thought it would be different. I thought that the director (Tameca) that day would be accommodating because obviously that was such a huge change that both my son and I were going through. I was in nursing school full time and he had never been in daycare before. When I got there, I asked Tameca if I could speak to her and she said "no, not right now" because she was talking to a teacher and I just thought that was so RUDE. I was so mad and it bothered me the rest of the day. I mean, you'd think your experience would be so much different on your sons first day of daycare. She could have taken some time to address my concerns but literally all she said "no, not right now" and continued talking to one of the other teachers. I dropped off my son and he was crying so much and I just felt so sad because I felt like our experience could have been so much better. Knowing that it was my sons first day in daycare, she could have allowed us both in the room and introduced us to the teachers (who I didn't even know or had ever met; I feel like it's important to KNOW who's going to be taking care of your child while you're away) and let him get a feel for it so that he could be comfortable. The way that everything happened was so abrupt and it just left a bad impression on me of the daycare. The only reason that I couldn't move him to another daycare is because I was on a waiting list at another center that I unfortunately was never able to enroll him into. If you drop off your kids early in the morning between the hours of 6:30a-8a, good luck. Your child will be in the "opening room" where ALL the kids (big and small) are placed while the other teachers get there. When my son was enrolled at Kinder Care, there was only two teachers in there with all of the kids. The child to teacher ratio was very disproportionate and I always felt very uncomfortable dropping off my child on days when I had to be at school really early because the teachers in the "opening room" were not nice or made you feel comfortable leaving your child in a room full of kids from all classes with only two teachers. I would hang around for a little bit because I did not feel comfortable and they would say things like "I got it" as if they wanted me to leave. I wish I had a much better experience but unfortunately, I did not. My son was sick almost every two weeks when he was attending daycare. There was a time when I got out of school early and went to pick him up and Tameca was there and she said she was just about to call me because my son had a fever after he woke up from his nap. When I went to go get him, he had a runny nose, green boogers coming out of his eyes and he was not his normal self. Certainly, they should have noticed some of these things throughout the day. It just makes me feel so bad because as a caregiver/teacher, these things should be noted and taken care of in a timely manner. It just didn't seem like all of the symptoms of an infection happened that quickly. I had to take him to urgent care right after picking him up and I just felt like the teachers *should have* noticed that he was not feeling well earlier in the day and I should have been called way sooner. The other center director was always really nice but I did not have a good experience with Tameca. It just made me feel terrible. The daycare always smelled weird and sometimes I would see that my son would have toys in his mouth and I don't know where else they had been. There's a KinderCare app where they send you photos and updates about their snack/lunch times and what they eat but it's all very standardized. Some days I would receive pictures and other times, I would not. Sometimes I wouldn't know how much he ate of his food because it would just tell me what was on the menu for that day. Remember this was pre-COVID so some of the things that I wrote, they may not do now (e.g. having all the kids from all classes in the "opening room"). It was not all bad but I will never be taking him back to KinderCare.

He started at the end of February 2025, and at that time he had a significant speech delay, wasn't fully potty trained, and struggled being around new people. By May, he was fully potty trained (even overnight), speaking in full sentences, asking questions, and even starting to count and identify colors. The moment that really got me?
