Incredible experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Allie helped me with my airbrush tan and I could not be happier with the result! Favorite iTan in San Diego, tho Hillcrest was a close second!! This location is super up-to-date with high tech beds, and even their level 1 is a solid bed (some locations have rather junky regular beds). There is always a bed available when I come and the parking is ample out front. I like my tanning experience to be quick with max results so I can get in and out without anyone knowing I fake it... (Guess the cat's outta the bag) Love the staff here too, always super cute and friendly girls who know a whole lot more about tanning than anywhere I have been. Plus, they keep this place very very clean and that alone deserves 5 stars in my book! Sanitary = Awesome. read more

I have been coming to this location for a few years now. The location is big and always clean! The receptionist are very knowledgeable and informing. The only inconvenience I have is the hours of operations. I work full time Monday through Friday and some weekends. I have been paying for the sun and spa services for a couple of years and I love it. But sometimes I don't make it in time to actually use my membership. The other locations stay open later to accommodate people who work business hours. By the way this location has almost all the spa services and are always clean and working. There also is rarely a wait which is also awesome! read more

HELPFUL, POSITIVE, LOVELY LADIES warmly greeted me with smiles I could hear behind their masks as I just stopped into Itan N.Magnolia in Santee for a last minute spray tan/hydration station session during their $1 weekend. You'd never know they worked long hours with pushy, rude customers (yep-I heard one who was treated patiently, respectfully & kindly which is more than I'd be capable of) by their sweet demeanors. Since I was last minute I told them I could just get one service & they assured me both were fine & checked in with me between sessions, letting me know how long it would be & apologizing for the wait instead of telling me (& others) I should've got my butt in there sooner! I was there a full half hour after closing, yet they were as cheerful as when I walked in. Very much appreciated! I've consistently had exceptional spray tans there & always include a bronzer (& foot stickies). The hydration station is a great way to prep for the spray, not to mention it's 30 min of pure relaxation, leaving you feeling silky & smooth! I sincerely appreciate the extra effort they put in with respect to customer service & highly recommend this crew. If you've never been to an iTan, you dont know what you are missing. I LOVE this place! They have a fit wrap system that works miracles on my sacral-illium dysfunction! It is also amazing for boosting my weight loss goal. I try to use their beauty angel every other day. It is a red light full body therapy in a standing station. It has a vibrating plate for an optional workout. I stand in a squat hold for like 10 minutes. Its awesome. Top it all off with a year around tan and so so much more. I cant say enough good things. I've refereed all my family and friends here. The Santee location is my absolute favorite. Kali and Justine always remember my name and make me feel at home. They make me feel at home, which I love! I've been going to ITan for a while, but have just recently started coming to this location. Every time I go in the employees are always so friendly, and personable. I went today and Jordan, Kali, and Lexi were all working, and were so nice, and helpful! I have so many good things to say about this place. First of all, the customer service impeccable. I can flat out say, I have never had better customer service from anywhere ever! I can't stress enough how important customer service is to me and these girls r the shizzy. really. The reason I decided to try this place is because it's literally in walking distance to my house and I usually have to go much further for my tanning since typically I do the air brush. So I tried them out, and the tan was just as good as the other places I have been. What makes it better is that they asked if I wanted my face tanned. and one of the times I've been in there I told the girl who was air brushing me (Amanda), that I was going to the beach right after and she put a good couple layers on me :) and she took her time and the tan was perfect! I recently decided to try the tanning beds. Since I was new to the beds I had no clue what to do. I called in and Megan talked me through every step and when I came in she explained everything in detail again and took the time to show me. I now go here numerous times a week and will continue to do so. read more

Wow what a poor way to do business. Watch out everyone if you do the membership freeze. I froze, they took my money causing overdraft fees When I called them that same morning before the banks even opened and explained the issue they said they could possibly refund but it may take a few days. So now every day (3 now) I'm charged $33 by the bank. Santee iTan said oh well sorry. Can't do anything. We didn't even have to refund but we like our customers and want to do the right thing. What a joke. Wouldn't even let me talk to the owner. The "manager" said she doesn't have authority to reimburse me for all the fees they caused so I said I wanted the owner. Nope. Can't talk to her. I would stay away from this place for sure. Unless of course you want to get robbed. What a joke. I'd have lost my job if I treated customers this way. When we mess up we pay out of pocket to keep our clients. I guess that's the difference with class and no class. read more

I tried the heated body wrap and the beauty machine and I was impressed that the services truly only cost a $1. I asked a ton of questions and Shelby took the time to explain every answer to me. They have everything you need for you to come in, burn yourself, clean up and walk out like nothing happened. They have elastic ties (because I forget one every time), deodorant, wipes, hairspray, etc. Prices are decent, and they always have some type of deal going. read more

Okay, compared to other salons its really nice. The girls are always friendly but they ALWAYS try to sell you something but I get it thats their job and probably get crap from the owner/management if they aren't selling enough. My 2 major problems with this place is 1) that something is always breaking down and it takes days or even a week+ to get it fixed (mystic, body wrap). I pay a lot of money to have unlimited everything and when something breaks down I'm paying for a service I'm not getting. 2) They don't offer all the spa services itan says they have but they still charge the same amount for the spa services. Yes I know I can go to another location to find a spa service but hello I go to this salon because its in my neighborhood and its convenient! I don't want to drive and waste gas money to go to mission valley for a service that should be offered at every location. Anyway, my beef is mostly with whoever runs this place and chooses not to invest in more spa equipment. The girls are nice and its usually a friendly experience. So overall its A-ok and I will continue to come here. read more

This location is great. All the girls are extremely friendly. The place is always clean. They change the bulbs often. The spray tans are great and they make you feel very comfortable. The only thing that I think needs to happen is people need to stop stealing the deodorant from the rooms so the owner can continue to provide them to the honest customers who don't steal. read more

I recently just started going to Itan and I love it. They always have great specials going on and they have so many San Diego locations and if you have a membership at one you can go to them all! I'm partial to the mystic tan. I'm not gonna lie I was a bit apprehensive about a spray tan booth at first, since I had only been airbrush spray tanned by an actual person lol. But it came out very even and natural looking. I'm pretty fair skinned and I always get the medium with the accelerator and bronzer. Don't forget to get some sticky feet! read more

I love this location, all the girls are so helpful and friendly, very genuine, not rude or snooty at all. Whenever I have a question I don't feel stupid to ask them, I only tan occasionally but when I do, this is the only place I will go. Amanda the manager always has a bright smile on her face, as well as Jamie and all the girls, I always feel welcome. It is also very cozy and clean I feel at home, I rarely have to wait, and when I do, they always give me options for other beds or give me a reasonable wait time. I needed to get some color for a bachelorette weekend, and I was skeptical about using the tanning beds. I didn't want a spray tan because I knew we were going to be in the pool a lot, and I just didn't want things to be spotty or come off faster than usual. I went around to my friends, workout partners, and my trainer and they all said I should check out iTan. This location is literally across the street from my house which is awesome because you can't beat the convenience. There is always parking. I was greeted by Amanda and let her know it was my first experience and I had absolutely NO idea what I was doing. Amanda made me feel at ease about the whole process. She walked me through the studio and showed me how to use the beds. (Everything was so neat and clean..Extra Plus) She let me know about my options, and the best part was that I didn't feel like I was being pressured into this. I will not forget her kindness and her willingness/patience as she walked me through the steps, and taking the time to explain everything to me. Now every time I go in there for a session, I get nothing but great service. All the girls in there are friendly. I've been with them for about a week now - I waited to write this review, as people's experiences seem to change whoever is at the counter and I wanted to give an honest review.
