I have been a member of this tanning salon off and on for years. It has been fairly good up until recently when I've noticed the quality of their beds have gone down and they don't perform all the functions that they offer like - Aquamist and the temp-Tronic in one of their level 5 beds. Perhaps this wouldn't be such an issue if they would address the other problem... The past month and a half the temperature inside the Salon has been extremely warm (84 degrees as observed recently) and has made the indoor tanning experience very uncomfortable-Especially when the beds aren't performing their functions properly in the first place. I'm not sure if their air-conditioning is just broken and they have not bothered getting it fixed or they are too cheap to turn it on during the height of the summer months in El Cajon, but this needs to be remedied asap. People are not content in that environment- I've even heard other customers complain. The other franchised locations offer a much better experience- especially Santee! Their same level 5 bed is fully functional and the temp is nice and cool inside the salon. When I go there, I don't get out of the bed sweating like I just ran a marathon, sadly it's much further from my home, so it's not a salon I can frequent. El Cajon can take some tips from them on how to run a successful salon. read more

Extremely rude staff. Will reserve rooms for certain customers they favor. Went in today asking for room 1 for 6mins. Was told it was on hold for another lady who was in another room and had another 5-6 mins left then she would use room 1. Made me wait over 30mins. Then they clean the room and don't even call me to tell me it's ready. I had to get up after waiting so long to ask if the room was ready which it was they were just chatting around. read more

I've been a customer of this iTan for several years; first as a spray tan subscriber, then as a spray and spa subscriber, and now I have everything, sun, spray, and spa. Their services are on point and product variety is unsurpassed. The salon is always clean and staff is always welcoming and professional. Went in on the Fourth of July while it was a lot to take in and a little bit overwhelming, all of the girls did a great job of explaining everything and making us feel welcome. I have been to two other Itan locations (one of which I will never set foot in again). The El Cajon location is by far my favorite. They don't maintain their equipment. The girls are lazy. I have fallen many times and the radio is so loud they can't here you yelling for help. I quit going here . Got a spray tan here the other day and it looked great. It wasn't as pricey as other places are and the place was very clean. I'd come back.

The staff here are always a pleasure to deal with, even when they're super busy. As much as I prefer to get my tan on outdoors in our usual ideal SD weather, my schedule doesn't always allow it. The best part about iTAN is that you can use any of their locations throughout the county, and you can also freeze your account if you're not using it. Rates are occasionally increasing, so once you're locked into a rate, keep it or freeze it. There's no contract requirements here, so you can theoretically cancel whenever you want. The rooms are clean, and they provide eye-protection and towels. read more

In this world surrounded by negativity, it's very nice to encounter friendly people that make you feel welcome. This is the case with all of the people I have had the repeated pleasure of encountering at the El Cajon location. The first person I met there was Kiersten. She treats you like a friend in addition to being professional and helpful recommending the best options to accomplish your tanning goals. Tonight, Nadine and Ava continued that same tradition of friendly, helpful service. I've been coming to this location for a long time now, and I've seen the changes that Covid has made to virtually everything we interact with. From people, to the way we do business etc. it's been a challenge. But the people at iTAN in El Cajon have more than adapted on a positive note to these challenges. And it's because of the people that work there. Period. Anyway, I think it's important we pass on positive praise instead of yelping negative reviews all the time. I have been coming here on and off for a better part of 20 years! There have been several people that have come and gone that worked there! I recently unfroze my account and had the pleasure of dealing with Aliyah whom is the manager of that location! Everyone of the young ladies who work there are Awesome! I have sent so many of my friends and they WILL NOT go anywhere else! They are all so friendly and very knowledgeable about every single service they offer! Aliyah just stands out to me because of my story of why I had to freeze my account and to come back and unfreeze It again! She listened to me and was so sympathetic and i was emotional and she was such a doll telling me I was going to be ok! So to this I give you guys 100 stars if I could! I was in need of a quick tan to even things out and stopped in ITan in elcajon where I was greeted by two super friendly young ladies Hannah and Jaylee, they assisted me in choosing the best tanning product and explained the different beds so I could get the maximum tan.
