I was pleasantly surprised there wasn't that horrible off-gassing smell at similar type places. However, they did have some kind of odd blinky holiday lights that made annoying noises throughout my visit. I toured each aisle and there wasn't anything to my liking but I can see where a new Asian restaurant could completing outfit their establishment with everything they need. It was nice to see they had real plants! I would consider returning for those or maybe some of their pots. Prices were okay, not great. You will not miss this place, there is a huge business sign and parking is available on both sides of the lot. I don't know where to begin looking, the store is clutter but it is a good clutter. There are tons and tons of stuff. Its like a one stop shop, Things you need in Chinatown and the flea market combined together. There are sandals, shoes, clothing for mens, womens, children, tshirts, hats, make up, hair accessories, phone accessories, even blankets. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask the owner, she is super friendly. I recall her name is Long. I had fun talking to her and she helped me find what I was looking for. As I mentioned I found 2 items that I didn't need but needed. I saw 2 hats , I didn't think I needed it but bought it for my mom and good friend. ( they both love hats!) I came to shop not looking for hats and not needing it but then I am so glad I bought them because my mom and good friend loved the hats. I also bought those funny saying shirts to give away as souvenirs. They are pretty funny! I was able to use my 20 percent Yelp check in and I am so happy to discover a new place in Portland. I noticed the blankets are cheap, they are the really soft blankets which comes in different color, prints, and even comes with a bag. I remember those blankets, during my childhood days my mom used to buy that blanket for us and I remember they cost more than what Portland Closeout sells them for. I am going to buy a blanket next time I visit. After paying for my items, Long mentioned that her husband is at the store across. Note: Portland Closeout is in 2 separate shop. The store is in front where Long's husband manage has all household items for your kitchen, home and garden which includes furniture, plants, even paintings. This store does look clutter as well, but its a good clutter!! I noticed children's bicycles out in front. This store has EVERYTHING!! Overall, I love how I discovered this place and I enjoyed my shopping experience here. I will be back. Grocery items all seemed to be of questionable origin, freshness, and quality, and their prices didn't really seem to be any lower on most of them than what one would find at a conventional grocery store. I was amused by the "hardware" section. The tools were of laughably poor quality (far worse than Harbor Freight fare), and the prices were far too high for their (complete lack of) quality. Their apparel section has among the strangest fashions I've ever seen, and I suspect that none of them will actually ever sell. One curiosity, though, was a selection of rugs. If you're in Vancouver, and need a rug, this may be worth a visit.

We happen on it while eating next door at the newer Filipino place (former home of the German sausage place). Place seems to have a variety of stuff ranging from shirts, some no perishable food, and some books. Mostly what is in here is garden and yard supply stuff. I think it would be a good first stop if you need a shovel or garden supplies. Might as well start at the lowest price and if not found move on to another store. What makes this place great is the owners who are fun to chat with, helpful and overall nice people. A good business worthy of support.

Service was usually good. There is no other outlet nearby (one in eastside Portland, one in Gresham), so it will be missed by all regular customers. Their card advertised "close-outs and liquidations," and now, sadly, it seems they have been closed out and liquidated.

They just had cashiers with an extrmely long line. It took about 15 mins waiting in line to check out. Certian sections are well orgnized and others are not. It looks a bit dingy and messy in parts of the store. They allow dogs so that is nice and their sales benefit the Humane society which is awesome! We brought our pup. I found a few great nicknacks and a great little bench seat with an embroidered top for $7.99. Needs to be refinished. Really good prices on many things. There were not enough people working and they were kind of unproffesional and unhelpful. They seemed extremely stressed. I wanted to see things in a locked in a case on the floor. I politely asked the clerk about it and she said it will be like a half hour and never looked up at us at all or when checking us out or said anything pleasant or nice. Something for them to work on. Some customers also seem clueless about just standing in the way of others from looking at things and chit chatting for 5 - 10 minutes. It is not a coffee shop people.
