Brand new record. Not labeled that it was marble so it was a great surprise as I prefer the fun vinyls to the plain black ones!

I was worried about the parking situation, as I had driven past dozens of times and saw that this store was situated right on a pretty busy street. I guess I had never paid attention before, because there is a free public parking lot not far away! Really a cool place. There are used and new records and CDs as well, plus some other stuff like shop stickers and shirts that you can buy. It's also priced well--I got two new records for $60, which was cheaper than buying them on Amazon with the added bonus of they didn't have to be shipped. A good variety of artists and genres. I could have spent hundreds here. Definitely will be going back!

This place is unreal. Just a music lovers paradise. It has the usual bins of CD's/vinyl but so much more. Tons of hard to find collectible versions of CD's, figurines, books, photos, and posters. Should have taken pics while I was there for 3 hours in my first visit. They also sell tons of DVD/Blu-Rays of old concerts. These are at best soundboard quality and at worst recorded with a handheld from in the middle of the venue. They can be a real hit and miss in quality. I've purchased over a dozen in my last 2 visits. They were all great, but one was absolute garbage quality. I went back and told them and they gave me a full refund and said in the future, they will return any that are not of acceptable quality, which is absolutely amazing. All the employees are knowledgeable and very friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Great Record Store. Lots of CDs and Vinyl and Cassettes too. Alittle bit of everything, really. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are fair too.

    Good indie vinyl selection

This is a great neighborhood record store. The selection of indie vinyl is really good, and the prices are comparable to what you can find on Amazon (without shipping!). They have a good diverse selection of used vinyl, and if you're willing to dig deep you can find some hidden gems that are expensive on eBay (for example, I found a Monsters of Folk album here for retail price, only $20, which is so rare that it normally sells online for $100+). Speaking of used music, if you're trying to trade in your old records/CD's, they are pretty generous with their in-store credit for your trade-in. The best part about Everybody's Records, though, is the people. The employees that work here and the people that shop here are obviously passionate about music and it has a really cool, chill vibe...like your favorite neighborhood hang out. This is a must stop for any music lover or record connoisseur when you're in Pleasant Ridge.

I really like Everybody's Records. It's really nice to still have stores like this around to hang out in..to browse in..to discover new, as well as older, music in. Their selection of vinyl is pretty vast, as well as their memorabilia. The staff are all really great nice people as well as being wholly knowledgable about all things music. The only issue that I've had here is that from time to time when I shop here they just don't have anything I'm looking for. There have been times where I have brought in extensive lists of things I was looking for only to leave with nothing. So basically I so want to spend my money there to support the store but there's nothing I'm looking to pick up. For the most part tho I am able to walk out with at least something, and it's really not that big of a deal to spend a couple extra dollars there for something in order to support the store.

The used section is well worth scavenging and the vinyl has added greatly to my collection.

This FYE location is probably one of the better ones in the area, but that's not saying too too…read moremuch. They seem to have a slightly better selection of music than usual, but I have noticed that the section has been shrinking in recent visits. I have the same issue with the pressures to join clubs and sign up for things at checkout here that I do with other locations (I won't go on my rant again, if you want to hear it refer to my previous FYE reviews). That will always be my biggest problem with any of these stores. In the off chance I don't get the harassment at checkout I take note and really appreciate it. Seeing the direction these stores have been taking lately I can't see them being around too much longer, especially the locations in the more dying malls (like this one in Tri County). In the meantime I'll continue to attempt to patronize them..and regardless of my issues I'm sure I will really miss them when they are gone.

Here is another review I could swear I'd done already…read more I've been dealing with FYE since around 1998 when I lived in Florida and they opened a store (with video arcade!) near my house. Since they were in the mall, they were expensive. You expect stores in malls to pay extra for rent, etc., correct? I was amused by the "100% used guarantee" stickers on the DVDs and CDs traded. That's easy to guarantee that they were used. I suggested that they change the stickers to "Used, with 100% guarantee" but that still didn't make the point. I guess blank stares are what people on minimum wage do best in Florida. I saw a lot of them. Okay, so you're making your own right at this moment? Yay! I'm consistent. FYE, in my experience, runs great manager's special sales. When things aren't moving, they drop the price drastically, and you should buy it then, and don't look back. My first time at this location, they had some 3D movies for $19.99, which was about $20 cheaper than FYE, Best Buy, or even Walmart. You generally have to shop there regularly to spot those deals. Employees at this location are sometimes incredibly friendly and other times, very quiet. Does Tri-County Mall do that to a lot of employees? I see that across stores.

It may be small but you will be surprise with the selections of music. Everything was categorized and easy to find. Jazz, Rock, R&B Soul, Soundtrack, Rarities, etc. I would rather go to a record shop that is not too huge. It can be overwhelming and overkill when there is way too much. My boyfriend and I found quite a few old school vinyls for reasonable price. There was even one soundtrack I was shocked to find and it was only $5.95! Definitely made my day. Besides vinyls they sell T-shirts and even turntables. They even have a listening station. The owner was very friendly on giving me tips on finding some good speakers for my new turntable I got for Christmas. I was pleased with MetaModern Music and can't wait to go back to purchase more vinyls!

Initially when shuffling through some of the rock albums I was pleasantly surprised to see some different titles that aren't super common. BUT its when I got over to Hip-Hop that my eyes lit up. One of the better selections I have seen for sure. Already regret not snagging the Chance 3 vinyl so I gotta plan another trip over here soon. Despite that mistake on my end I still left with two gems, A Love Letter To You 4 - Trippie Redd & Madvillainy - Madvillain. The latter of the two I have been looking for and never found in-store. J.C was super nice and actually sacrificed the cassette from his own collection since he had no new copies for sale at the time. Unfortunately I didn't have time to dive too deep into the smoke section. That being said it was a neat setup and I know plenty of people who would appreciate being able to pick up some smoke accessories to accompany their listening experience. Really like this joint and I am lucky to have stumbled upon this gem of a shop, check it out!
