I told him I needed a half hour call prior. They said they would call when they were a half hour out. My son called me around 1 o'clock to say they were at the house. Should he let them in? I told him yes, I got on the phone with the guy and told him I was supposed to get a call he said he tried to call which I've never really had issues getting calls, so I'm not sure if he actually tried to call. I said I was on my way home and I looked and the map said I was 14 minutes from home. I told the guy I'd be there in less than 20 by the time I got in the house the oven was on already and heating. So he repaired the oven in about 15 minutes, but here's the part where the one star review comes in. I explained to him that a year prior I had a burnt wire and they charged me $105 total. he said it was the same issue. He just trimmed the wire and reattached it told me it was $225. I tried arguing with him that they said the diagnostic fee was to be removed when they did the repair he said yeah he took off the $105. so I asked him if he was charging me $225 for 12 minutes worth of work to which he said that's the shop minimum. when I called today, the girl who answered the phone, didn't know of any such minimum. I explained to her that about a year ago there was no parts involved so they only charged me the trip charge anyway, I wouldn't use them as I feel they are a rip off would not recommend them because he did the repair without even getting permission from me. Basically it was done before I got to the house you would think he would've said hey this is the issue it's going to cost this much instead when I got home within 15 minutes of when he called to say he was there he told me it was $225 and he had fixed it. I will never use them again ...

I would put a zero start if I could. Cameron came into our home to fix our built-in…read moremicrowave/convection oven. After less than 10 minutes, he told us that our microwave/convection oven was too old. He said the the mother-board was no good and he can't find the parts to repair it because it was too old. He charged us $105.00. The next day we drove into Gilbert to purchase a new one, but it had to be ordered from Spencers. The cost for a new oven was $2048.00. Two days latter Cameron text us asking for the model # of the oven. (We thought, how did he check on the part if he didn't have the model number?) So we called an appliance repair shop in Phoenix, told them the model # and they said they have parts but don't drive to Casa Grande. So we took our oven straight to them and they fixed it for $269 plus tax (diagnosis and repair). We stopped the order of the new oven from Spencers and now we have our old matching oven back in our home working perfectly!

Absolutely recommend!!!! You don't find businesses like this anymore. Edwin was FANTASTIC!!!!…read moreWe've been having issues with our 20 year old Kitchen Aid built-in refrigerator for several months. The water dispenser and icemaker stopped working. My husband repairs everything in our home. He was an engineer. He's replaced parts, torn apart assemblies, poured through service sheets and the internet and has been unable to fix this issue. We were hesitant to call anyone, because we had a bad experience years ago, where another appliance repair group told us on the phone that it would be a $250 charge to come to our house to diagnose a problem on our washing machine, and then if they could fix it, the repair cost of parts and labor would probably be over $500, on top of that diagnosis fee. That was more than the washing machine originally cost. My husband got on the internet and figured out the issue and repaired it with a $20 part from Amazon in 30 minutes. My husband did not want to make a call for outside help, but I insisted. We needed professional assistance. After much research, we found Appliance Works, a family owned company that had fantastic reviews online. We called them to schedule an appointment to come out and diagnose the problem. The diagnosis service call was to cost $95, and it would be applied towards any repair costs. After our other experience, this sounded like a dream. The day of the appointment, the technician, Edwin, was right on time. He was sharp, knowledgeable, and professional. To make a long story short, he spent almost three hours working on our problem. He even got Brett, the owner, on the phone when he couldn't figure out the issue after 2 hours, and Brett was right there to support him in thinking through the possible issues. When is the last time you encountered a company whose owner gave that kind of support to his field personnel? We thought they were going to tell us that we owed more, but at the end, the bill was only $95. They gave us a quote for repairs and applied the $95 against that quote. We now have a working refrigerator again. This is an awesome company and they hire incredible people. The owner supports his people in a way that you just don't encounter in most businesses today. We can't say enough about them. Don't look any further; just call them if you need help with an appliance.

Went to schedule an appliance repair. Called and was told they need a card on file. Not a problem…read more That is pretty standard. However they said they needed to email me a form that I then had to print out, fill out and send back with my credit card info. I feel like this is pretty unprofessional and quite frankly a little shady feeling. With AI and scams out there this didn't feel right. Reviews can be fabricated on a website. So it just didn't feel right. A suggestion for your company being that it's 2026. Get this to work digitally. The next company I called sent me a text and I filled out the info on their system. A lot more secure and not as much of a hassle.
