im not the type to give any bad reviews however what I experienced the other day was awful. I have been coming to this salon every now and then for the past 4 years and never had anything negative to say. However I was a walk in and had a specific design that I wanted. I remember the lady that was doing my nails always messed up my friend's nails in high school but hey it's been years maybe there's growth and change. i was unfortunately wrong. the lady that did my nails rushed through the process. She didn't clean my nails before putting polish on so there was still dust on my nails from my previous acrylic set. The way she did my design looked very sloppy and i politely asked if we could just do a solid color instead because i didn't like how it looked. She removed the design and did a solid color however she got polish all over my hands and cuticles. My cuticles were bleeding. it just looked very messy. I went to wash my hands and was not happy with how they looked. I couldn't bring myself to pay $60 for it which I usually would never do or say. I told her my concerns very politely and even apologized and she proceeded to yell at me in front of a salon full of people. she told me I shouldn't have come here and I should've went to my go to salon if they were so good there but that is an hour commute. anyways she said she would cut off my nails which I thought was unfair. why should I have to pay for a new set now? she sent me to another one of her coworkers to remove the polish. everyone was staring at me and I was trying so hard not to break down. I was silently crying and shaking from humiliation. I left hysterically crying with my nails unfinished. I will never come here again. read more

NOT SANITARY. Tools are not sanitized. The same scrubby is used on everyone who sits in a chair. you can get a contact high- very poorly ventilated. I'm never going back. I luckily didn't get a fungus or more. read more

I had Bob, and he was horrible. He did my pedi in less than 20 minutes, and the paint job looks like I let a preschooler paint my toes.

I have a regular salon but Evey's is closer so I decided to try. First time was Halloween, I arrived at 4:00 but told they were now closed they sent staff home for trick or treating. I actually totally get that! Today is Saturday, I got there at 3:00 and again was told they're closing! I went yesterday only because i had a gift certificate. first of all, they used a DRILL to take the polish off of my REAL NAIL. totally unprofessional. then i had my nails done and they were the purple color towards the end of my nail. last night i noticed it looked like they started changing color, and now today, i can't even tell you what color my nails are. but i can tell you that they sure are ugly. very disappointed. i will never give this place another dollar. also found out that only ONE person here has a license. spend your money somewhere else!!!! read more

I have never written a yelp review before on any business, but the manicure and pedicure that I received yesterday was so bad that I felt obligated to. I have been getting my nails done for 16 years (mostly acrylic) and I've never had this bad of an experience. I typically go to the same salon, however since I have taken my acrylics off I figured it would be ok to try somewhere closer. First of all, no one even acknowledged me for about 10 minutes, it seems that they only are friendly to clients that they know. My gel manicure was extremely rushed, it was about a 12 minute gel manicure, which typically takes at least 30 minutes. One of my nails last night chipped, only a few hours after having them done. My pedicure lasted about the same time. I still have cuticles on my toes and the paint job looks like an 5 year old did it because the corners of my nails aren't even painted. After I dried, I noticed one of my big toes had brush marks all over it, I asked her to fix it thinking she would remove the polish and do it over. However, she just piled on another coat of paint. After spending 60$ I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. read more

If you need an appointment they won't accommodate people's schedules. Also, I never heard of a nail salon that closes so early at 5 and that are closed on Sunday. They use razors which is not legal for salons in NJ. There are better salons in Morris county Worth the drive. They are cleaner too. read more

Made an appointment three weeks in advance and waited over a half hour to get my nails done. had a very busy day planned since my son was getting married that weekend. going there for years because of the convenient location but not always happy with the results. The environment was very quiet, but the salon was busy for a Saturday morning. I waited for the tech that was recommended by a friend. I was pleased with her work, and the time she spent with me. My nails look great, and Hannah does some amazing nail art. The first time I went there , it was great and the woman that did my nails was so cheerful and welcoming. Well....today was different I went in for a gel manicure, the woman helping me was Hispanic, wore glasses and a short bob natural hair cut. She wasn't very friendly or warm at all from the moment I sat in her chair. I asked her a question about my nails and she responded very coldly, so I didn't feel comfortable asking her anything else. I guess that's when she realized she was coming off very rude so she asked a couple of questions about my pregnancy. When it was time to pay, I tipped her anyway and once again she responded coldly "Thanks." As if the Amount I gave her wasn't enough ($5) Ehhh.. not to mention the manicure looks kinda crappy. Worst nail salon ever!!! I had two different app. And I was blown off twice. First time I was taken 35 minutes later than scheduled ,and not with the person I booked with which was Lynn The owner. The second time Jaime (Lynn's sister) did that, I waited 1 hour and there was No one there to take me. Just as Lynn arrived with her sister Jaime. I asked what the problem was and why was my app. not important to them. She retorted telling me she was pregnant and that we're celebrating. This was the answer from Jamie mouth to my ear. Let's not forget to mention they speak in another language rudely right in front of you. Making it hard to believe they are not talking about you. It does not sound kind to say the least. My wife came here today 6/28/17 and she left in tears, she is pregnant and just really wanted to do something for herself. It looks as if our four year old painted them and they are refusing a refund. The cost with a way came to $83.00 they said they would refund 16 dollars for paint accept she now has to go somewhere else to have them redone. The wax was fine but they need to refund the hands and feet. My wife is a high risk pregnancy and came here to be pampered not upset the very least you could do is a refund minus wax. Now I am patiently waiting for a manager to no avail. When I first spoke with a technician on the phone she laughed when I explained the seriousness of the situation. Unreal read more

Great staff and always available for an appointment! I love the convenience of its location as well. Many salons around here are ridiculously over priced but not them! I do wish they offered more than the basic mani/pedi because I do like to splurge on my pedi's and will normally get the add-ons! But overall, great experience! Hannah was a super sweet tech and made conversation very easy. Place looks clean and nice lighting. The crowd in there was friendly and good vibe. So I took a chance with this place. I've had my fair share of disappointments when it comes to getting my nails done. I walk in and I was greeted nicely and asked if I had an appointment I said no she said someone will be with me shortly. And sure enough not even 10 minutes waiting and a technician came to get me. Hannah is an angel of nails. LOL She is absolutely amazing. My nails came out great, the conversation was good. I love it when I meet a fellow foodie. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. Waste of money. My pedicure lasted 15 minutes tops and they charge $25. If I wanted just my nails painted and lotion rubbed on my legs, I could do that at home. I spend all day on my feet at work and wanted a nice foot and leg massage. I came here on Monday to get my nails done with a friend. After I had left and touched my nails they weren't done and I did not have the time to go back. After arriving here today Wednesday the 25th, I walked in and tried to explain to an employee what had happened. Every single nail is smudged, the paint is chipped off every corner, I can see the the glue on nail through the paint and there are finger prints all over them where she had touched my nails. As someone who works with people all day accommodating them for what they need, I figured it would be a good idea to go back and get them fixed before thanksgiving which is why I originally got them done. After speaking with this lady she basically laughed in my face and said "so what you wanna do? There's no one to fix your nails today I can't help you. " Are you serious??? What kind of answer is that??? I guess eveys doesn't give a crap about their clients and customers. She didn't even care that there was an issue, real good for business ladies. Step up your game. I'll NEVER EVER EVER recommend this nail place to ANYONE. Who wants to pay $55 for a shitty nail job when it's a nail salon??? It's not like it's a nail hair place it's strictly nails. Next time maybe you guys should consider hiring people who actually know what they're doing and maybe think about hiring people who will help customers instead of laughing in their face. I was really hoping to have a convenient and affordable nail salon in the area. I got that. What I did not get is a good, basic manicure. Hard to mess up but while drying I noticed the nail beds were bumpy from not removing the prior polish sufficiently and the nail tips were rough. They just needed to be buffed down. Basic stuff. I had to go back to have them redone . Although it was done correctly on my return and without issue I could never recommend a friend (or anyone) here. Friendly customer service is important (I will give them credit for that) but it's not enough if I can't rely on getting a decent manicure. Too many other places to choose from. read more

I had to put my two cents in on this one.......I don't know what this "Sandy M." is talking about from 2011. I moved to Sussex County from Bergen County about 8 years ago. It took me a while to find a place up in these parts that I liked and catered to my crazy O.C.D.'s but I eventually did....I have been to both Evey Nail locations - the one inside Walmart and the one across the street near the staples. Not only was I thrilled with the cleanliness of the place, but the owner as well as the full staff are knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and catered to my needs. I get my brows, lip, chin and underarms waxed as well as my mani's and pedi's. I probably have the most vicious chin hairs and the most callused feet possible, but I gotta hand it to the technicians....they are AWESOME and take their time with you, not like other salons that rush you out the door. They get every bit of chin hair and callus I have. It's a friendly, fun atmosphere and you feel like you've known them forever upon the first visit. I have been to the best of the best Day Spa's and Salons and Evey's is better and way more cost efficient. My Mother, who lives in Michigan, waits to get her mani's and pedi's when she visits me due to the wonderful job they do. So, in closing I think this lady who wrote the negative review forgot to take her meds. or something because she's out of her mind!!!!
