I was very happy with my experience here. Coming from Long Island, it's been culture shock to move to the Poconos. Not only is dining hugely disappointing, but I've tried quite a few hairdressers and I've left so utterly disheartened. Salon Fig was such a positive experience. My hairdresser, Ava was a delight. She was easy to talk to and truly listened to me. Together, we came up with a plan for my hair. I valued her input as she explained each step of her process. Sometimes, hairdressers can be jarringly rough with shampooing but Ava made sure the water temp was comfortable and massaged my head with just the right amount of pressure. The hot towel treatment after was heavenly. I'm happy to say my curls are back and well defined, unlike my last hair experience, where the hairdresser blew my hair out straight despite me sharing a photo of a curly hair style. After my hairstyling, I purchased small quantities of the products used. I've started using them and I'm very pleased. Salon Fig is not inexpensive, but I will definitely return. I can't bring myself to give the salon anything less than 4 stars and here's why: it's a GREAT salon if you're looking for a standard, simple haircut, and beyond that I have to commend their commitment to organics (so rare in this industry!) But if you're looking for something trendier or more complicated in your haircut I would suggest you go elsewhere. Pros: Love that they're committed to organics. The salon has a lot of great merchandise and definitely has a calming effect. The staff is very nice, the prices are insanely good, and they do things that other salons don't, like little goodies and even send you a card after your appointment. Stuff like that goes a long way. Cons: I really hate my haircut. And we all know it sucks to hate your haircut. But I really really hate it. I think it's my fault by wanting something more trendy than I think the salon could provide. My last hairdresser would cut these little pieces that would magically be perfectly placed...when I asked for this, I ended up with random little scraggly pieces that really don't look good. :( The only other thing I would say is that the product-pushing is a little overt. This place is beautiful on the inside and smells fantastic. Natasha sat me down and discussed everything she was going to do before shampooing and conditioning my hair with some great smelling soaps. I had about five inches cut off because it had been so long since I last got a haircut and it came out beautifully. I am so happy I was able to get a same day appointment because I am from out of town. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. They even gave me a goodie bag on my way out! read more

Yesterday was our first visit there for my daughter to get her Curly Cut with Becky. From when we walked in to the moment we left the salon, they all made us feel welcomed. My daughter is 6 years old and it is her first time at a salon. Everyone there treated her with so much love. Great organic salon! Friendly staff perfectly capable of executing any mens womens or kids hair cuts. The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. Giving you a sense of ease. Tea or coffee is always offered to the guests and appointments generally run perfectly on time. Lots of organic products are also available from shampoos, to makeup, to candles, and even essential oils and Diffusers. Which is great for gift shopping or for yourself. I have an appointment for Myself on Friday with Natasha. I went with a friend yesterday while she got her hair done with Natasha. What a beautiful place! Completely organic and amazing. When you walk in, you are transported instantly to a mini vacation. The first thing that hits you is the smell. Not the gross chemical smell that you get in salons. Since this place is organic, there are NO chemical smells (for this reason they don't offer perms). The smell I mean is a beautiful, calming smell of a diffuser of essential oils. Instantly calming! They give you a tour of the establishment which includes a vast organic coffee and tea bar in their relaxation area, a beautifully calming facial room and reflexology room. Beautiful open floor plan for the salon stations. On your first visit, they also offer a purify hair treatment for free which left my friends hair absolutely beautiful, healthy and shiny. I cannot wait to have my appointment for my day! Go to this place. It's the perfect mini vacation for some me time!!! read more

Super relaxing and educational facial! I have been searching for an organic all-natural spa for a little over a year & kept coming up short - either way, way too far OR not really "all-natural". And I am an ingredient psychopath. From the moment I walked in to Salon FiG I felt at ease, from the essential oils diffusing to the extremely pleasant staff. I was treated like gold by everyone that I encountered, which was a huge plus. Becky introduced herself, brought me to the facial room and dove right in to my skin concerns. She really took care of addressing all of them - including being incredibly mindful of my not-always-accepted anxiety disorder. 1. She is REALLY SWEET! 2. She was SO, SO knowledgeable - not only about skin issues, but with every-single-teeny-little ingredient and why it was beneficial. Becky expressed that the Salon may be even more nit-picky than I am with researching product ingredients & how everything the use/sell IS all-natural. She also repeated herself which helped me to really absorb all of the information, as well as made sure to have me reach out if I did have any questions or concerns after my appointment (uh, what? Doctors barely do that nowadays...). I was also very impressed that from the beginning I felt NO PRESSURE to buy anything additional... Becky addressed what I was looking for in the facial within the first few minutes (in regards to routine or not), and if I was even considering changing/adding products to my current regimen. She went on to describe each step of the facial in full detail, including how she would handle any reactions I may have. After the most relaxing & painless facial I have ever received (such sensitive skin!) Becky gave me a few minutes to come back to reality, informed me as to exactly what kind of skin I had and set me up with my skincare starters. She literally showed me how much of each product to use - SO helpful! She ALSO prepared me for my skin to get worse before it got better, as the new products would be purging all that crap out - MAJOR. When I was rung up, I received a great (eco-friendly!) goody bag with tons of product-line information & samples of soap, lotions, teas & lipsticks and I got a bunch of tips and tricks for the products I was purchasing. I also got a discount on two of my products because they were green & it was st pattys weekend :) Becky ran me out an additional sample as well, which was completely unnecessary (but super appreciated!). And, the receptionist informed me that some products are refillable 1x, saving a few more bucks AND the environment. I will go back, again and again. And for mani's and pedi's and hair and makeup and tea... ALLL THE TEA! In just about 5 weeks all of my sensitive patches cleared (overnight), while I am just about over the hump of the "big purge" and my skin feels AWESOME. And I get to go back in a few days, the prices are REALLY right here people!!Salon FiG is a hidden gem that canNOT disappoint!!!! There are few public places that leave me much more relaxed upon departure, and I am so glad I found it close to home. AND I no longer need to spend hours researching freaking skincare ingredients *so many hours saved*! Way to go Sussex County!!!! read more
