The first thing that stood out was the size of the station. There are 40 DC fast chargers, including 27 Tesla chargers, so finding an available charger wasn't an issue. The entire facility feels modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed with large solar canopies providing shade over the charging stalls. What really separates Rove from a typical charging stop is everything else they offer. There's a ReCharge by Gelson's market with snacks, drinks, and fresh food, a comfortable lounge with free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms, a car wash, complimentary vacuums, and even a water bottle filling station. It feels more like a premium travel stop than a charging station. I especially appreciated the little details. The property was spotless, there was security on site, and the complimentary vacuums were a nice touch. The facility feels safe, well-maintained, and welcoming whether you're stopping for 15 minutes or a longer charge. The location is also convenient right off the 5 Freeway, making it an easy stop while traveling through Orange County. As EV adoption continues to grow, this is exactly the type of charging experience I'd like to see more of. Plenty of chargers, great amenities, clean facilities, and a comfortable place to spend your charging time. If you're an EV owner and haven't checked out Rove yet, it's worth the stop.

Just off the 17th Street exit of the I-5 freeway, this location is easy on and off on your commute.

Plenty of dining options, more on the dine in style. If you're looking for something quick and easy, there's the farmers market a couple minutes walk. Of course there's the movie theatre which is great. The whole grove concept is similar to the Americana which is larger. Dining options, shops and of course the fountain. It's a staple in LA that's worth checking out.

But now what ? You will go back to the store after walking to your parking floor?!? This policy feels unreasonable and excessive. Customers who come to support the businesses at The Grove should not be penalized with outrageous parking charges over a few minutes. Situations like this discourage people from shopping and dining there. There should be a grace period or a reduced fee for customers who slightly exceed the validation time, especially when they are actively spending money on the property. We came specifically for Yoko Ono's exhibit and really enjoyed it. I love how interactive her work is. Art is so much about intention and narrative, and you can feel her lifelong dedication to peace and thoughtful reflection on society throughout the exhibit. The Broad's permanent collection is excellent, and the space itself is open, airy, and very cool. General admission is free (you have to sign up for time slot entrance), but we paid $21 per person for the Yoko Ono exhibit. Once you're in for the special exhibit, you also have access to the museum's general collection on the third floor. Overall, it's a fantastic museum and well worth a visit, whether you're coming for a special exhibition or just to enjoy the Broad's impressive collection.

The artwork that I remember from the BCAM is now here, along with other pieces from the vast Broad collection. You can book free tickets online ahead of time, though there is an additional charge for special exhibits, like the current Yoko Ono one. There are free Thursdays which give you entry to the special exhibits gratis, but you must book those tickets ahead of time. The staff are very friendly and handle the lines professionally. The architecture of the building is very interesting, with a dramatic escalator entry to the second floor to see the collection. You can see artwork from Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha, Kara Walker and so much more. We rode the Metro here and were able to avoid the expensive parking. Bonus!

One time it was 5 cars long. The fact that the chargers are in an active bank parking lot makes things very hectic during bank hours; it is difficult to know who is waiting and who is not. There is no "take a number" system; just an informal wait of cars otherwise blocking access to regular parking spots in the lot. Finally, neither the bank nor EA seems to spend any time or money on keeping the charging areas clean. When I was there they were littered with soda cups, coffee cups, cigarette butts, etc.

When I tried to talk to valet, and later the front desk for parking, they had no solution. Their best answer was to wait an hour and a half for a tow truck. When I explained my wife was pregnant and we really needed a better solution (e.g. a gurney that many downtown parking lots use for this situation) they told me they didn't have that option. I tried to talk to the manager who hid from my calls for 30 minutes and when I finally did get in touch he said it was my fault since "I parked too far forward to allow somebody to park behind me." At that point it seemed insulting and almost comedic. I am posting the chat where the manager blamed me for parking too far forward as proof.
