I really wanted to love this place, but the techs here are hit or miss. After my last experience I wont be back. Recently I had a gel manicure done that lasted all of 3 days. I went back to show them the shotty job that was done- my cuticles were not properly pushed back and the paint was lifting and chipping on every nail, so they scheduled me for a repair 2 days later and gave me permission to soak it off at home since it was snagging on everything. When I arrived for my appointment they told me they need to charge me for a new set because it was now past 5 days. I had time stamped pictures to prove the manicure didn't last, but they still refused to redo my nails now saying they'd "fix chips within the first 3 days" but that they don't redo the whole job. Consider my experience before you drop $60 on a manicure here. read more

Tried it here based on a friend's recommendation and so happy I did! Clean, quiet and friendly!! I got the deluxe pedicure and she did a wonderful job. I enjoyed my experience here! They were very friendly as I walked in. After I picked my color, I was guided to a seat for my pedicure. I went early on a Wednesday morning, so there was only one other customer there. My nail technician was quiet, but nice. I love the massage chairs they have. After she was done, she said I could stay as long as I wanted for my nails to dry, and to relax, which I appreciated. I will be back soon! read more

I've been to this nail salon a total of three times and it's the only one I've been to since moving to NC. I came by myself the first two times and was pleased with the quality of the service and the friendliness of the nail techs. Sadly, my third visit was not a charm and I'm very disappointed that I no longer plan to return. Since my first two visits had been so positive, I chose Evolution to bring my daughters (8 years old and 9 years old, the day before her 10th birthday) to get their first manis and pedis. It was a celebratory birthday weekend treat and my daughters were so excited. They had a great time: loved the foot soak, scrub, foot massage, and their beautifully painted nails. The problem came when I realized I had been charged for 3 adult pedicures ($30 each) instead of 1 adult and 2 10y/o and under pedicures. The price chart in the lobby clearly displays the cost of a child pedicure as $25. It was a simple fix, all I wanted was a $10 refund. Instead, I was told the price "in the system" is $28 for a child pedicure. I pointed out that this is not the price shown on the price chart in the lobby and again I was told that the system has a different price and I cannot go off of what's in the lobby and on the website. I was issued a $4 refund. This encounter very much soured what was a festive outing. I'm thankful my kids had such a great experience, but I can tell you that their next mani and pedi will not be here. read more

The girl that did my nails had the worst attitude. Very unpleasant, downright rude she was very unprofessional. Charged me $50 for sns manicure and my nails are thick, rippled look like $hit. First time at Evolution and have to say that I was relieved when it wasn't a mad house when I walked in. I stopped in around 3:15pm on a Sunday and two other people were there. It's super clean and spacious inside. I had my first experience with SNS and also got a brow wax. SNS turned out great. Brows came out okay too (I prefer threading but needed to get a quick touch up before a week of work travel). Staff is friendly though my technician didn't chat with me - which I was totally fine with as I had just worked out for an hour and was beat. I moved from my Bella Spa to Evolution because their customer service is horrible, I thought that I found the best place , clean , the girls were nice and polite however today I have experience the same rude, disrespectful and bad customer service treatment that I had before, they ignore you when you enter, they didn't even talked to me , I understand that they are busy and working however just one minute to say hi, sorry we are busy come back or don't come back at all , something at least to feel appreciated, I asked several times and the lady only keep looking down and murmuring something in her lenguaje to the receptionist however no answers to me . I went today to try Evolution for the first time for SNS removal and a toe polish change. The spa was VERY clean, and had a nice aesthetic to it. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. I also appreciated the nail technician that removed my SNS not pressuring me into having my nails done again, (I am taking a break to help improve the health of my nails), as do most nail salons I have been to. I will not waste my time again. Upon entering the establishment I was greeted by a younger employee, good. I advised I would like to get a gel pedicure, noted there were only 3 other clients in the building. One getting a pedicure and two others receiving nail treatments. Not busy at all. Young lady said okay pick out color from regular nail polish colors and they would match. Not really an issue but why can't I look at the gel colors. Okay then I picked out color and waited then waited then waited some more. No one said anything like one moment we will get you a seat and find the color close to what you want and have a seat here to get water running, nothing. So I kindly put the polish back and left. I did not feel truly welcomed other than the fake greeting when I initially entered. After that no one cared if I stood there an hour. At least it felt that way. Bad business because they could have had a new loyal customer. I stopped in based on their good reviews on Yelp but unfortunately I did not have a good first time experience. read more

This is my second time at this salon! I came back because they were AWESOME the first time, but they had not yet had their "official" grand opening! I brought my 9 year old with me the first time and we were the only customers in there. Everyone was super nice and accommodating to our needs. I was able to converse with them and found out some of them went to the same school my daughter attends now. Needless to say, it's a family owned business and they are very friendly. Its Very clean and modern. The second visit, I was alone and they were busy, but the service was the same! Excellent customer service and attention to detail! I highly recommend this spot! 1st time here and with the hubby for pedicures and SNS take off for me and then basic manicure and polish. Really thought the girls did a great job. The hubby said it was the best pedi he had in a long time! I've been going to Party Nail for a while, however got tired of making appointments and being told they had to cancel on me last minute because their girls didn't show up for work. Also thought Evolutions prices point was way better than Party!! And lastly to have my SNS taken off by hand instead of harshly with the drill was wonderful!! My nails were so thankful!! My daughter got a full set of tips and SNS nails. Within less than a week they were beginning to left off at the nail bed. She had a dance to go to could not go back to get them fixed until a week and a half after getting them on. At this point, at least three were lifting. Their solution is to fix the three leaving them looking different than the others. I asked if they could take them all off and redo them and compensate me for the issue we had with the three. Nope. Full price - for their mistake. I wasn't asking for the whole thing to be redone for free. Just fix the ones they did a poor job on and I will pay for the rest so they match. Nope. Needless to say, we will not be returning. A salon with good reviews in a nice area should be willing to work with you not make you angry enough to never come back and leave a bad review! read more

I have been to the salon a few times for gel manicure and pedicures. My experiences have been terrific. My gel lasts 3 weeks and my nails look beautiful. The nail technicians are friendly and sweet. I have taken my young daughter for a pedicure on two occasions and they made her feel extra special. This by far has been the best nail salon I have visited. read more
