I called there because I wanted to get some old finish sandblasted from a table top I was working on, they said they could do it no problem- I could even watch them do it. I took the table top by to have them see it, they suggested trying to chemically strip it first and then bring it back for a sandblasting finish, I did as suggested and went back, they said one day, two at most. Four days later I called to check and was told next week. The following week I called back and was told it wasn't ready and it's not really worth their time to work on a small project now, they had bigger contracts to fill, they wasn't sure when they would have time for it. I told them never mind I would come pick it up. When I got there it was still laying on a bench in the work area, covered in sawdust. I got it home cleaned it up only to discover deep scratches & gouges in the wood as if heavy/sharp items had been put on top of it. A day's worth of sanding and I got some of the scratches out but not all of them. A complaint to the BBB is next on the agenda. Never-ever trust these people to do work for you, they are horrible. read more

I'm really sorry to see the experience another reviewer had because it was completely opposite mine. I got Evolution's contact information through my contractor in the local area and started by calling them from TX in the spring about a large cast metal patio set I had that was peeling and that I would be transporting for use at a vacation home in the area. Kay, the contact I spoke to, gave me a cell phone # to send pics to her for an estimate. She very promptly got a VERY reasonable estimate back to me, which was at least 30% less than those I'd received in the DFW area. I told her I would like to work with them and she was super friendly, informative and patient with all my questions. I went by a few weeks before the patio set was due to be delivered to them this summer and she let me take a bunch of metal 'sample' colors to try next to my log/deck colors to make sure I chose the color that would work best in the actual environment where it'd be. Although they were a couple days later than they first estimated in completing the work, I was very confident that it was because they were taking their time to do detailed, top-quality work. When I arrived with a friend's trailer to pick up the set, I was amazed and extremely satisfied with the work. The crew helped load the heavy pieces for us onto the trailer. There were no 'extra charges' because of addl. work that was required to remove and reinstall some plastic parts, which I wasn't aware of on the table/chairs, which would have been decimated in the oven. I have had nothing except a wonderful experience working with Evolution Powder Coating and would recommend them to anyone asking for a local vendor doing this type of work without hesitation. My only suggestion for them is to make some relationships with some local short haul movers, that they could share with their clients to help get heavy pieces back and forth from their homes to the work site.
