I finally got dental insurance and the first thing I did was research a great dentist, in my area, and in my network. That's when I saw Dr. Ayala's business and decided to make an appointment. The wait time was short, took about 5 minutes since I had to fill out the paper work. I went inside with the Ana, who is comical and took any worries I had about not being at the dentist for 9 years away. I had a deep cleaning with the dental hygienist, this was the second cleaning I've ever had in my life and I was beyond scared of the pain but she did such a great job I hardly felt anything. Dr. Ayala ended up doing a wisdom tooth extraction. Let me tell you she might be small but she is mighty. She gave that tooth a couple of pulls and within minutes it was out. Being a new patient somewhere can be a little bit intimidating but I'm glad I chose this office because I felt very welcomed from the moment I walked in. I must admit, I'm a chicken. It took me over a year to find Dr. Ayala, but now that I have, I'm not leaving. She makes me feel safe, and is quite caring. She has the magic touch, so if you're afraid of needles and dental work, consider meeting with her. She will walk you through everything with such professionalism and softness, that you can feel confident that they will care for you. I've come to this dentist quite a few times already. This is the first dental office I've actually stuck with. FI've never had to wait long when I've gone. This office is always extremely clean! I enjoy giving a review, especially when one is merited. I've been visiting Evolution Smiles for several years and the main reason I continue is because of Martha Batista, dental hygienist. Not only is she welcoming, but she is an expert in her field. Her cleanings are thorough and she is fully engaged thorough the entire process. No distractions, no phone interruptions etc.. she is 100% present for her patients and there is enormous value in that and very much appreciated on my part. The practice is quaint and personable. Totally unprofessional. Pure profit center. Establishment makes you sign an agreement stipulating that if you must cancel less than 24 hours, they can charge you. BUT, if you show up for your appointment on time, they have the right to double book you and ask you to wait 45 minutes. Will also recommend services you don't need. BUYER beware! Never coming back to this place. I've gone twice and have had a bad experience both times. They're very pushy when it comes to "recommendations" like I get they need to make money but don't be so pushy. The hygienist is the worst one, very aggressive, just with the suction tube it feels like she's letting all her anger out with it to the point it feels like she's going to bruise my mouth. She also doesn't ask for permission, she just tells you about things, like she'll recommended a treatment and it's benefits and costs, I just say okay or nod as an acknowledgment that I'm listening and then she'll just start doing the treatment... oh and she gets upset when you tell her you don't want to do her "recommended" treatment. The first time she had asked me about one of her treatments, she actually was still midway during the cleaning and I was unable to talk and she just assumed that I gave the OK to the treatment with my silence...just stay away from this place read more

Where. To. Even. Begin. I have been seeing a dentist and received cleanings regularly since I was 5 years old. The in-office hygienist is the most aggressive person who has ever done work on me to date. A wonderfully nice woman, but appears to work on commission for the treatments she offers. If you have insurance, which is the ONLY reason I went to the office...it is irrelevant, you will not leave the office without paying for 'treatments' that you are in 'desperate' need of.... $60 dollars later out of pocket minimum (fluoride treatment for adults and anti-bacterial treatments at every cleaning). I should also add, that the hygienist does not place a sterile covering over the light handle so each time she touches it with her sterile gloves while working in your mouth the field becomes compromise (hello first day of school). No wonder they want to sell you the anti-bacterial treatments. (I continued to go there for insurance reasons and proximity.) (But now, I will take my mouth elsewhere) For the money...find an alternative...I did. Additionally, I was a patient here for over a year...and would not see the dentist at every cleaning. It was brought to my attention that I have a cavity on my last visit, something that could have been prevented or discovered earlier, if I had seen the dentist each visit. When my cavity was discovered, I was informed they would not work on it today, rather call me to schedule an additional appointment, a call I received 3 weeks later. Dr. Ayala, is incredibly nice and I am sure she is a competent dentist. However, the system in which the business runs around her is completely awry. When receiving calls from their office, it is like i am speaking with a absent minded six year old on the other line, they do not announce from where they are calling. I received a call that was scheduled 6 months in advance informing me that I needed to cancel, the only opening they had was 3 months later....then I received a phone call later that week to schedule an appointment and low and behold, guess what appointment slot was available, but my original I had scheduled 6 months prior...to say the office staff leaves something to be desired is a complement. read more

I am so upset. I have been coming here for years since my girls were little and since the office manager Odalys left (who had been there over 20 years) and Dr. Vazquez this place is a mess. My daughter who is underage was told without me present that she had 10 or 11 cavities and needed a few root canals. (She has not had a cavity in years). She came home hysterical. To make it worse I left several messages over the course of the week to speak with the dentist and never got a callback. The receptionist told me that they don't have to call me back right away, but never did. To make it worse I was told I had to pay $850 for a root canal but she did not even mention that I don't pay anything if they refer me to an endodontist in my network. I requested copies of the x-rays for a second opinion and now they called me to tell me they cancelled MY procedure because I am no longer a patient there!! (because I requested my x-rays). I don't think this is legal. Or ethical. read more
