Gables Exceptional Dentistry certainly lives up to their name and then some. I used to live in Connecticut and was referred to Dr. Amador by Dr. Maroon who was my dentist up there. He worked on my teeth for years and his work was also exceptional so of course I listened to him. Fast forward years later and several appointments with Dr. Amador I would give this business 10 stars if I could! Every time I've had an appointment it was quick, painless, professional, and I definitely love how clean everything is. The staff is very friendly and welcoming where they send you reminders of your next appointments so you don't forget. They even call to check on me and Dr. Amador wrote me a very nice thank you card which says a lot by going the extra mile. I put a picture of the bar/waiting room with my review where I drink the Perrier sparkling water while waiting for my appointment to start (plus several points there for that .) The equipment is very modern and advanced with a lot of new additions I didn't even realized existed until recent. I feel comfortable and right at home throughout my entire experience here. Unfortunately, I can't but give 1 start review for this dental office. Although it is a state of the art practice and amazing customer service it is ridiculously expensive for the low cost/cheap materials they use. I spent over $15.000 and many hours at Dr Amador's practice. She did fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions. All crowns broke and fell apart and root canals are still bothersome. When I called the office they asked me to go back to have them replaced because everything was guaranteed. I took time off work, drove all the way to CG and they replaced all the crowns. Only for them to break and fall apart again and again. One of them hurt so much I had to go to another dentist to find out that all of the crowns are of the cheapest quality in the market. They showed me all the options and the cheapest ones were what Dr Amador used on me. You expected that after paying over $15.000 for dental work you expect to get the best quality crowns to last a few years...or not? Oh! And they keep calling me and calling me and calling me to remind me of my cleanings and to make appointments to finish my dental work. Are you serious? Their office location must cost a fortune to maintain...that's for sure! read more

This maybe the worst experience I have had ever had at a dentist (Dr. Amador). I recently moved and my dentist was too far away so I gave her a try. Big mistake! They up sell you and tell you problems that you don't have. I was told that I had 4 cavities and when I got a second opinion from my old dentist, the x-rays showed no cavities. Update time! Recently, my lack of teeth maintenance ended me up with a root canal. I was terrified. Like always Dr. Amador and her staff helped me through this. They explained everything to me step by step. The procedure was painless and easy. I barely had any soreness the days after. A week later I was back in the office for a crown needed to protect that root canal. First of all, this office has all the latest tools making any dental service stress free, easy and efficient. My crown was done in house in probably less then 20 minutes. The second procedure once again was easy and painless and I had absolutely no pain to follow. Dr. Amador and her staff have been my go to dentist ever since i moved here and I couldn't be happier. Every time i need to come in due to an emergency or regular checkup they will do everything necessary to make it happen, which is a plus for us with time constraints. I usually don't have to wait long, and all the process from the care given to the billing is seamless. The staff is very professional and the practice is very tech oriented and up to date. Another thing i love.. everyone is laughing, so it makes it even more enjoyable while you are there... and YES they have a little bar for you to relax before or after your work gets done. Don't go to this place. They mislead patients into thinking that they take insurance and later don't respect your insurance limits and overcharge you as much as they please. It's a complete scam. Mirtha Amador, the only dentist there, is the most unprofessional dentist I've ever seen. In short, her staff tells you over the phone that they take your insurance (implying that they would respect your insurance limits), they don't give you an estimate in advance, and then, after your treatment is done, they charge you for everything as if you didn't have insurance. After I complained about this, they had me waiting for about an hour to then tell me that they had done nothing wrong and I had to pay. I have a good dentist insurance and the basic treatment I received is covered by my insurance. After arriving home from this unfortunate dentist visit and reviewing the information sent by my dental insurance, I confirmed that, assuming they are out-of-network, the most this office could have charged me for the services I received was 20% of $965, which is $193. Instead, my credit card was charged $694.60. They overcharged me $501.60. Not only that, but after my procedure was done, Amador's staff told me that my balance was $900. Only after I asked for an itemized amount, she showed me a printout that reflected a balance of $694.60. That's $200 less than the amount she had just asked me to pay a minute before. That means that if I hadn't asked for an itemization, I was going to be charged $200 more than the $501.60 they ended up overcharging me. This office is a fraud, stay away from it. read more

Took my eight-year-old for a check up and cleaning. Couple of the staff said that my child's teeth were fine but when the dentist came in she said that he had two cavities and needed feelings costing me over $500 cash. My gut feeling told me that this was incorrect and I took him to two other dentist for a second opinion and I was told in both instances he did NOT have cavities. This is by far the best experience I've ever had at a dentists office. Dr. Amador and her staff are extremely welcoming, accommodating and straight-forward. I've never been "excited" about going to the dentist until now. Whenever I come in for my cleanings Patty is amazingly friendly and conversational, and always done an amazing job making my teeth extra clean! During my first appointment with the team it was discovered I had 10 cavities...yes, 10! They explained all of my options to me until I was comfortable moving forward with one that was financially feasible considering my dental insurance situation. During the two sessions it took to fix my cavity issue, they made the experience as comfortable as possible -- applying medication that would ease the pain/discomfort and also giving me laughing gas (at my request). The procedure was actually quite comfortable! I knew this was the only place I would come to take care of my smile.
